We came in for a Saturday night magic show. We thought it was amazing, but left at intermission because we were both incredibly exhausted. From what we saw the show was great, the illusions were incredible and unlike cases where the tricks are obvious, there were some amazing illusions that had us questioning how that was possible. Two magicians performed and it was very cool to watch. My husband was even able to participate before we left. The one downside I would note is that this is a child friendly show, which isn't a problem, except you may be put at a table with young children. When sat we were put next to each other causing a party of five to be across from us, they sat the young children at the end of the table, so they could see understandably, but they sat parents down at the opposite end. The family was very respectful, but if you are not a children person, this may not be the environment for you. Over all great show! Great experience! Found the show in a Google search after we decided we were done with the falls. We chose it because of the reviews and they were accurate. We had a great time! When we started to think we knew what was happening, he had a unique twist that surprised us. They incorporate animals into the show and we loved that. Overall, 3 adults and 2 teens were captivated. We didn't eat there but feedback from the table was that the food was "meh". We did get some mocktails and were surprised by affordable pricing. We wished there were some desserts to order. Note: If you have a WEGO pass, it's off the blue line by the Howard Johnson's stop. Parking was still advertised as "free" if you had tickets to the show so we parked there earlier in the day. **It is not**. We were told by the attendant that it is $5 cash/$6 card with tickets (still reasonable for the area). Free ended 2 months ago and to take it up inside. I did and they confirmed it ended. I sent an email with the info from their site that says it's free still and they said they would take that down and did offer a refund if I called. read more

The theatre is conveniently located on the WeGo bus line and in an area with many hotels and restaurants around. If you are taking a taxi they all seem to know the location. Lots of parking lots around too for people who are driving. From the outside the theatre doesn't look very impressive. The colour is a kind of yellow mustard. LOL. I think perhaps if they painted it a different colour it would look better. But it does stand out from the other buildings nearby due to its colour. Inside the theatre gives me a better impression. There is a box office near the front doors then a lobby area with some chairs & tables. There are two sets of washrooms. The larger washrooms are on the right side (from when you walk in the door) and the smaller washrooms are on the left side closer to the entrance to the seating & theatre stage. There is a merchandise table where you can buy some t-shirts & donate to the Niagara SPCA. Greg Frewin has been doing magic a long time. I used to see his posters for his shows in Toronto. Then those posters disappeared & I thought he had retired. Turns out he had bought this theatre in Niagara Falls (Canada) & done his shows here! I wish I had known sooner I would have come to see him more often. Anyway, Frewin looks older than the posters outside the theatre but he looks to be still in good shape. The show we saw is called Wild Magic. He changes his shows from time to time. In the ads it's called a Las Vegas style show. I'm not sure what that means but he did some card tricks, and also had some tricks with animals. I normally don't like to see animals as part of any show but it looks like Frewin treats his animals well. He did tricks with doves, making them appear from seemingly nowhere. I thought maybe he had the doves tucked away in his clothes but I didn't see any movement there. So I haven't figured it out. He also had some tricks where he made tigers appear in cages where before his female assistant was. The tiger would be let out of the cage & given a treat by Frewin holding it high so it would stand on its hind legs. Then the tiger was escorted off the stage. I could see there wasn't any forcing of the animal to do anything against its nature (like jump through a burning hoop) and the tigers weren't on stage for long. Frewin also made a parrot appear from thin air. I know it appeared from somewhere, but I'm just saying I can't figure out how he did it. LOL My hubby actually got to help with one trick where he was called to go near the stage & hold a wooden barrel. Then a duck popped out of the barrel. Hubby was so happy to be on stage. Unfortunately I couldn't get a photo because there's no photo & video allowed during the show. Frewin had guest magicians too. There was a young man named Christian (can't remember his last name) who was good & did some illusions with light. There was also a female magician from mainland China (can't remember her name & its not listed on his website) who was really good. She did some tricks with doves & also some balancing on her hands with the doves. After the show you can come up on stage if you choose to take a photo with the tiger. The tiger is in a cage with a divided wall so we don't come into contact with the tiger. But it looks like we are in the same cage as the tiger. Hubby & I chose to do the tiger photo. When we got to the merchandise table we paid for the photo & you could line up to have Greg Frewin sign the photo & take a photo with him. One of his assistants would take the picture for you. We really enjoyed the show. It's family friendly. There were kids there too. You can choose to have dinner there with the show. If you don't you can also order appetizers to have during the show. We had some appetizers (hummus with pita & veggies) & they were pretty good. If we come back to Niagara next year we will come back & see another show. read more

