He was super chill but also professional and knowledgeable, with clear and easy to understand pricing. We had a second call closer to the wedding where he gave us some really good advice on music selections - we're really glad we took his recommendation. In fact his guidance throughout on timeline and wedding best practices was super solid all around. We had a lot of kids and older family at the wedding and the first dance section was great to get the whole crowd going. But my wish was that as the night progressed we turned it UP and had an all out dance party- and he delivered. Everyone was telling me after they never dance like that anymore, how our wedding was the funnest they'd ever been to, and everyone's legs were sore from all the dancing. DO NOT USE!!! HE'S FLAKY!…read more Yesterday was the 33rd annual PQ Girls Softball opening day. I booked Miles for $350 to come and DJ our Opening Day when he normally charges I guess $150 per hour. I booked him for 4 hours. We have about 350 girls and about 250 families in our league. The girls were so excited yesterday to have a dance party on our field 5 that evening one of the girls planned to have her friends come out and celebrate her birthday. I talked to Miles on Thursday and Friday before our Opening Day. My last words Friday were don't worry about insurance (because he cancelled his insurance policy) and I will see you on Saturday. Saturday, 5:00pm rolls around, our Opening Ceremony is going to start at 5:30 and he is a no show. I called him multiple times and text him and got no response. Finally at 6:29pm I get a text back, NOT A CALL, stating, "Hello. You didn't call me to confirm. Sorry took another gig." Many texts went back and forth and in the end he stated, "No contract. No deposit No call back to confirm Gimme a break". He never asked or talked about a contract or deposit with me in all the conversations we had. BE VERY CAREFUL BOOKING HIM! He may have take a gig that pays more and will come back with a "NO CONTRACT, NO DEPOSIT" comment when he never mentioned it at the beginning. Way to leave 350 little girls in the dust with your unprofessionalism! I received several texts last night from Miles threatening me and telling me take down my post by today or things will get "ugly". I wonder how may other folks he has threatened into taking down yelp posts. BTW this is all over text messaging... still haven't received a call with an apology and at this point I wont take one!

He is super organized and has even the tiniest details thought out ahead of time, which made us feel so confident going into the big day. Our wedding itself was absolutely incredible. Preston kept everything running smoothly and made sure the timeline stayed on track without ever feeling rushed or forced. When it came to the reception, he kept the energy up, the dance floor packed, and the vibes so good all night long. He's also super flexible--here's just one example: the morning of the wedding, my dad asked if we could switch the father-daughter dance song to something different than we'd originally planned. I texted Preston and he instantly reassured me we could make it happen. My dad was so surprised and touched to hear the new song--it meant the world to us. We also changed around a few elements of the reception last-minute, and Preston rolled with it without missing a beat. He also provided a photobooth for our wedding, which our guests absolutely loved! It came with unlimited prints, a full table of fun real props (not just paper on sticks), and at the end, we received everything--gifs, photos, and prints--all neatly organized and separated. Such a fun bonus that made the night even more memorable. I can't recommend him highly enough for weddings or any event where you want the music and energy to shine. A quick note to other brides: one of the best things we did--and something I highly recommend--is adding a dedicated table for your vendors. It's such a small gesture, but it makes a huge impact. These incredible people (like Preston!) are on their feet for hours making sure your day goes perfectly, and giving them a seat and a real meal is a thoughtful way to say thank you. We got amazing feedback about it from our vendor team, and it truly helped everyone feel taken care of and supported.
