Our group of 5 was seated fairly quickly in the rear dining room and service was efficient and friendly. Noise level was mild to moderate. Lots of interesting decor and conversational pieces, including local historical photographs and memorabilia. I had the veggie omelet (photos with review) which was cooked well and served hot. It arrived with crispy hash browns and my chosen option of wheat toast. Great value for quality and quantity and we were all pleased and fueled up. Very convenient location in downtown Laramie.

Lots of travelers find it on Yelp and lots of locals deem it a Nextdoor favorite. The place is bustling on a random Monday filled with people the servers know by name and with those they dutifully seat and meet. We were the latter. Our server was friendly. The place is not a diner by east coast standards but instead a small storefront containing a restaurant. It has a room in front and one in back. With the kitchen and bathrooms in between. The difference here is the food! It is 5 Star Midwest type fair here. Good portions and reasonable prices. Oh my! This place had such good food. It easily was the best meal I ate in a week. We sat down already knowing Guy Fieri ate here but didn't know much else. Somehow through pure chance we ordered the three dishes that are the locals favs as we noticed on a card at the table after ordering. The breakfast burrito was the bomb. Yes, you should order it! The eggs with crispy hash browns inside and your choice of meat, I did bacon, was so tasty with the green chili poured over it. It was plate licking good. The 7220 burrito was also a fave with the pork and the same green chili sauce. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was also so tasty. We didn't stop there because we heard about homemade pie and homemade cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon roll was medium sized with home made icing and lots of cinnamon so decadent. The pies we had, peach & strawberry rhubarb, had flaky buttery crusts and full of fruit. One we did as is and one ala mode with a hearty portion of vanilla ice cream. Sooooo good!

For a small, desolate town driven primarily by the Ag industry and the retirement demographic, this…read moreis truly a gem of a business. When someone pictures a great coffee shop in most other areas of the US, they get more different visions than what the Java Jar is. This is, in a way, its charm! It really feels like someone's tiny little kitchen got renovated into a cafe. It's cozy and the the service is always friendly the many times I've been there. I would have to agree that it may not be the cheapest place to get coffee, but that's fine with me. I'll pay a little extra to feel comfortable and welcome in this coffee shop. I reserve the 5th star because while I feel comfortable, I'm not really that keen on the whole country bumpkin decor. I never did eat the food, but those I went with never had anything bad to say. Overall, if you are familiar with this town of Torrington, you'll agree that it is one of a few places that really stand out and one that you'll be sure to revisit anytime you go through Torrington.

They served it hot instead of iced & since I was in a rush, I didn't say anything but was disappointed They do have a lovely little gift shop area, but it was really odd because nothing in the gift shop was coffee related!?? I was looking for a unique coffee cup, tea pot, or coffee scented candle but NOTHING. it was kinda weird. Overall, I would go back again, but there are things they could be doing better.

To me, the Horchata was super sweet, but it was a good counterpoint to the fries. But oh my gosh, these fries...... Thin crispy fries, piled on the plate with guacamole, pico, cheese, Carnitas (you have a choice of meats), and sour cream drizzled on top. They also brought three varieties of hot sauce, which I tasted (all good), but did not actually put on my fries (didn't feel like it needed it). The Carnitas was delicious and tender, the fries were perfect, and there were generous helpings of guacamole, pico and cheese distributed pretty evenly over it all. This thing was huge. Enough for two people. But did I eat it all by myself? Yes, I did. Almost all of it. I didn't want any of it to go to waste! Service was fast and friendly, the whole place, including the bathroom, was clean and I would definitely stop there again if in the area.

First, after looking at my receipt (in my email afterwards since I was only shown a total on the screen when paying at the table) I saw that all 3 of our food items rang up higher than the listed prices in the menu. I hate it when this stuff happens. Just seems shady. The next, is that I ordered the garden burrito that the manager said was the best vegetarian option. The menu literally starts describing it as "no meat" but afterwards I felt sick to my stomach all day. I looked through the Yelp reviews and someone else said the refried beans have lard in them (pork product). I wanted to fact check so called the restaurant and sure enough there's *bleeping* lard in the refried beans!! Ugh I'm so upset!!
