Meaning once you walk into one house, you come out and enter the next. Save your money. Now, the first haunt was a Barn. You start feom the top and work your wat down. Man, this barn was off the chain! The sets and girls were honestly perfect. It waa creepy, scary and awesome! This should have been the last thing they had people do rather then the first. The disappointment was once you were out of the mazes, that was it. There was no where to just walk around to, or sit and people watch. So that really cut the night short for us. All in all it was a good time. But if you attend just expect to be back in your car within 30 minutes.

Run by "The Friends of Fort George", a non-profit organization that works with Parks Canada in the preservation and interpretation of Niagara's National Historic Sites. The tour guides are employees of the Fort, so you receive a historic account in the art of "scary" story-telling. Meet in the main parking lot of Fort George, just look for the group forming with tour guides in black capes and candle boxes [note: use the bathroom BEFORE the tour!]. You enter the Fort while it's still light, but this quickly fades as you're led within buildings and through the battlefield grounds. You'll be on pins and needles as you travel through tunnels and are occasionally cloaked in pitch-black, all while keeping your eyes peeled for your own supernatural viewing. The tour lasts 90-minute, during which you'll discover why Fort George is the most haunted site in the most haunted town in Canada! There's apparently a 60% that you'll be one of the visitors to be visited by the undead! While the tour isn't "history" focused per-say, you do learn a great deal, standing on the battlefield where thousands have died. You can tell the tour guides are passionate about teaching through the art of story telling, although I won't lie, I wish I would've had time to re-visit the Fort following the haunted tour for another, more history specific perspective. Regardless, this was an excellent way to learn about Fort George, and you really can't beat the $13CA price tag.

We purchased a package that included the Nightmare Experience. Me: chicken, crybaby, scaredy cat, whatever name you have for me, I happily accept. Never liked scary movies; I know what you did last summer, scream and others like that. NO monsters! Every now and then I will try a haunted house because I know without a doubt, they are just PEOPLE dressed in costumes. Before entering we were asked a million questions about our health, including heart issues and seizures. Ok, I'm already scared. The young lady that took our tickets gave very specific instructions. Hold on to each other and follow the tiny red lights on the wall. It is completely dark inside. What!!! We are in line and once the light turns green to go, we enter. Our final warnings are NO hitting or kicking. If we want to end the scare, all we have to do is yell "nightmare"! Really? Well, she didn't lie! It was total darkness! I was scared because I couldn't see any of the scares coming. None of the monsters that jumped out, or spiders that crawled on me, or the jeep that almost hit us. That was pretty cool. AND, we had to military crawl through a tunnel, in total darkness! Just following a tiny red light that guided us. It was a lot of fun, I did NOT let go of hubby. Glad I used the bathroom first. Lol.

Forewarning, this is a very very particular type of haunted house, so be aware of what you're…read moregetting into. Most haunted houses in Niagara falls (and just in general) are set up to be dark, have some gags, some props, neat decor to look at, maybe some scare-actors in costume; this is not that. This is a dark maze, with dead ends, winding corridors, narrow crawlspaces, and shrinking rooms. There are minimal gags & props, and more loud legitimately terrifying noises, electric shocks right next to your head, and the props are designed to scare the absolute life out of you, and your only guide is a small red light in the ceiling; so if that's what you're into, then this place is top notch. If however you prefer a more calm, artistic haunted house, with an actor in a vampire costume jumping out in front of you, then this place might be a bit much. Especially if you didn't bring an extra pair of clean underwear with you. Highest possible recommendation... But only for a very specific kind of horror fan.

The center is nice, an intimate experience created by people who truly wanted to capture the importance of Black history, American history. Located directly next to the Amtrak train depot in Niagara Falls (which is historically…read moresignificant), this museum is clear, concise, with reproductions of first and second person accounts of the trip to freedom (Canada) near Niagara Falls. Before 1848, this was done with a trip on a rowboat or ferry; after 1848 a train suspension bridge was the preferred highway to freedom. The museum takes 30-60 minutes to explore, and it's beautifully done in multimedia. The gift shop is worth a look too: Volumes of history, and T-shirts. As I was driving away, I looked over Whirlpool Drive to the gorge, and saw the ruins of the old suspension bridge. It made the heart ache: So much human drama happened there, and now it's incognito.

From what we saw the show was great, the illusions were incredible and unlike cases where the tricks are obvious, there were some amazing illusions that had us questioning how that was possible. Two magicians performed and it was very cool to watch. My husband was even able to participate before we left. The one downside I would note is that this is a child friendly show, which isn't a problem, except you may be put at a table with young children. When sat we were put next to each other causing a party of five to be across from us, they sat the young children at the end of the table, so they could see understandably, but they sat parents down at the opposite end. The family was very respectful, but if you are not a children person, this may not be the environment for you. Over all great show! I wish I wasn't exhausted and could have stayed for the whole thing!

Parking was still advertised as "free" if you had tickets to the show so we parked there earlier in the day. **It is not**. This is a festival I try to attend every year. I love the different art that is there and the…read morefestival vibes. Most years there are the same vendors there, but it is comforting. There is always something new to discover. Also, it is in Lewiston, which is one of the cutest villages in the area. During the festival, most of the stores are open, and it is nice to also shop there. I absolutely love the chalk drawing competition every year that the students create. This year's theme was Woodstock, peace and love. The students have so much talent.
