This 6 week trip was the worst- our Airbnb was illegal so we had to move into a hotel during a heatwave where our 3 pups were stuck. With small yorkies or little ones, they can easily have a heatstroke if taken out for 20 min. We then went to a daycare in Thousand Oaks and turned around. We go to a regular daycare in our temp place out of state so I just knew it wasn't safe for my tiny dogs. I fell upon Calabasas Paws Inn and OMG it was next to my hotel - the Hilton Calabasas. Like 30 sec drive. I booked the initial meeting and I was in right away! I have THREE DOGS. You pull up and they come out to the car and here is what you receive: - my texts are answered right away - HAPPY, amazing staff. - quick, responsive and my dogs are eager to go into the daycare - the owner was so helpful when we had to switch our hotel again - they always ALWAYS send photos. We even got a cut in frame photo which we keep in our hotel. - the booking is super easy. - and my dogs ZONK out when they get home I WISH I found this place first. I will always utilize this daycare when we come back every six weeks and when we move back permanently. The place just feels and looks fun and attentive to your dogs. PS- during the 5 hour trial, I booked a nail trim bc my daycare is supposed to do it every 5 weeks and we noticed they were long and curled. Val and the staff actually came out and told me they took care of it and how they did so. I usually would forget which is why their nails were so long.

When she moved locations I decided I'm going to try her because I was sick of my old groomer not being reliable. My pup is shy and nervous so of course I was nervous to take her to a new spot. Tali not only made my pup feel comfortable patiently letting her interact with the other dogs she also made me feel comfortable. I felt like I was leaving my dog with family - and that is a great feeling seeing I've only interacted with her once before. Poppy my pup did so good, and the videos and pictures she sent me during the process calmed my nervous heart. And if that wasn't already enough when I picked her up she looked sooooo cute!! I couldn't believe how good she did and how cute she looked. As long as Tali is in business I will take my Pup to her, in my opinion there isn't a better groomer in the valley!

My dog is one of the sweetest and friendliest dogs, especially around people. We bathe him ourselves at home without any issues, and no other groomer has ever described him as difficult. It feels like this was simply an excuse to add an extra charge. To make matters worse, they also wanted to charge me for daycare because they said I didn't pick him up on time. I was actually waiting for a text or phone call to let me know he was ready, but I never received either. Instead, I was the one who had to call and text them to ask if he was finished. When I finally reached them, they claimed they had already texted me and said I would be charged for daycare. This entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Charging extra fees based on questionable reasons and poor communication is unacceptable. I would not recommend this groomer based on my experience.

We were able to pay the deposit via Venmo (super simple for those of us who don't really carry cash around and hate credit cards). Mike sent us pictures of our little sweetheart on a daily basis, which REALLY helps keep our mind at ease while i'm on the road or we're both slammed with client meetings. I wanted to know about his house, yard, and where would my dog, Ziggy sleep at night. Mike was able to provide full details without making me feel rushed or hurried. I guess he knew I was a little uncomfortable. It is hard leaving your pet in someone else's care for a short or extended period of time. After speaking with him, I felt comfortable, and more at ease with leaving my dog there. During Ziggy's stay, Mike sent me pictures throughout the day. I was appreciative that Mike took the time to take pictures and send them to me. Mike and his family are the best. Ziggy was very happy during her stay. I would highly recommend them.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

I think of compassion as understanding someone's suffering, and then acting to soothe that suffering. By this definition, Dr. Sheahan is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. When I first brought our cat Benny to her for a swollen eye, she used books, photos, videos, and a whiteboard to give me a clear idea of what she was thinking. She gradually unfolded the possiblity of cancer, so that I had time to process it both mentally and emotionally. She outlined the testing options step by step in plain language. She gave me some privacy to collect my thoughts, and then returned to complete our conversation. She called *after hours* to convince a radiology company to expedite Benny's CT scan. When the tests confirmed her suspicions, she didn't announce the bad news and then walk away. Instead, she spoke with gentleness and sat with my daughter and me in our grief. When we asked about next steps, she didn't tell us to go find a cancer specialist. Instead, the following morning she called *before office hours* to speak directly with the oncologist she trusts, to start Benny on treatment and get him scheduled. And Dr. Sheahan did this on her *own day off,* keeping me in the loop by phone and text. All while tending to her garden, and making me laugh. As a retired pediatrician myself, the highest praise I can give her is this: I wish she were *my* primary care doctor.

In September 2025, my husband and I returned from an 8 day vacation to find our dog's right eye…read morelooked a little hazy. Over the course of the day, her right eye became completely cloudy and I knew she had to see an ophthalmologist right away. Thankfully Yelp led me to the Veterinary Eye Clinic, and the amazing Dr. Sheahan! My family and I will forever be grateful Dr. Sheahan was able prescribe medications to help us heal our dog's severely infected corneal ulcer. Dr. Sheahan explained everything thoroughly as she examined Pebbles and actually showed me pictures of the complications to look out for. She was frank about the high risk of rupture with any impact and detailed the precautions that the we needed to take. She was straightforward about the low odds of healing without surgery due to the severity of the ulcer. Although 1:3 odds of healing with medication sounded grim, with Dr. Sheahan's guidance and recommendations, we got the miracle we needed! Now, 7 months later we got the best news possible!! Her corneal ulcer which was initially 99% deep had fully healed! I knew from reading other reviews about Dr. Sheahan that Pebbles was in the best hands with the Veterinary Eye Clinic. I am happy to be able to relate my wonderful experience and immense gratitude for Dr. Sheahan's kindness, frankness, and sage advice. I love that there are three locations, so that when Pebbles needed her medication refilled, we were able to go to a closer clinic in Alhambra. For checkups though, it has absolutely been worth the long drive to Pomona. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

