Just found out Driftwood Garden Centers 1 year warranty is worthless if you don't live here full time. Even though I have a person take care of my place while I'm gone. I live next door to this place and have been doing business with this company for five years. It was convenient and a golf cart ride away. The man I dealt with was pretty rude when he questioned me about just returning and who took care of the vines while I was gone. I didn't go all male Karen on him I just took back my receipts and will go somewhere else from now on. For some reason this is showing I'm from California. That crazy! I'm in Estero Fl and Indiana the rest of the year. read more

The prices are outrageously overpriced. Not just the plants outside, but the vases, pots, decor inside as well. I suggest looking elsewhere- Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart- their prices beat this store by a long shot. read more

The AC guys trampled the plants around my old outside unit. I took a cutting to Driftwood and their outside staff immediately knew what it was and how to plant a replacement. Both bushes. Friendly. Don't buy milkweed for your monarchs. It is treated and/or grown with pesticides. They claim they their supplier doesn't used pesticides but the milkweed may have come in contact with other plants during shipping. They suggest to be safe rinse leaves multiple times and or wait for possible pesticides to work through the plants before letting monarchs feed. DRIFTWOOD please find a different supplier. 100% of monarch caterpillars died. read more

Went today for gardenia & jasmine plants. Also, purchased a lavender plant and ceramic pots, soil & fertilizer. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Other reviews compared the prices but I couldn't find these plants at the Home Depot/Lowes. So I think this place is priced well considering they offer items not available at the home improvement stores. I was pressed for time but definitely want to return when I have more time to browse. They have everything you need for your yard/patio. Lawn chairs, patio sets, decorative items like statues, garden flags & wind chimes. Just to name a few. This place is huge. And they have no shortage of employees. Well staffed. If you are looking for anything for your garden or backyard this place has to have it! Definitely recommend!! read more

My father purchased a tree , paid to have it delivered, planted and staked which more than doubled the price . He was willing to pay because he wanted the experts to plant it. We visited here to buy plants for a butterfly garden. The place is amazing because they have a love of butterflies and they don't spray the plants with chemicals that would kill the butterflies. I found all the plants I needed and then some! My hubby found a few too! Great place! read more

We went to Driftwood to buy indoor trees & plants. Being new to the area we didn't mind paying the higher price for the knowledge of what would thrive and do best in these specific areas instead of going to a home depot or Lowes. We even paid extra for the delivery and planting. Unfortunately, the knowledge was not there. One of the trees and one of the plants died within a couple of weeks. When I called the manager Bobby told us to bad we were stuck. I guess we will be going to home depot after all. read more

Bought 4 citrus trees each with a 1 year guarantee. 3 did great, 1 died, Bobby would not honor the guarantee. Because we leave for part of the summer and have the trees on an irrigation system, it was our fault, "customer neglect". From Bobby's attitude, this is probably the response to every claim. read more

Since we are out of the area, the nursery contacted us to be sure that it was a valid purchase-really appreciate them taking the time to check. The entire staff at Driftwood go out of their way to assist customers ... from the people at the front cash registers to those caring for the plants outside. One very special lady is Judy Mercer, who has kindly helped revitalize some of my orchids that were on "life support," repotting them and explaining why they were nearly dead. Clearly, this is not a big money-maker for the store but providing this kind of customer service is something you can't find anywhere else. In the past, they have also cut drainage holes in pots (purchased elsewhere) that had none. Without charge! In a sort of personal experiment, on occasion, I've planted Driftwood plants next to slightly cheaper ones from Home Depot or Lowes. The Driftwood plants grow tall and thrive - the others are kind of iffy at best. I always request Driftwood gift cards from family for Christmas. You can see why it is my favorite store in our area. read more

I am a 50 year male who is just starting out with gardening / planting.... I know nothing, but had some questions on the condition of my orchards..... Do not get Mary! very condescending.... "ice cubes don't fall from the sky" when I told her that I have been told to water them with ice..... has an answer for everything, and speaks to you like you are 7 years old. Nursery is great and staff is always helpful and quick to ask if you need anything. They have a great selection of small plants up to shrubs. They even have a great selection of pots. Both big and small. They have a great selection of succulents and cactuses. Would definitely rather do business with them than the major stores like Home Depot or Lowes. read more

Really have enjoyed pictures & specials on Instagram prior to my first visit. Despite the $$$ indication on prices I got 4 plants; an Ixoria $10.99 that was less expensive than Lowe's, a beautiful orchid on sale for $19.99, a rare monster $9.99 that I saw at Edison Ford plant sale for $35 and a lovely Bromeliad $9.99. Very healthy strong plants. They have a very large supply of pots but not the hanging tericota pot I was looking for. I am looking for a pot that has a flat side to hang on my lanai filled with my string of pearls succulent. The employees were very helpful in answering questions about plants and locating plants that I couldn't find. All wearing masks. I was struck by how many employees there were and asked how many employees they have. A young man said both locations totaled 100. Also had a great selection of plant stands. I will be back. This place is gigantic and their plants are gorgeous. A little more expensive than some other garden centers. They will also plant a tree/plants- the cost is half of whatever the plant cost (so a $100 tree costs $50 to install). They have TONS of fountains (not sure if they are pricey as I know very little about fountains) and garden decor like statues and wall-hanging decorations. They have a nice fairy garden setup and a large variety of air plants, ferns, little and big cacti/succulents, and a really nice variety of citrus and fruit trees. I was surprised at how big this place was- from the front, it looks like a warehouse with maybe a small outdoor section, but their greenhouse and outdoor space goes way back. They also have a small bonsai section with some tools inside (now these seemed expensive to me, but again, what do I know?) A few of the workers talked to me while I was there and they were very nice. They also said that they will custom order most plants/trees if there's something specific you want that they don't have--but they seemed to have pretty much everything. read more
