I would say the venue only comfortably holds about 100 guests though! You can book for up to 175 but it would be pretty tight! We did have one issue with a wedding card being opened and then returned to a new spot (most likely because it was a check and not cash) by someone working at the venue - but this was most likely not the 8th and main staff! This room is on the smaller side. You could have a small ceremony or a few round tables in it. Then there are 2 small hallways on either side of the vault room that lead to the back room which is bigger. The hallways are kind of annoying. They have the men's restroom in 1 hallway and then on the other side, is the women's. It was annoying because it wasn't well marked and it was easy to forget which side was which. The back patio is nice. It's a decently sized patio. It has fake put-put golf grass. I can't decide how I feel about that. Overall I wasn't overly impressed with the space. I believe the bride said it was $4k to rent it on a Saturday, but you could choose your own vendors. Since the location is in tiny little Grandview and not KC, I think that seems a tad steep.

I expected to load up on those for the evening, but I decided to try the famous Kansas City rubs I had heard so much about. BAM! I get it now! These ribs put every BBQ rib I have had before now to shame. My tastebuds now understand what ribs should taste like. It was a magical cross between perfection and awesome. One time it was the middle of summer and the A/C was struggling in a big way, but largely because the event spilled outside so the doors were constantly coming open. It was easily 90 degrees in here. The past time was in mid-January, and it still felt like 90. Let's just say the furnace works better than the A/C. It's pretty basic with a little bar setup on one end, space for tables and to mill about, and then a little raised area on the opposite end which would be good for addressing a crowd. Not the most memorable or trendy event space, but a good overall spot if you're out in that end of town.
