As first timers the staff was attentive and welcoming..big shout out to our server Jacob. He made sure our food was hot and drinks were plenty! We sat outside on the large patio and watched the people walk by as the weather was perfect. I had the biscuit tower...OMG THE BEST sausage and gravey I have ever had. My husband had the chorizo breakfast burrito and being from Az and living in CA this place had big shoes to and the DID NOT DISAPPOINT!...So tasty. My kids had strawberry crepes and strawberry with chocolate chips French toast and there was none left. My Mimosa was chilled and a nice way to start my morning. This place was poppin' when my friend and I visited! We found street parking in the neighborhood and managed to get seated inside where tables were packed pretty tightly together. The outdoor patio looked fun and more spacious. Everyone we encountered on staff was focused and hard working. For myself, I got a full order of French Toast with blueberry topping. My friend got some sort of Chicken Skillet. He enjoyed his meal! I thought what I got was alright, but I'd like to come back and try something savory. Definitely a well-loved local spot in Laramie. What a gem! We've been to Laramie yearly for skiing and somehow missed this lovely place. The breakfast selection hits favorites and some happy surprises. We hand the pancake combo platter, kids French toast, cinnamon roll and the special prime rib egg platter. The French toast bread was fire, whole grain, thick and delicious. The special pat hashbrowns and a wonderful sauce with an over medium egg mixed in with the steak peppers and onions. The pancakes were simple, fluffy, and perfect. Cinnamon roll was excellently made not soggy at all the perfect combination of crisp and moist with a great topping. THIS PLACE SUCKS! I waited for over half an hour on my food. When I got it, it was cold! I never got my bacon. Then, I had to wait another 15 minutes to get the waitress to come back with my drink. When she came back, I told her that I did not get my bacon. She said that I did not ask for bacon. My husband and I both told her that I did. THEN, ANOTHER 10 MINUTES OR SO PASSES BY, AND I STILL COULDN'T GET MY BACON. I finally went up and asked for a manager. When I explained the situation, THEY ONLY CREDITED OUR BILL 50%! Stopped by for a side of potatoes today, which were the best potatoes my wife and I have had all year.

Food was good. Service was good. We set outside with our dogs. Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table.

My expectations in a small town are always lower, but this restaurant surprised me. Super cute outdoor patio, even more super friendly staff, varied menu and delicious food. We were fortunate to get a table outside. Our waitress was great, but very busy (table with crumbs never got wiped). We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs (with 1/2 green chile sauce and 1/2 country gravy to try the both), the Breakfast Tower (with scrambled eggs), and the Blueberry Pancake Combo. The chicken fried steak was extremely tasty. The country gravy and green chile sauce were good as well. I got a side biscuit with the meal, but it was extremely cold, dry, and okay at best. However the biscuit with the breakfast tower was warmed up and moist with all the toppings, so that's the way to have a biscuit here. Pancakes were large and thick and side of bacon was thick and griddle pressed flat (yum). Portions were nice sized and wait staff/server was very friendly. Can you 5-Star a restaurant for one dish alone? I would say yes. My wife and I stopped through to the 17th Street Cafe coming back from Albany. It's a cozy spot. I took my time looking over the menu and when the waitress came by (super friendly and attentive by the way) and the Mrs. jumps my order and gets the Chorizo Rancheros with over easy eggs. Ok. So I did what I almost never do... I got the same thing. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but you'd never know it because they were hidden beneath the most awesome smothering of pork green chili. Digging into the dish, and that amazing yellow gold flows out from the depths. The hash browns were fried perfectly. Crispy bits on the top and bottom with a fluffy core. I'm a fan of a generous Cholula drizzle with a bit of ketchup. Perfection. To top it off, the dish came with a fried flour tortilla under the mix and they fold a second up for a neat display that works well to sop up everything at the end. In all, it was a great meal. My wife was a bit disappointed with the taste of the coffee, but I'm an ice water fan, and that was on point. read more

Busy day so I would understand some issues. However, we were sat and did not receive menus or silverware. We sat for 20 minutes and I had to ask for menus. The table next to us was sat after us and received menus, drinks and silverware before we even we acknowledged by a waitress. We finally got our drinks, but still didn't have any silverware to stir our coffee. We asked for silverware and 1 water, which has taken over 15 minutes so far. The waitress bussed a table next to us and still hasn't brought us anything. Now the waitress seems upset with us because we have asked for a few things that we need. Hopefully the food is worth it. We finally got silverware and noticed 2 forks were still dirty - not dried dirty like it had been through the dishwasher, but like it had just pulled off someone's dirty plate. The atmosphere is local diner and the service is friendly, like you are having dinner at your cousin's house. You can tell this is a regular spot for a local crowd. The food is standard diner fare and priced really well for what it is. I came in for lunch hoping to get some kind of omelette or breakfast special and then a breakfast burrito with pork green chile sauce called my name. The pork green chile sauce is one of the most addictive things I have ever put in my mouth and I wish I could smother every meal in it. That sauce alone puts this little cafe up there for me. The burrito was so big I had to take half of it back to the hotel. I heated it up the next morning and it was still amazing!