The first time we went we saw Dr. Kohltfarber. He was very kind and explained what was going on in clear language, and answered all of our questions about how to care for our dog after leaving. The most recent time we went we saw Dr. Ferdowsian. She had to share some scary news with us but was so professional and down to earth that, even though I did feel a bit panicked, I was able to ask all of the questions I needed to and I left feeling hopeful about our dog's plan of care. She also contacted us after our visit to check in and was very compassionate and attentive with all of our concerns. Because of her quick findings at our most recent visit, we were able to get our dog scheduled for surgery at a specialty center that same week to have the issue resolved. Now our dog's quality of life is back to normal, and we couldn't be happier. They are also very clear about costs, including explaining all of our options for diagnostics and treatment. We felt their costs were fair too. We never felt confused or lost, even when we brought our dog in for a more complex problem. If your pet has an emergency I would absolutely recommend them.

No one wants to go to a veterinary urgent care…read more Overall, we had a good experience here. Our boy Atticus was having problems urinating. The staff at Oaks Veterinary were very kind to us and sat us in a semiprivate room up front while Dr. Jimenez did some tests on our kitten (he's 12, but he'll always be our kitten). The diagnosis was Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and we were sent home with a variety of medicines, some cans of prescription urinary care food, and orders to follow up with our primary vet in about a week for more tests. Everything was pretty pricey at $1700, so I appreciated that they gave us the cans of food for free (which our primary vet didn't do when we eventually followed up). They also sent the records over to our primary vet, which I appreciated. I had to follow up with the office staff about getting copies of the records for myself and, when I reached out with concern about how long it should be taking Atticus to recover, it took about 5 days to get back to me. Those are the only reasons it's not 5 stars. Lots of parking and food places nearby if you need to wait.

They fit us into their schedule for an appointment 3 days after I called, and were transparent about the diagnostic costs right off the bat. When we came in, we were feeling scared and worried for our girl. Dr. Lottati met with us and took the time to explain what the possible causes could be. She was very knowledgeable and compassionate. We then left Harley with them so they could check out what was going on. They found a mass on her tonsil, and Dr. Tallant removed it that same day. Harley's quality of life immediately improved! She was back to begging for food and for walks within two days. Dr. Lottati and Dr. Tallant were very clear and compassionate when answering all of our questions. We're still waiting for the results from her biopsy, but we now feel happy and hopeful. We are so grateful for the entire team at Pacific Coast. They helped us through the scariest moments of our lives as dog owners so far. We would definitely recommend them.

I was fortunate to sneak in an appointment thanks to Dr Jess Conner at Studio City's Modern Animal and making a phone call (bless her!). My dog was able to see Dr. Bisignano, and thank the heavens for him. My 12 year old canine had many tests done during the 1st visit and was diagnosed the following week after results came back. Ashley was fantastic with my pups! I usually groom my dogs myself but I had broken my arm and have been out of commission. I called many mobile groomers but only The Gentle Spaw with Ashley would groom my dog who needs to wear a muzzle. We had an agreement that she could make the call at any time if she felt unsafe or if my dog felt unsafe to continue the groom. Well Ashley was so great with my dogs that she was able to finish the groom and both of my dogs were happy! I was so happy as well. It's great to find someone who loves your pups as much as you do! We love the gentle spa! They do a great job with our dog's Daisy & Duke. Our doodle mix used to get matted easily and ever since we started using the gentle spa she hasn't had any matting. The cuts and blowouts are consistently great and we trust the groomers with our babies. They are professional, go above and beyond to make us happy, and are always on time. Did you know the owner gets and sells animals for her reptile and other people's reptiles? I wouldn't call this a caring animal person. Mike was incredibly patient, gentle, and caring with him. He took his time, made Rocky feel comfortable, and did an amazing job. After we spent 45+ minutes getting our dogs in their vests and leashes, harnessed into the car, driven and delivered to Matan, we received a phone call an hour and a half after drop off that the groomer was not available. This is an unacceptable way to do business. Matan Grooming should have confirmed with the groomer before giving us an appointment time, and definitely prior to drop off. Complete lack of professionalism especially for us, a first time customer. Such a waste of several hours. We will not be back.

I found Sage to be a warm and caring person as well as knowledgeable about dogs and grooming. I wanted the Pom to be groomed according to breed standards (this wont matter to everyone but to some of us it's really important) and Sage knew what to do. Her van is impressive, clean and stocked with every little thing your dog could want or need for her/his pampering session. As the first reviewer said, her prices are reasonable and she comes to you. The whole treatment for each of my girls took about an hour. I wish there were scratch n'sniff option on yelp because they both smell SO good. I hope other harried dog owners discover Sage, I really don't think you can go wrong with her.
