I walked past this place as it was closing yesterday night and witnessed a very serious situation…read more A young woman was having a severe allergic reaction and appeared to be unconscious and not breathing & lying passed out under a table. What was most concerning was how the situation was handled by staff. They did not seem to know what an EpiPen was, and no one appeared to be checking her breathing or placing her in the recovery position. At one point, we were even told to leave her alone after they had called an ambulance. Very fortunately, I was passing by and happened to have an EpiPen with me due to my own allergy. I gave it to another passerby to administer who was a medical student, and together with a third person, we stepped in to help because no effective assistance was being given until the paramedics arrived.. The way both the girl and her sister were treated during this emergency was extremely concerning. I don't know what may have happened before we arrived, but once someone is unconscious and NOT BREATHING, basic emergency care should be a priority. The whole experience was very traumatic, and it's difficult not to wonder what might have happened if we hadn't been there at that moment. I sincerely hope the woman and her sister are okay. If I could give minus stars I would.

THE MOOD: After a day of shopping in Westfield Shepherds bush you soon work up an appetite and…read moreluckily there are a number of places to eat. The food court however seems to have suffered of late and not really a comfortable place to drop the shopping and have a nice relaxed meal. The nandos here is large but the queues also the same so best to head out to the range of shops on the walkway. The Mandaloun is located outside just opposite House of Fraser and serves up traditional Lebanese food and you can also have Sihsa outside which has grown in popularity. "The decor is nothing too special and it was a cold day out but also cold inside for some reason. So something for the management to maybe look into." THE FOOD: There is a lot of choice from the menu so I would love to go back to sample more of the menu. We started with the Falafel [Crispy deep fried balls of ground chickpeas, broad beans, celery, garlic, coriander, red and green pepper], which is a good way to test any Lebanese restaurant as its a staple item so you can gauge whats to come. You get 4 pieces which arrived in good time, came to the table warm and had a crispy coating. Just perfectly cooked with a good traditional taste but not too dry and not spicy so suitable for all. To complement we also had the Kebbeh Halabieh [Lamb meatballs mixed with cracked wheat stuffed with minced meat, onions and pine nuts. Deep fried], translated these are dry lamb Meatballs, again you get a reasonable portion of 4 but quite large and both well spiced and meaty taste. I would recommend these. Had the Mixed grill with rice [Selection of grilled skewers: lamb, shish taouk, and kaftah marinated in special sauce with mustard], The chicken and lamb were well marinated and nice charcoal taste (but not burnt) and not dry with great fresh flavour. The kebab was also really nice and all in all a well put together dish with a good selection. You also get a good selection of dips with the chilli sauce worth a mention. You get a little kick of spicy but works well with all the dishes and not too spicy so just right for all. Another good test of a good Lebanese is the chilli sauce and the right sauce can be the make or break... THE DRINK: Virgin Mandaloun - Non alcoholic passion fruit cocktail. Sweet and I really liked this refreshing drink but I must ask for a lot less ice in the future as you get a few good sips and it is soon all over..... THE VERDICT: The meal came in at £50.00 and I am surprised to the read the somewhat negative reviews as I was happy with the food and yes service was a little slow but the staff were friendly and happy to help. I have yet to try the other restaurants available but this was a good start and would recommend eating here and hopefully over time will be able to bring you a review of more dishes as well as more restaurants in the shopping complex. By the way the menu prices on the website are not accurate and have gone up, just to bear that in mind.

It is a bit far from the center of London. # Ambiance Dove has a modern homely feel, supporting comfortable seating with plenty of lighting, setting the stage for a nice little candlelit dinner. # Food and Drink Roasted Romanesco Cauliflower The cauliflower was quite a bit smaller than expected for 2 pieces of cauliflower for 21 pounds. The cauliflower itself is more on the salty side, but the sauce and grapes help to balance out the salinity. Duck fat fries The fries were hands down the best part of the meal. The size of the fries were perfect and they were nice and crispy while maintaining a soft pillowy interior. They were also well seasoned and didn't need any sauce. 30-day Tamworth Pork Double Loin Chop The pork chop is an interesting situation where it takes over 45 minutes to prepare due to the sheer thickness of the pork chop. After the wait, the pork chop just ends up being just alright. It's nicely cooked and served with some kind of jus. Ultimately this dish would've been eliminated on Culinary Class Wars because there was some sinew in the pork chop. Ginger Beer This ginger beer was the most expensive one I tried and it just ranks third out of 4 ginger beers. The flavor is more tame than I'd like.