Great theatre. Great show with amazing magic! This show is highly entertaining and perfect for adults and kids. Greg Ferwin is so talented and I was absolutely stunned by all his magic tricks. He had world renowned shows in Vegas but decided to open up his own theatre from where he is from in Ontario. He made the show interactive by greeting the audience during each act and getting the kids involved. I purchased these tickets through Groupon and the entire experience was smooth and friendly. We had originally booked section 1 seats but because they made a mistake in upgrading our tickets due to a large group reservation, they offered to refund the upgrade fee we paid and allowed us to sit in the next available section at no charge. They even gave us a complimentary photo with the tiger. I also really liked the layout of the theatre. Instead of your typical theatre, there were tables and booth seating if you wanted to pay a little extra. Just make sure that you get there at least 45 mins to 1 hr before showtime so that you can get a free parking spot. Overall, Greg Ferwin made this a magical experience. read more

Greg Frewin Theater belongs to Greg Frewin, a world-renowned entertainer/magician. The theater is a single hall that seats about 250 people with a central area that feels more like a movie theater with concession areas as well as a meet and greet area. All in all, specifically created to meet Greg's needs to run his shows. He could easily work in places like Vegas but he opted to stay near home. That's pretty cool. They offer a dinner/show but we skipped out on the dinner and only showed up for the magic show and it was great. Definitely a highlight of my Niagara Falls trip! The magic show was split into 2 segments giving you an opportunity to go to the washroom or to stock up on snacks. The show in itself was easily the best magic show I ever went. Greg and his ladies were amazing with one mind blowing set after another. What I truly loved about the show were the variety of animals used in the entertainment. All these animals were rescued and trained by Greg, something I fully support. The tigers were majestic to look at. I truly recommend coming here for a show, it's well worth your money and time. They're passionate about their trade and it's so well presented and entertaining I would go back to Niagara Falls to watch another show. The theater is not far from the falls and right off the WeGo line if you are using it. Free parking in nice, big lot if you drive there. My family and I did the dinner option and chose a booth in section 1 and it was great. We bought our tickets a week or so ago and found a 15% off coupon on an Ontario tourism site. The food was good and plenty of options for us. It was much better than the few photos I've seen of the buffet on Yelp and other places. It was all fresh. Salads, chicken, pasta, fish, fruit and an assortment of desserts and it's all you can can eat. The only thing is no beverages are included this with the dinner option. You have to pay for sodas, wine and mixed drinks. We got a booth in section 1 and were really pleased with how close we were to the stage but not too close. You can get a booth for one price and fit in a certain number of people for that price. (the music was a bit loud in this area but not horrible) Greg puts on a great show with a combination of large-scale stage illusions and then some stunning close up magic that he does live but via big screens throughout the theater. In an area where so many attractions are overpriced and not worth it we all felt this was totally worth the price and we all had a fantastic time. My kids had never seen a stage magician show and really were knocked out by it. After the show you get a chance to get a photo near a tiger which was fun and was (surprisingly) totally reasonably priced. The line was long but Greg's wife was skillfully guiding people up onto the stage and through the process with a smile so it went really fast. Also, after the show Greg is out in the lobby saying hello and signing autographs for everyone. He was great with the kids and answered questions and posed for a photo with our family. Really cool show. I've seen Chris Angel and a few other shows in