Even the area where you suit up with your laser gun and watch a movie about the rules of the game is cool. I played two games back to back, and both games had at least 20 to 30 people. The arena is so huge that even that number of people seemed like a small amount. Beyond laser tag, there's also an arcade with lots of video games, skee ball, dance games and other things to do. It's very dark inside Lazer X, but your eyes quickly adjust. When it comes time to leave Lazer X, though, you're in for a rude awakening: It's hella bright outside! Agh! But assaulted pupils are a small price to pay for a good time here.

There was plenty of street parking outside with a parking garage around the corner. The sister Escape Room is located in the second floor. This room is easy to find and get into. The place was very clean and comfortable. The waiting room is welcoming while you prepare for family battles! The game show experience is made for people of all ages. We had people from ages 8 to 80. There are 8 stations that can easily accomplish two to three contestants. The room is fun and inviting. The floor and huge screen make you feel like you are on a really game show! Leah was our game host. Leah was outstanding. She was very thorough as she taught us how to play the game. She did an excellent job at guiding us along, cheering us and helping us get excited about the competition. We really appreciated how Leah helped draw in all contestants of all ages into the action. Well done Leah!! The actual game was a blast. We played small snippets of various games. You might not be good at Jeopardy...but you didn't stay there long and then you were on to a new game like Wheel of Fortune. I think we played about 8 different games in the 90 minutes of fun. Each game reached people of different ages and knowledge levels. Each game kept you engaged, entertained and excited about your groups time together. The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory was a place I didn't get to spend a lot of time while in the downtown area, but I did enjoy the time I got to spend there. The conservatory has three indoor gardens and 1,000 varieties of plans (and 2,000+ plants). You can see cacti, palms, a chocolate tree and more. The conservatory was started by News-Sentinel publisher Helene Foellinger and Bill Sowers, a Fort Wayne attorney. The two often visited gardens and wanted Fort Wayne to have a similar experience. The conservatory opened in 1983 and houses 24,500 square feet of indoor gardens, four outdoor gardens, and is owned/operated by the Fort Wayne Parks and Rec department with charitable support. Fun fact 1: A beefsteak begonia was the first plant installed. Fun fact 2: In February 2024, the Conservatory had its three millionth visitor. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for youth (3-17), and free for ages 2 and under. There's a $1 Thursdays deal from 5-8pm and there's no admission fee for the cafe, conservatory shop, or sales garden. There's venue rental available and quite a few classes to take. I generally found things accessible - maybe a bit iffy in a couple spots, but I could generally function just fine. I will say I didn't quite explore everything as I was on a schedule, but for what I experienced I really enjoyed it and could get where I wanted to get.

They moved people through the line very quickly and efficiently. We got good seats in the second or third row from the screen and were able to see perfectly. The sound came through SO good. The only issue I have is that I think it was either staff or the owner but he like knocked on my window which I thought was kind of rude and also as a girl I'm like what the heck dude back off? The concessions were actually really good! And the prices are soooo flexible for a big group of people. I was very impressed and happy with the whole turn out.

And that really is the main problem with going here in the summer is that you can't start the movies before 9 or 10pm, so by the time you get to the end of the second movie it is past 1am. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I guess that is what caffeine and candy are for though. It is an enjoyable experience...Throwing the football around waiting for the sky to darken, seeing the Big Dipper hang above the screen, hearing the crickets chirping over the movie, getting bit by a mosquito, and hanging out outside watching a flic while the sky darkens into a dark black and the stars start to pop. Typically we bring some lawn chairs, a small table, many blankets and a small radio that we plug into the car. We park the car facing away from the screen, pop the lift gate of the van, reverse the last row of seats and then we have seating for 6 easy, good audio, and easy access to items in the car. The seating options give you the ability to walk around, change seats, etc., because sitting in your car for several hours watching a movie may not be as pleasant as you think.

Promenade Park opened in 2019 as the first phase in Fort Wayne's Riverfront Fort Wayne project. Main features include Canoeing and Kayaking, a very cool fountain, games, a pavilion, picnic tables, an amazing playground, a snack bar, a stage, trails and, of course, water. The park is relatively small at 4 acres, but they really have laid it out beautifully and they have quite a bit here. Promenade Park is a KultureCity.org Sensory InclusiveTM Certified Venue. Accessibility features include accessibility to the trails, kayak/canoe launch, main entrance, picnic areas, playground (ground level play features), an accessible restroom, accessible signage, accessible swings, accessible water fountains/bottle fillers, and more. Accessible parking is available along Wells Street (adjacent to the pavilion). The garden area is designed specifically to provide visual and sensory separation. There's tactile ribbon embedded in the pavement throughout the park (this helps people who are blind/low-vision). Pathways are extra wide and can accommodate multiple wheelchairs. Honestly, I was blown away here and so thrilled I took the time to stop and check this out. I'm likely planning an event in Fort Wayne soon, and there's no question I'll be returning to this beautiful urban park.
