I feel compelled to write this review. I was just in Tausha's to purchase some fish. Being new to fish eating I wasn't clear how much I should get. I told the girl it was only me and I did not need a whole piece and she said that she could cut it in half for me. When I got up to the register to pay she told me that was only one serving of fish and it's not a lot of fish. It cost me $22 just for myself which I could pay going to a restaurant and having them cook it for me. The picture below indicates this is clearly two servings. I don't know why she changed her mind (the owner was right there) but I was upset about this and should have just left. They also asked for a tip just for checking out. Sorry Tasha's. I won't be going here again. read more

Sadly, here in Florida we are surrounded by water but most restaurants are serving frozen seafood... Tausha has close relationships with numerous local fishermen and gets the best fresh seafood every day, even fulfilling special requests if you ask the day before. Tausha's has the freshest seafood for sale and also for dining in. We had the fried shrimp and blackened fish. Very fresh and delicious. Bought a very large piece of cod fish and they give you a bag of ice to rest your packaged fish on till you get home! Service was great and the employees are all friendly and respect. We love Tausha's! This is a small, awesome local seafood joint serving yummy fried seafood plates for dine-in/take-out. It's also a wonderful seafood market for fresh quality products! Coolers are set up around the store and clearly labeled with product and price. We love their assortment of fish and shellfish! We get strawberry grouper, yellow tail snapper, ahi tuna, shrimp- rock shrimp, U-12s, royal reds, key west pinks!, scallops, and how can i not mention their frozen hush puppies! In addition to the seafood, they also have a large beer and wine selection. There's a substantial portion of the market dedicated to wine. Hot sauces and condiments galore can be found all around... there's something for everyone! They also have a simple menu of fresh seafood for dining. This is a restaurant too after all! They have sandwiches or dinners... we always go the dinner route. Served with french fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies and sauce. They have grouper, mahi, perch, shrimp and a few other options. Oh my goodness, what a gem of a place. Incredibly fresh seafood and reasonable prices. Service was friendly and quick. You don't go to Tausha's for the ambience. You go there for the food. It's a little seafood market in Port Salerno that also serves food. There are about 10 tables inside with a few high tops outside. There is no host, you seat yourself. You self serve beer from a refrigerator. Utensils are plastic and tableware is disposable. The restaurant is clean with condiments on the table. We ordered the grouper appetizer which was a generous serving of grouper and tarter sauce. We also got the shrimp dinner which comes with French fries and coleslaw. The tarter sauce was sooo flavorful. The shrimp were large, perfectly fried with a generous amount of shrimp. The French fries were perfectly fried as well. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and vinegary. It was not a super mayo heavy coleslaw; so I actually ate it for once. The seafood was also served with lemon which is great that I didn't have to request it. 10/10 I will be back for causal, delicious, no frills seafood. FYI: there is no fishy smell despite this place also being a seafood market. That's how you know it's fresh. Fresh fish doesn't smell! read more

Great Selection of fresh local catch . Girls at the counter are excellent and food was incredible. A pile of fresh fried scrimp fries hush puppies and some Cole slaw that was slightly sweet and delicious as well as the rest of the meal. Busy time after lunch seating about full. Once I discovered it last week, I have returned three additional times. I ate in and the food was delicious and portions immense. The other times I picked up seafood to cook at home. I got to meet the owner Marty today and he was very welcoming and explained the differences in the shrimp he carries! Being from New England, I never experienced the variety he stocks here! So shrimp scampi is tonight's fare and it will be phenomenal because this establishment only carries super fresh seafood! Try it out! This place used to be good but unfortunately the testament to customer service and quality has all but gone away. An ear of corn costs $1...I can get SIX ears for the same price at the local market nearby. I and many other locals (probably dozens) frequently enjoyed the creations that exited the kitchen, but with the announcement of the closure of their kitchen, that leaves seldom options and has reduced the bustling atmosphere of the joint. With rumors circulating regarding the owners imminently exiting the business, immediate intervention is necessary to preserve the legacy of this local staple. read more

If you want some fresh seafood go here. They had a sale on shrimp last week, I got 3 bags, because they are the best fresh big shrimp and perfect for up-coming Super Bowl. We have been there for lunch as well, the grouper sandwich is outstanding, lots of delicious fish on it. I ordered the fish and chips which I rate in my top 10!