Vegas. Greg was funny and on point with a lot of his acts. He also kept the audience active and involved. You can get tickets at a discount if you shop around. I also paid for my 3 yr old who should of been free but because I paid online I accidentally paid for her. Thankfully the hostess upgraded our seating and gave us a free picture with the tiger which totally blew my kids minds. The only thing I would complain about is the table type seating. I live locally, and I went here for an office party. The show: absolutely amazing, and Greg Frewin is a very talented magician. Just when you think you have him figured out, he takes it to another level and stuns you all over again. Captivates the whole room. My group and I loved all of it. Especially the tiger pictures. We were expecting from the beginning to see the tigers a tiny bit more often during the performance, considering how much emphasis are on them in ads and his introduction, but nevertheless, they were breathtaking, and performed beautifully. The only thing I'd want to improve was the actual dinner part of the experience. The food (buffet) was mediocre, and all of it was cold. Seemed as if it had been sitting for a while. When the husband suggested this agic show, to be honest, I thought it might be another one of those lame attractions that is advertised along the strip. I was very surprised, and enjoyed the show a lot. Greg Frewin was a big deal in the 1990s, and has now taken residency here. The show itself has simple tricks along with some heavy contraptions that even if you suspect you know how he does it, still amazed me. Most tricks left me with a wide open mouth, or exclaming wtf?! Most tricks you ve seen before, but still he does them really well. And if you like animals, the show is full of doves, tigers, macaws and even a dog makes an appearance. Best of all Greg seems like a really friendly guy, who makes and effort to appreciate his audience. He sticks around to take photos and sign autographs. He conducts the VIP tour of the backstage and introduces you to his animals. How he does this almost every night takes a lot of patience and determination. There are 6 levels in the theatre with different prices. We sat at level 2 and it was really good view.I think level 3 would have been good too. Any further back might have been a bit too far. They offer a dinner before hand, but it didn't look worth it at all. Snacks ( $4 popcorn and chips and chocolate bar) along with a full bar menu was offered. There is a crazy upsell of the $30 per person VIP backstage post show experience. I usually dont fall for these things, and thought it might be lame and a waste of money, but after reading some reviews, I was a little sold on it and $80 in total for ticket and petting a tiger was pretty okay considering. The VIP backstage tour only accepts 30 people, we still bought the add on durin intermission and there was space. you also get $10 off the picture with the tiger (normally $20) which everyone has the option to take. Its a nice souvenir, except tiger didnt have this eyes open in mine. the backstage tour is about 30 mins. Greg does the whole thing, which is nice because he could have easily asked one of his stage hands or animal trainers to do it instead. You get a free keepsake photo with Greg (although you can also do this during autographs at the end of the show - it might have been of more value to do with animals or something). You also get to see some of the sets and contraptions used in the show and ask questions. It did feel a little rushed as I think he wanted to keep the questions to a minimum. There wasn't much of a 'tour' really. You get see one of the tigers upclose and ask tiger questions. You'll also get to see one of the macaws fly around and see her up close. The highlight was to pet one of the tigers, the group stands around and tiger is brought to you. If you or your kids love animals, this is something to do if they have never been this close to a tiger before. The experience was short and sweet, but happy I did it anyway. Overall, I would say that this magic show was pretty awesome, and a great diversion in the evening. The add on, really depends how badly your kids want to pet a tiger. read more

