I'm here to tell you that if you live in the area, and you swim or have children who like to be outdoors in a pool, this is a way better way to get that experience than to have your own pool at home. The pool is split in 3 separate areas. 1 for swimming (25ft), 1 for adults (depth ~ 6 ft) and 1 general area for kids and adults to just be in the water. Outside the pool area there is a kiddo pool for those under 4 years old. Then there is a very nice water spray park with plenty of activities for those under 7 years old. Lastly, there are slides for those 14 and under when they can go all wet and slide down -- this is shaded under trees so it's cooler than the other areas. The park sells food, but people bring their own coolers with food and drinks (no alcohol). Bathrooms and change areas are cool and safe. People are really friendly, mostly teenagers acting as staff. Lifeguards are around in all sections. Children need to pass a swimming test to be in the other areas of the pool. If they do not know how to swim or thread in water, they get a yellow band and are confined to the recreation area. I've met plenty of people from the community. Everybody is friendly. People get the season pass and go there every time the weather is nice.

It was just about closing time and my husband and I were the only patrons left in the water. I put my arms around my husband and gave him a totally benign kiss when we were approached by a lifeguard who accused us of being sexually inappropriate. I immediately exited the pool and found a manager who wildly accused us of disorderly conduct. Furthermore if you have young children I advise against taking them here as although thong bikinis are against pool policy I see them on a regular basis.

The kitchen was helpful to store food and the space was large to make it our own. We opted to rent our own chairs and some other items to Convert the space but it was wonderful to have a blank canvas to work with. You do have a few restrictions but it was nothing we couldn't work with. Cleanup was easy, parking was ample and we loved being in the park for our butterfly theme.

Normally we pitch in tents on the ground but this year, everybody agreed to try something different. The lodge that we rented can occupy 60 people. We tried to bring most of our community members for this annual camping event, but the timing was not good for others and we ended up collecting 27 attendees. The place is huge, with big recreation area in the middle , small dining area with refrigerator and microwave oven ,has 3 rooms each full of bunk beds with private shower/ toilet. This is perfect for all kind of meetings you want to held. Price is unbelievably cheap ($500 for the whole weekend) except that an insurance needs to be purchased for using the lodge. So for smaller group, I won't advise the place, you need to be at least 40 heads to be worth of getting the place. There are basketball court, swimming pool and recreation hall outside the lodge that can be use as part of the deal . Although we were not able to use all of these as it was raining and freezing cold during the weekend of our stay. Ample parking space for your cars and beautiful location with line trees and cozy parks around it. By the way, Menlo Park Mall is walking distance .

My daughter started at Kiddie Academy of Colonia when she was only 5 1/2 months old, and I was so nervous about leaving her. From the very beginning, though, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and reassured me that she was in great hands. The professionalism of the entire team is outstanding. The atmosphere is warm, caring, and positive, and the building is always spotless, clean, and very secure. Knowing that my daughter is safe every day gives me so much peace of mind. The biggest confirmation that I made the right choice is seeing the smile on my daughter's face every morning when we arrive. Her eyes light up when she sees her teachers, and that means everything to me. Over the past month and a half, I've watched her grow so much. Her skills have developed tremendously, and it's clear that she's learning, thriving, and being genuinely cared for. I am so grateful for everyone at Kiddie Academy of Colonia. Thank you for creating such a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for my daughter. I couldn't have asked for a better place for her to begin her learning journey!

The teachers are caring, patient, and truly attentive to each child's needs. The environment is always clean, safe, and full of positive energy. I would especially like to thank Mr. Tariq, the owner, for his outstanding leadership. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a trustworthy and caring place.

I feel compelled to share a more candid perspective based on my wife Dana's recent experience as a…read moredirector at this school. Dana is a highly experienced, deeply principled professional who poured her heart into this role. She was consistently praised by families for her leadership and the genuine care she brought to the school community. Unfortunately, her time here was marked by persistent professional undermining from ownership. Over time, support from leadership--particularly from Rick--deteriorated to the point of complete silence, making it extremely difficult for her to carry out her responsibilities. This was not just discouraging; it was incredibly undermining and unsustainable. While many of the positive reviews may reflect genuine experiences, it's also important to consider that current staff and families can feel pressure to remain silent or offer only praise. My intent is not to disparage, but to offer a fuller picture of the internal culture--one that, in our experience, lacks transparency, professionalism, and respect for the very individuals who work tirelessly to support the children. I sincerely hope Rick and Rena reflects on the treatment of their leadership and take steps to foster a more respectful, accountable environment. Families deserve to know that the people entrusted with their children are also supported and valued. Good luck to you guys in your future at the schools you have- it is to my understanding that you will absolutely need it.
