If I could give them 10 stars, I definitely would. Placing…read moremy Mom in a Retirement Community was a heart wrenching and very difficult decision. I want to say that making the choice to place Mom at The Remington Club was, in every possible way, made bearable and much easier with the guidance and help from the loving, compassionate, caring and hardworking staff. Not only is it a beautiful, clean and well-kept facility, you can see that the residents are very well taken care of and are very happy. I show up unannounced many times during the week and even on weekends and I walk in to Mom being loved on and she's kept clean, well-dressed and always beautiful. Most of all, I owe a special thank you to Marshall Spencer, Director of Transportation, who my words cannot begin to express all that he has meant to me and my family. Transportation services was a crucial deciding factor for us. If Mom wants to attend church services, or needs to go to her doctor's appts or just go on fun excursions, it's such a good feeling to be able to depend on Marshall to facilitate that for Mom. Whether it's a regularly scheduled trip or if she feels like getting out for a while, knowing we have someone like Marshall to deal with the driving services provides us peace of mind. Particularly as people age, they may deprive themselves of certain activities and enjoyments because they don't want to deal with nighttime driving, heavy traffic, unfamiliar directions, or the possibility the car breaking down. That's no way to live life - particularly in your golden years. He takes the hassle of driving off her hands. Please, if you need to send your loved one to a higher level of care try The Remington Club. You will not be disappointed. I owe them so much! It is also very affordable and the peace of mind is priceless!

ATTN: Carlos X Montaño, Jr., PsyD…read moreChief @ WINGS RECOVERY CENTER, CARLSBAD, CA: My experience at Wings Recovery Center -- Carlsbad, CA (Faraday Ave) I went into Wings Recovery expecting the "safe, professional program" Admissions promised me. What I got instead was a facility that treats clients like a revenue stream, not people. Staff conduct: Two front-desk staff -- Dani, and a coworker who wears blue scrubs "to look important" (her words, when I asked) -- raised their voices at me and told me to leave the facility. I then spent 3 hours outside in the heat arranging a Lyft and a last-minute hotel. While this was happening, I overheard them talking about me behind my back and scrolling their phones to shop online instead of attending to clients. Unlicensed staff, ignored medical needs: The CCTs supervising the housing unit are not licensed or certified. My documented conditions -- fibromyalgia, arthritis, severe insomnia, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, musculoskeletal issues -- along with my PCP's orders for Spravato care and knee injections, went completely unaddressed. I had no access to a dietitian despite my dietary restrictions and was essentially living on avocados, losing weight I didn't need to lose. Missing property, no HIPAA accountability: When I asked what would happen to my prescribed medications (prescribed by my own doctor, for use in my home state) since I wasn't allowed to take them with me, staff shrugged and told me they'd simply be destroyed. I left with multiple personal items missing -- two pairs of shoes, suitcase locks, toiletries, prescribed skin cream -- and was never given the property inventory I requested. Pressure tactics: After I fought for two days to be discharged, staff called my husband to try to talk me into staying. We didn't fall for it. The bottom line: Admissions promised reimbursement for my flights, hotels, and rideshares, plus restitution to my insurance (BCBS FEP). I'm still waiting. I have records of everything -- dates, costs, conversations. If you're considering treatment, look hard at a local IOP before you spend thousands of dollars and fly across the country for this. Do your research on Wings Recovery Carlsbad before you trust them with your care. #WingsRecovery #Carlsbad #PatientRights #MentalHealthAwareness #KnowBeforeYouGo #HIPPAA #HIPPAAVIOLATIONS #HIPAARIGHTS #CONSTITUTIONALRIGHTD A couple of practical notes: I left out the physical descriptions tied to the photos (tank top, etc.) -- for a public post, especially one identifying employees by name/appearance, that's the part most likely to trigger a defamation or harassment claim against you, not them, so it's the one place where restraint protects you rather than softening your story. If you do post the photos, consider whether your state requires consent to publish someone's image, since that varies. -SUSAN GORSKI Intake Date: July 15th 2026 Discharge By My Own Will Date: July 20th 2026. P.S. I look forward to getting reimbursed as PROMISED by anemployee in Admissions during our phone conversation on Thursday July 23rd 2026. I will be more than agreeable to send ANY AND ALL RECEIPTS of my Flights, Hotel Stays, Rideshares and more once I hear back from Wings Corporate Office, especially from WING'S CEO, Carlos X. Montaño.

One of my favorite responsibilities is running the library. Reading has always been one of my greatest passions, and caring for the library keeps my mind active while allowing me to share that love with others. The friendships I have made here are truly priceless. I enjoy sharing meals, attending activities, and spending time with people who have become like sisters to me. I also appreciate the many opportunities to stay healthy and active. My daily exercise classes, weekly balance class, Mahjong games, Texas Hold'em, Jeopardy, and Password sessions all keep both my body and mind engaged. I especially enjoy the wonderful outings and special events, like the Belmont Village Olympics, which create so many fun memories. To end each week, I look forward to Friday evening Shabbat services lead by my dear friend, Beryl Bosher, here at Belmont Village. Gathering with this special group of Jewish women and men provides comfort, friendship, and a meaningful way to begin the Sabbath together. Belmont Village has given me much more than a place to live. It has given me purpose, friendship, opportunities to stay healthy, and countless reasons to smile. At this stage of my life, those gifts are truly priceless, and I am deeply grateful to be part of such a caring and vibrant community. With gratitude, Carol T.

Deeply Disappointed with Belmont Village Sabre Springs…read more I'm very disappointed with the care and concern my mother received at Belmont Village Sabre Springs. She was often left waiting 30-40 minutes just to be taken to the dining room for meals -- a situation that happened frequently and caused her significant distress. Eventually, I had to purchase her an electric wheelchair just so she could get to meals on time. But the biggest disappointment came when I was informed -- without warning or any meaningful discussion -- that her monthly rate would jump from $5,950 to $6,370 and then suddenly to over $10,000 a month. I was told this was due to a "reassessment," which felt more like an excuse to justify a massive rate hike than a genuine evaluation of her needs. I attempted to speak with the Director, Tracy Knepple, about this unreasonable increase, but I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. I was treated with complete disregard and disrespect, despite being a concerned family member trying to advocate for my mother's care and well-being. As a result, I made the decision to move my mom to a new facility -- one where she is now thriving and no longer has to worry about inconsistent care or unexpected financial strain. I strongly urge anyone considering Belmont Village Sabre Springs to look very carefully at how they handle both care and communication. In our experience, they failed on both fronts.

Hot tubs always set on the right temp? Check. Movies? Art classes? Zumba? Water aerobics? Check. Check. Check. Check. Do you like holiday gatherings? Yep! Those too are included. So do as much, or as little interacting to your choosing. Randee (leasing) and Shanelle (activities director) and David (maintenance manager) are so welcoming and really take care of you. They work hard to make your new home a place you will want to stay. After all that said, we are on the young side of the 55+ age. We are realistic- and no place is absolutely perfect, but our little roomy casita is home; Not just a stop along the way. We looked for close to a year, almost bought a house twice, and explored ample beach communities, inland areas and desert towns. Casa Aldea is close to everything we wanted. And a 10-15 minute drive to LaJolla Cove ?? Sunset Cliffs, Mission Beach?? Sea World, Belmont Park, Fiesta Island?? Torrey Pines, Scripps Aquarium, The Gliderport? How about medical care? UCSD campus, offices and hospitals. One of the best places in San Diego ! It's hidden gem.

After moving in we quickly found out that the staff is what really makes this place special. They are loving, attentive, respectful, courteous, caring and fun.
