She was unnecessarily rude to the kids, and the way she spoke to both children and adults came across as disrespectful and unwelcoming. A friendly attitude from the first person guests encounter makes a big difference, especially at a family facility. I hope management addresses this, because the facility itself has a lot of potential, but customer service left a poor first impression.

I called the owner and Jennifer texted me back and through Venmo I got a 24 hour door pass to her gym. It has lots of weights, cardio and all sorts of athletic gear to stretch and do work outs. While I was there I met her and her kids. Seniors, young people and middle aged locals came and went while I was there. I particularly enjoyed the tanning bed and sauna room. The shower was nice and they have a couple of lockers. Everyone cleans the equipment after use. A small town gym with big city amenities. I had never seen the pic of Marilyn Monroe working out before that is in the Sauna Tanning booth room.

We waited 30 minutes between water refills and longer for our food. When it came out the short rib gnocchi looks good and the fries on the burger I personally ordered were well seasoned and that's where the positivity ended outside of conversing about the food quality. My burger was bland, the gnocchi felt like gumballs the short rib was tender but didn't taste like short rib. I signed up for a reformer Pilates class on Friday morning and was not disappointed. Although the equipment was a little different than what I am accustomed to at my regular studio in Denver, Spela's instructions made me feel right at home. Perhaps it was all of the tasty cocktails I enjoyed the night before or the temperature in the Pilates room downstairs, but I was a sweaty Betty by the end of the 50-minute class. Like, I needed to go back to the hotel and take a shower ASAP sweaty. But nothing I couldn't do while on vacation! Props to the detox tea I enjoyed in the cafe before class began.