If you have an opportunity to see Greg Frewin while you're visiting Niagara Falls, you should do it! He's a phenomenal magician! I don't care if it's real or fake, but the show itself is highly entertaining and well worth the money! My 5 star rating is the show alone. Greg Frewin has been performing magic for around 30 years! He's had acts in Vegas and all over the world. I think he still travels, but while he's not, he performs for his home country and province, Ontario, Canada. His tricks include disappearing acts, slicing the assistant, mind boggling card tricks, transforming matter, etc. Illusions are performed with cool popular music of the recent decades past. He incorporates his animals in the performance, his white Tigers, rabbit, pigeons, owl. He often asks the crowd for assistance, to demonstrate randomness that way the tricks are even more amazing! In between tricks, his assistants will dance for the audience while they prepare for the next trick. A dinner buffet often precedes the show. When you purchase the tickets on his website, there are different price points depending on the seating arrangements. Up to section 5 you are required to pay for the buffet. Section 5-7 doesn't have a buffet incorporated into price of the seats. Section 1 will be the best seats next to the stage. I purchased a Groupon for my family of 4 for section 5-6, and it was much cheaper that way, but it's first available, so if you come later, you sit closer to 6 than 5. Section 5 is the cutoff where i think Greg Frewin and his assistants faces become harder to see. I have no comment on the buffet because i day in section 5. After the buffet is over, the audience can still order from the menu, food and drinks including alcoholic. I can comment that the alcoholic drinks are highly diluted and I don't taste much alcohol! There is a 15 min intermission. During that time the gift shop is open to purchase memorabilia or VIP passes after the show to take pictures with his animals especially the Tigers. He does sign autographs after the show for the general audience for free. He's a highly entertaining magician. I wouldn't hesitate watching any of his shows! read more

On our family vacation to Niagara Falls we hit a day of rain mid stay, so my dad went looking for things to do and came back with tickets to Greg Frewin's magic show. My dad had such a grin on his face that no matter how we might have each felt about the idea of a magic show, we were all on board for anything that made my dad smile that big! The experience was great! It was exactly what we were looking for--something entertaining, light and fun. We opted not to eat there (as I had read some reviews suggesting that it wasn't worth the money) and just had drinks, which were priced on par with the rest of the area. We got the mid level seats, which actually ended up being the best in the house! If you go--definitely ask to sit on the 2nd level--you really can't get a better view! The show was great! It was a perfect blend of light comedy (lots of puns--right up my alley) and great magic! He did everything from illusions to close up card tricks where he had a video camera projecting his every move onto large drop down screens. Each time I would think, "Oh he must have..." he would then revel something that would crush my idea. It was fantastic! The only less than stellar part were the dancers, who seemed like they needed a couple of more hours of practice and sometimes seemed a little too sexy for the family atmosphere. Overall it was a great show with a great magician. It was entertaining and something the entire family, from kids to grandparents, would enjoy. 4 stars for the show. We went as a family of 5(2 adults and 3 teens). Greg did a great job with the show. He was an entertaining, polite, and a talented gentleman. Animals in the show seemed respected and the imagine dancers were beautiful and appropriately attired. We were all glad we went. The food is a 2.5 star. We all had the dinner with the show. It had the potential to be good but was mediocre at best. Also, they include a small non alcoholic beverage with the meal but no refills. Next time I would see the show but eat elsewhere. We had a level one booth. I think further back would have been better. These are suppose to be excellent seats but the small vip booths on the sides are situated so it is very difficult to see the show for one half of the table. Not worth the upgrade. read more

Warning: this might be a spoiler! My first magic show ever. Came here with my family and everyone enjoyed it. Even my little nephew (3 years old), did not cry through it. You know the magic shows on TV? The ones you stick those gigantic swords, people disappearing, things transforming, it is exactly like it. Greg would keep you wondering, how on earth did he do that ? The animals were properly trained, and they were all so cute. Especially his 14 year old dog that has been in the show for forever. Also, all the tigers worked so hard! Am I spoiling it ? Just expect animals! If you're an animal lover. What I thought was a bit weird were the girls dancing around. My nephew became grouchy during those parts. Forgot to add that there are snacks (popcorn & candy) and a great selection of drinks. We tried 3 different cocktails and they were all tasty! My brother had a bucket of beer for himself and my dad. I'm a big believer of magic but have never seen a show. We were looking for things to do and stumbled across a Groupon deal we thought too good to be true but reluctantly purchased the four tickets. We emailed the company and they were able to accommodate us. The show was amazing, full house, but we luckily got a booth - although every table has a perfect view. Good show especially if you like magic acts. When it comes to magic I'm always on awe. I can never get enough of it and Greg frewin is a class act. Very good performance and use of animals. The only mis play IMO are the girls trying to dance. Please hire a decent choreographer. The theater itself is ok but the seating is awkward. Rectangle tables forces the seats to face each other rather then the stage. There were some half circle booths facing the stage which wasn't too bad. Bar and snacks were good and were reasonably priced. Maybe I'm just used to getting ripped off at skydome and acc. All in all not a bad way to spend your evening. read more

