Great salesman, but everything after the fact was awful. Was told at signing that work would start…read more4-6 weeks out, and at 8 weeks they said it would be another 3+ months. I escalated until they finally said they could make it work. Work was okay, but not nearly as detail oriented as I'd expect, given the premium price associated with their bid. Simple things like columns way off center from poured concrete footers (one was hanging OFF the footer - I made them redo that one). A year later, we had some staining on a few of the deck boards. This was most likely from some unrelated painting we had done, and I reached out for a quote. The rep came and confirmed it was a simple job, 2-3 hours max for a single rep. More than 2 weeks later and I still haven't heard back from KBC. I called 3-4 times in a week requesting a call back, and never got anything until finally an email. Their "unofficial estimate" was $4,200 stating it would take 2 men 2 full days to replace the boards. Mind you, the boards are on the end, the job couldn't be simpler. Why the disconnect between their field man and office? My best guess is they're price gauging because they either don't want the work, or think the painters will cover the cost. Either way, super shady. I talked to 2 other decking companies out of curiosity, both were 75% cheaper than KBC's estimate, and one even said they would have "goodwilled" the labor to me, only charging for materials, because it was such a simple repair so close to the completion of a larger project. For the record I still never received a call, as requested, from Angela. I would stay away from Krueger Brothers because it seems once they have your initial deposit they stop caring about you, and no care is given to customer satisfaction or loyalty. Attached are the photos of the very lightly stained boards, 4 in total, that we were interested in replacing. $4200 and 32+ man hours for that LOL

Our experience with the Krueger brothers (Matthew and Michael) was absolutely horrible and I…read morestrongly urge anyone reading this to stay far away from them. They took over 11k from us in May of 2024 and haven't completed any work - and they won't return our money. We hired them to complete a project in May of 2024. They told us it would be complete late June or early July. After giving them the required deposit (over 11k dollars), communication was basically non existent. We had to reach out to them multiple times to get updates on our project and they continued to give us basically automated responses. Finally, at the end of the summer, Matthew Krueger personally called me and said we were on the schedule for the first weeks of October. Matthew personally assured me they had all the materials ready to go and the problem was they were behind on jobs because the weather had been delaying them all summer (the summer had perfect weather). The first few weeks of October came and went and we still heard nothing. We called, emailed, and texted relentlessly with no response. The front desk told us that Matthew and Michael were "in meetings" every time we called. After threatening to call law enforcement, Michael finally got on the phone and agreed to meet with us. In our meeting, Michael admitted that they didn't have the materials and never did, but couldn't "speak to what his brother had said". He claimed all their employees left them so they were behind. We asked multiple times to get out of the contract and Michael said we'd have to pay 20% of the entire contract to get out. We asked to see confirmation that the materials had even been ordered, and Michael showed us an email (claiming it was to a rep for the materials) that was sent ONE HOUR before we showed up for this meeting in late October. Michael assured us they could start the work on November 18 and agreed to amend the contract to say the work would be done by Nov 30, or they would return our money by December 15. Two weeks before they were scheduled to start on the 18, I emailed Michael to confirm they were showing up and he confirmed. A week before the 18, I emailed Michael to confirm they were showing up and explained we were going to demo our bathroom before they got there and didn't want to be without a bathroom if they weren't coming. He again confirmed they'd be there. A couple days before they were supposed to show up, Michael told us they actually still don't have the materials, won't have them until mid December at the earliest, and won't be able to do what they promised. We asked for our money to be returned and Michael said they would, but they wouldn't be returning our money until December (even though it was mid November and they knew and admitted they would never be able to do what they said they would). Michael never returned our money. We have emailed, called, and/or texted everyday for a week with no response. Michael and Matthew have both personally lied to us. Based on other reviews, it seems they are doing this to multiple people. We deeply regret ever getting involved with these people. After threatening legal action, Michael contacted us and claims our check "must have been lost in the mail". We still have not received any money.
