Ellis Island has great food and one of their biggest straws are a lot of their promotions that they have and you can come in and go to the village pub and get their steak special for $10 but if you come to the front yard, you're gonna get less food the same low quality steak but they're gonna charge you $40 for it the exact same piece of meat and they're charging you four times as much and not even giving you a super salad I was beyond pissed and I would recommend never coming here and eating a steak you might as well throw your money away or go literally 10 feet over and spend a quarter of the price and get way more read more

Due to the current 50% off promotion Monday through Thursday before 7 o'clock, I've been here several times over the last week or so. I'm a regular at Ellis Island but I haven't eaten at the front yard as I think the prices for basic pub grub are not a great value compared to their village pub restaurant and their specials/promotions. The first time I came, I got the brussels sprouts and the brisket street tacos. The brussels sprouts were pretty good, though the pieces of bacon were more like jerky and kind of tough.the meat that was in the tacos was pretty flavorful, but not particularly tender. The second time I came, I ordered the front yard burger with a side of truffle fries. For a $20 burger, it wasn't really anything special. I was brought out regular fries and when I mentioned it, they brought out the correct truffle fries...eventually. the last time I visited, I ordered the sausage platter and an order of the truffle fries again. The platter was good, but basic. fries could've been more crisp. The reason for the two stars wasn't so much the food, though I don't think it would've been worth full price. The atmosphere isn't all that great. I know it's summer and it's a somewhat outdoor feeling venue, but it was incredibly hot and the fans didn't seem like they were helping that much. Because it has openings to the exterior, there are quite a few flies buzzing about. Even though venue is quite large, it seems like it is too noisy with all of the various sporting events being played on the many screens. When I was seated at a booth, it felt like there was a subwoofer built into the bottom of it with all of the booming bass. Two of the three times there were issues with the bill, one of which required the manager's intervention. The service was hit or miss depending on the server and it seemed like management was giving it their best and not really pulling it off. I'm not sure I'll keep coming back after they end this promotion. The happy hour deals seem OK so that might be an option. I'm sure after the remodel is done though, they may start eliminating deals here and at their other restaurants. I do like the beer so all is not lost. read more

They had a private event going on, but we were able to get a table after waiting about 10 minutes. We were walked upstairs, to another bar, a lot of televisions, and a wide open space filled with tables, bar tables, and booths. We were shown our booth, and were excited because the Front Yard is open, and it most likely looks amazing at night if you're able to visit! Our server brought us water, we tried the Hefeweizen, my husband tried the Amber brew which were both a great portion and taste for the price! We ordered the fried pickles, packed with flavor, great crust, and creamy ranch dipping. We also ordered the wings, and we were blown away. They were tasty, smoked, cooked perfectly with so much flavor! The ranch and spicy sweet chili were a great topping profile; but they were perfect also alone! We opted to share the brisket burger since we started getting full with our appetizers. The burger and fries were also a hit with us! It was fresh, coleslaw was crispy, the french onions were crunchy, and our french fries were seasoned perfectly, crispy, and hot. The bread pudding was just an elevated experience for me, because I LOVE bread pudding. It was warm, the ice cream was perfectly topped, the caramel was warm, the skillet was hot, the center of the bread pudding was soft, creamy, and just delicious! The Front Yard is a great date night idea! The food is affordable, tasty, and greatly portioned for the prices you pay. When arriving it already looked like a popular restaurant since there were many people waiting in line to get seated. Luckily we made a reservation in advance so they seated us right away. What we got as an appetizer was the spinach dip and wings. And let me tell you their food has so much flavor! I also ordered their Cesar salad and bacon Mac and cheese. For desert I got their cookie with vanilla ice cream aka heaven. All plates were delicious and flavorful. My favorite definitely had to be the crispy wings. The ambiance was great ! I came to this restaurant during brunch time. The interior of this restaurant was spacious and beautiful with the natural sunlight coming through all the windows. It wasn't too bad of tables being occupied and there were live music playing, which made the environment pleasant. There were clearly a lot of people vibin to the great music playing. The food was mediocre and everything came out so late. We first got our beers and ended up waiting about 25-30mins for our Bacon Mac-n-Cheese bites. My boyfriend and I took our time eating and by the time we finished we waited an additional of 20 mins just for our entree to come out.