The show was a 4.5 out of 5 for me, but food/service I ate was a 3.5 at best. Show: Amazing! Some tricks are familiar ones but they are utterly amazing and I can't figure it out. There is a mix of cards tricks, disappearing acts, and animals as well. We were on level 3 and I think that was probably one of the best spots. You buy tickets for the level and the seating is first come first serve, so I suggest coming about 40 minutes before the show starts. Service: Our server seemed to lack enthusiasm and kept over looking our table even though four of us were waving our arms. Plus there was an odd moment of them trying to upsell to bottled water. It was awkward to say the least. Food: I only ordered the Lemon Curd and there was a lot of curd but almost nothing to dip in it. My wife was dying to take in Greg Frewin's magic act, so we went all-in and got orchestra seating right against the stage and shelled out for the buffet before the show. My feelings are mixed about the experience, so the negatives first. The theater is a bit dated and could use an update and a fresh coat of paint. You're constantly being encouraged to pony up more cash for upgraded this or that -- pictures with a lion, meet and greet with Mr. Frewin, pricey alcoholic drinks (you do get one free coffee, tea or pop with your meal). Another turn off were the lengthy pre-recorded films about Mr. Frewin's tigers (cute but over long) and a dated sizzle reel featuring dead and/or forgotten celebrities introducing Mr. Frewin in an NBC broadcast that looks to date from the early '90s, again adding to the sense of things being dated and out of touch with modern sensibilities. All that said, I'm giving The Greg Frewin Theater four full, enthusiastic stars. Why? The actual magic show was SPECTACULAR. Now, I am not particularly a fan of magic in particular or live entertainment of this sort in general. I often find such shows cringe-inducing and over-priced. As I said up front, I did this because my wife wanted to. BUT. Frewin is a funny, confident and gifted magician, taking even old tricks like levitating a woman or cutting her in half and making you shake your head in amazement. As close as we were to the stage, I couldn't figure out how any of the tricks were performed, and the two live segments (interrupted by a welcome 15 minute intermission) whizzed by. Frewin's team of assistants/dancers and stagehands are young, attractive (the show is wholesomely sexy, not sexual) and right in step with Frewin's performance -- the only apparent misstep in the entire show was a momentary slip of a card during some close-up magic projected on a big screen. Oh, the screens are really blurry and could use an upgrade. But back to the positives -- Frewin talks about his love for animals, and the tigers, birds and dog we see in the show all seem to show him genuine affection and respect. I am leery of how animals are treated when used in performances like this, but Frewin speaks sincerely and convincingly about his love for his animals and how he makes sure they are taken care of, and it shows when you see them all on stage together. The animals look healthy, happy and like they are enjoying what they are doing. So, as I noted, The Greg Frewin Theater is not perfect, but despite its minor flaws the main reason it exists, as a venue for Frewin and his people to entertain visitors to Niagara Falls, it more than gets the job done. I am happy we spent the money we did for orchestra seats and the buffet, which was fresh and tasty with a good variety of entrees and salads, and a superb dessert selection. I had an amazing time! We were able to get a discount from our hotel which was awesome. The hotel had recommended to be there 30 to 20minutes before the show, because I guess not all of the seats are assigned. We got there a little bit before 7pm and they were ready for guests. When we got there, we were informed that they had a few seats open farther up and we could upgrade for only $5 each, so of course we upgraded! They even offered the seats right beside the stage but we chose the ones for the slightly further away and center stage! As we sat down, one of the waiters came and took our orders, and a pop was only $1.99 which is actually a really good price! The show was amazing! The dancers were great to keep you entertained as they set up the next act, so you were always entertained. The magic was insane and I can't figure out how he did it! He is funny, and loves selling his items! One cool thing is afterwards you can get a photo with a tiger and it will look like you are in the cage with them. The only downside to the show was that I found myself somewhat uncomfortable with the sexual exploration of the women, but really what do you expect from a middle aged magician... read more

