But more than once they've come to the fishing lake instead of the recreation lake and bring with them a dozen screaming out of control kids. The first time I ran into them I got onto the fishing lake and all was quiet. They came later and all got in and proceeded to run right over where I was casting. One of them even bumped into me without any apology. The whole lake and they picked the one spot I was fishing in. Today there's 14 kids and adults out running amok and screaming across the lake. I'm not sure if the staff realizes that there's a whole lake dedicated to kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and NOT fishing. In the same park. One where you can scream as loud as you want and not bother fishermen. The fishing lake is supposed to be for people to enjoy fishing. If I see these guys on the water, I just turn around and go home or don't even bother fishing. Such a nuisance. Sorry for the one star review. The camp experience is probably great. But you guys are irritating a lot of people out here.

Special kudos to Moose, Heather, Allison and Ian. You guys rock!!!!

The space is compact and looks like a parkour gym with a little bit of this and a little bit of that tucked away in every corner (even a fairly full-looking weights area in the front of the building outside of the parkour area). The other students looked like they were very comfortable in the space, and the other students in my (Chinese pole) class were very nice, and we played around together after our class, which was awesome! The instructor did a great job moving the class along and bringing everything up/down in difficulty depending on the individual student. I loved trying out this new apparatus in such an encouraging and judgment-free place. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

I bought one of these 30 day challenges online I thought would help me achieve a backflip, but it ended up teaching me the wrong stuff. Then someone recommended Apex to help me because they have drop-in classes and one-on-one coaching. Within four months, I finally got results! Here are my takeaways for success: * Come in with a goal. Pick a trick (or several). It motivates you to keep coming and helps you gauge your progress. * Do a monthly membership for at least three months. It gives you access to all their classes, which leads me to the next point.... * Take different classes. They do a LOT more than parkour, and I've yet to take a parkour class. They do aerial, handstand classes, tumbling, trampoline, tricking, and more. Taking other courses rounds out your training and helps your brain put all the pieces together. Most importantly, you get access to different coaches. I started with tricking, then tried a tumbling class with Anthony and everything came together. He's an incredible teacher who's great at demonstrating. But they all have unique teaching styles. Rob gives simple, clear instructions that work up to more complex tricks--with big results; Natatia has a great warmup and is vigilant to avoid injuries; and Bethel can spot mistakes others miss. It's important to find what works for you and every instructor is unique. * Consider private lessons. Ryan is a phenomenal coach, one of the absolute best I've ever met. I made more progress in one hour with him than months on my own. He's the perfect combination of supportive and challenging. HIGHLY recommend talking to him. * ASK QUESTIONS. Some reviews suggest people are unapproachable here. They aren't. They assume you are working on something unless you state otherwise. You'll understand why as soon as you land a trick and stimagine if everyone was interfering with your practice. Sometime you just need to do the work uninterrupted. * Finally, be gentle with yourself and your expectations. This is a lifestyle and progress moves at the pace your fingernails grow. Don't rush what's uncomfortable. It helps if you have other stuff to work on so your mind-body connection can rest. That's where learning happens.... Good luck to you and enjoy. This place will truly change your life.

As a student of their certificate program her skills have grown by leaps and bounds over the last two years. The program is fun but also serious about giving students the skills to be successful. She has studied from some of the same books that are assigned to college acting students. Teachers know their stuff and are good at creating an environment that is safe and supportive but also pushes students to stretch into their capabilities. The school has also been amazing at helping us find opportunities and avoid pitfalls as she's become active in the local film community. It's great that they have different options to meet different needs. For my daughter the certificate program has been ideal, and has allowed her to also attend the workshops that are a good fit for someone who wants to work on skills without committing to more of a "career" type track. They also have camps, which we can't speak to since we haven't done one, and they have a group taking a trip to LA soon. She is passionate about acting and would like to pursue this as a career path. Her training at CSA has truly given her the acting skills and professionalism that have helped her to already have a solid resume and an excellent start on her journey as a professional actor.

He has grown tremendously as a young actor through Colorado School of Acting - in both confidence and skill. The leadership at the school is especially supportive and well connected. Whenever we have questions, we trust the advice given to us at CSA. We have been given many opportunities and have met lots of local filmmakers and actors. The school offers showcases as well in which industry professionals from Los Angeles come to see the children perform. If you or your child are serious about becoming an on-screen actor and learning the ropes from people who really understand the industry, there is no where else in town to be!

The camps have been organized, safe, and my kids have enjoyed them. I saw one review mentions an issue with the adult:student ratio, but our experience has been that there are always 2 adults (teacher and assistant) with no more than 12 students K-5. They've attended more than 15 camps and all the teachers and assistants have been good. One time, summer camp was canceled due to low enrollment, but it was not a surprise. Bronwyn from sales reached out in advance to let me know it was possible, and when it was canceled I received a full refund. Obviously, it's not financially sustainable for them to host a camp with 2 adults and 3 kids, so I understood and appreciated their transparency. Right now, Colorado has a "stay at home" executive order, and all schools are closed so I'm working full-time from home with a 1st grader and a 2nd grader. Mad Science to the rescue! They are offering 2 virtual classes each day. The price is affordable, and since I registered in advance they delivered the materials to my doorstep. I also misunderstood and thought they'd provide all printouts, which I needed since our printer ink won't arrive until later this week. Samy (the owner) dropped those off, as well. The classes are really engaging, and it allows me 2+ hours each day to get focused work done. Bottom line is Mad Science Colorado has great teachers, great camps, great classes, and great customer service.

Although the first day can be a bit of a drag as it is audition day and according to my daughter they sat around all day and watched auditions, it did not take her long (the next day) to already start talking about next year and if she could come back again! The staff was great - friendly and kind to kids and parents alike. The staff is also professional actors, and Cat who directed my daughters performance was amazing. My daughter is very quiet and gets shy on stage, usually showing now emotions or smiles. This time for all three productions she smiled away! It was obvious she was more comfortable on stage and had gained some confidence.