All of the major sit down restaurants are located in an area called the southern terrace. Jamie's Italian has a nice casual yet hip atmosphere. The staff pretty much are uniformed in blue jeans, white button down shirts and dark ties. Our server was super nice and friendly. I had checked out the menu before hand and was very excited to order the spaghetti and meatballs and the octopus ravioli. There were a number of items that sounded good that I wanted to try, but landed on these two. We had ordered salads but everything came out at once to my astonishment. The good was prepared pretty quickly so there was not too much of a wait. The spaghetti and meatballs were just okay, and fell short of my expectations. The meatballs were rather small but numerous. I would have preferred on large meatball or several medium sized ones. The spaghetti was a little clumpy and over cooked (you could tell it was boiled ahead of time). The squid ink ravioli, on the other hand, was exceptional. There was a spicy kick to the tomato sauce, which I loved. The portions and prices were decent. We ended the meal with a slice of the blueberry olive cake. It was wow amazing! It was drizzles in honey and cream---love! Overall a decent mall restaurant. I am not sure this is one of Jamie's best restaurants. This is a good option if you are in the area.

I had the spaghetti carbonara for dinner. It was one of the better carbonaras I have had. It was not too creamy. And there was a good amount of pasta. The liver. Second largest organ in your body after your skin…read more That's why, when you eat, you get hot. That huge organ is working overtime, sorting the fats from the proteins, sending vitamins this way and that. Helping your hair curl, your lungs fill with air and your brain compute splitting three ways. And they say Sunday is a day of rest. Not for the liver it isn['t. Not if you visit the Anglesea. My liver has sorted many a protein. But none I doubt as gleefully as the plate of molecules set before me at the Anglesea. My liver sent messages to my brain telling me to stop ingesting said ingredients on the plate. But my brain translated that to my mouth to simply ask for more gravy. The friendly server dutifully obliged. When my better half's mouth finally obeyed her liver and uttered the words, "I can't eat any more" my arms completely disregarded my liver's pleadings, reaching over to dust off her left over succulent beef. Every bit as good as my pork belly and only a firm beef eater or pork belly lover would err on the side of one against the other. Pork belly is a much abused cut at the Sunday pub lunch. I had a pork belly roast lunch the other day and I chewed through it like I was chewing through my 10 year old Adidas shell toes I can't bear to part with. But let me state for the record. This pork belly. Sensational. Crackling that does as the name describes. No chew. Pure crackle. Unctuous layers of rendered fat beneath. And tender strands of meat to chew on. Three layers of absolute heaven. Surrounded by gravy of perfect viscosity. Which you can ask for more of. Steamed veg that crunch and snap. And roast potatoes thick of shell and fluffy of innard. These are better than I can do at home. And they are pumping them out by the second here in the busy kitchen. A production line of perfection and the standard bearer for all Sunday lunch roast potatoes. These are the ones. The Anglesea is alive with people all day and getting a table o Sunday can be tricky. My advice is book whatever time they have. We took 4.30pm. The place was buzzing. The place, if you are cool enough to take your eyes off the pork belly, is full of old world charm. Lots of wood. Simple tables and chairs, quite tightly crammed in. A fire. Art on the walls. Higgledy piggledy and elegant all at once. The walls gently urging you to spend a little more on one of the good reds. Dust it off in your own time. This is lazy Sunday afternoon stuff and you won't be rushed. Give the liver a chance to regain its composure. The Anglesea has been packing locals and outsiders in for many years. And this is why. Roll me home and get The Antiques Roadshow on. Sundays have never tasted so good.

Incredible service, perfect food. So happy to have them around the corner! I absolutely love Pescheria Mattiucci! This new place open around the corner from me and at first glace I though it was a new fish monger opening up on a very hot piece of real estate, but then walking by at night I saw people dining there! It's a fish monger by day, seafood restaurant by night. It is run by a family from Napoli who import fresh fish from the family fishing boat. Each day there is fresh fish of the day that was just caught. The owner is super friendly and more than happy to tell you all about the day's product and recommend the best wine to accompany it. They have a couple outposts in Italy and this is their first venture outside the country and it is a huge hit, especially with the neighbouring Italian competitors. At first I thought it was another place that would shut down 6 months later, but I have found myself back here time and again, each time saying "this is THE spot, the best local!". I recommend just putting your meal in the hands of the owner who will most definitely come by your table (there are only about 6 or 7 tables) and order what he suggests as it changes daily. There is always a veggie starter dish that is excellent! Highly recommended, usually consisting of 5 small tasters, and all very well though out. If you have a complex of not mixing fish and dairy (with the obvious exceptions) this place will change your mind. I feel so lucky to have this around the corner, in fact I am about to run out for some fresh fish to cook in tonight! Definitely swing by when you're in the neighbourhood.