I have not attended this theater but I feel I must inform everyone not to trust them. I ordered 4 show and dinner tix in January of 2020 for a show later on. The border closed due to the virus and the theater did also. I immediately requested a refund by email. ( At least 3 times) Never received a reply. Finally in late summer I received a call promising my refund by November 1 2020. Never received it. Sent 2 more emails and got a response that they had to stop refunds again. No date as to when I may receive mine. I believe they stole my money. I will be writing to them again today. Hoping for good news but I doubt it. read more

I went to see Greg Frewin with my fiance on January 28th. There are 2 options: Dinner and a show, or just the show. We chose to eat dinner there as well. The food was overall delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly - the chicken parm had good taste - the salads were good - the fruit salad was (according to my fiance) good - the dessert table had a plethora of options ranging from coconut pie, to chocolate pie, to apple pie. The pasta was poor, but everything else was so delicious it seems petty to even mention it. As far as the show goes, Greg does a fantastic job. He is funny, smart, and a very good illusionist. There were a variety of animals used in the routine: 3 tigers, a duck, and a bird. They all did excellent! Greg performed all of the tricks to perfection and engaged the audience quite a bit - twice calling audience members on stage and a couple of times talking to individual audience members in the crowd. He is the definition of a performer and he along with the food is why I am giving this show a 4 star rating! Now concerning the theater, Greg needs to make a change. This is not a natural theater style with rows of chairs all facing towards the stage. The theater is comprised of different levels of tables and they are all set vertically towards the stage. You, while in your chair and facing forward, are looking at the wall - not the stage. Therefore, during the show you have to turn your head to the left (if you are sitting on the right) and to the right (if you are sitting on the left). You can not sit straight ahead because of room constrictions (they smash the tables pretty close to each other) and because if you do the person behind you will simply be staring at your back. By the end of the night my neck was a bit sore from have to turn it to see the stage the entire time. NOTE: Including in the meal price, you are allowed 1 soda or coffee/tea. All others you have to pay for. My fiance and I ordered a total of 2 extra sodas, 2 fruity cocktails, and a mixed bar drink and the total for the drinks came to around $28. So it's not terrible priced. read more

Great magic with live tigers, doves and more - a pleasant surprise while here for three days. We couldn't ask for a better evening to spend in Niagara Falls. Greg offers a photo with a tiger at the end and signs autographs in the lobby and he engaged with the entire family. We have seen dozens and dozens of magic shows for over twenty years, this one is clearly in the top five as Greg brings a wide variety of magic, showmanship, and the big stage magic of Las Vegas. The staff is friendly and they enjoy being there - a big thing when we go to a show.. The buffet food is ok -- but recommend you order from the menu for better options. Parking is free as well. Magic is still alive... can't go wrong on this choice. read more

This was the best magic show I have ever seen. I absolutely loved the experience and his magic was flawless. My wife and I have excellent seats and were able to be right next to the stage. We even had the chance to get in a picture with his tiger at the end. So awesome! He has traveled the world doing his magic and his experience really shows how great he is. I have been to a few other magic shows and this one beats them all. I will absolutely be back next time I come to visit! read more

Had an amazing time. The dinner was excellent. The chicken was well seasoned and moist. The Short Ribs were fantastic. The sides and garnish were fresh and the beer was very cold. The magic show was stellar. By daughter was even chosen to go up on stage and assist. The magic tricks were fantastic. We very much enjoyed this experience and recommend it to all. read more
