The opportunities for children to learn through exploration, outdoor experiences, and have meaningful connections with nature, create a rich and engaging educational environment that is truly unique. After spending this past year amongst this community, it became apparent that we absolutely made the right decision for our daughter. The unwavering support, love, and kindness shown by the learning coaches and staff is something I imagine would be hard to find elsewhere. Every member of the community is deeply invested in the well-being and success of each child. They meet students where they are, recognizing and celebrating their individual strengths while providing thoughtful guidance and encouragement in areas where they need support. They also work continuously to foster relationships among the community (cross classroom learning, "Friendship Fridays", etc.); to help each child grow not only as learners, but also as compassionate and capable individuals. Our daughter has absolutely thrived at FCS this past year, both academically and socially. Her confidence, resilience and curiosity has flourished and that was in no small part to her being surrounded by people who truly care about her growth and happiness. My husband and I were looking for a nature-based preschool for our son in Central Mass. A friend recommended Fitz and we fell in love with the program. The school has before care, after care, summer camp and holiday programs. It's our one-stop support system since we came from out of state. The property backs up to a nature reserve, and the kids spend hours outside learning and playing. The class ratios are small, and the different age levels interact with one another. My son loves having an older reading buddy and playing with older and younger kids. I love that my child is getting fresh air, sunshine, and learning through play. One of my favorite parts of the school is the support we got as parents. The owner of the school is an experienced child education consultant. She regularly hosts parenting classes and community events. My child is strong willed and stubborn, and the school taught me how to work with his personality so that everyone in our family is happy and harmonious. One of the core values of Fitz is preserving childhood. In this day and age of stress and sensory overload, I'm so glad there's a place my child can go where he gets to learn and just be a kid. Developing curiosity, relationships, and critical thinking are some of the positive traits we've watched our child develop at Fitz. The only "negative" I can think of is that once you experience this education model it's hard to go back. Once we learned that most of the public schools have 15 minutes outside per day, we re-enrolled for kindergarten. The school currently runs to grade 5. I'm so glad we found it.

I had several issues with this establishment. Overall, the administration was horrible to deal…read morewith. Three separate times they called to say my son had a fever and I would pick him up and take him to the doctor and the doctor would tell me he didn't have a fever. When I brought my concerns to the school I was dismissed saying they have a state of the art thermometer and that it was accurate. Another time we picked him up and brought him home and changed him and found three ticks on him, one of which was attached to his foot. Again, I informed the school and they told me that they haven't had a tick on a child in years and that they treat the play area regularly. Why try to justify or defend yourself in this situation? He was at daycare all day and we came straight home and found the ticks. Where else could they have come from? All a parent wants to hear is that you understand the concern and you will address it. This place is more concerned with gaslighting you to protect themselves than actually taking concerns regarding the safety of children in their care seriously. Their illness policy makes absolutely no sense. My son was not allowed to come to school because he had an ear infection which is not contagious yet when I called to tell them he had pinkeye, they said he was fine to come in as long as he didn't rub his eye. He had just turned two at the time and there's no way a barely two year old isn't going to rub his eye. I was disgusted at the thought of children being allowed in a classroom together with something highly contagious like pinkeye. Also, my son was at the age to transition from day care to preschool and I reached out several times about the process for moving to preschool and for more information about the program. No one responded to my inquiries via email and I never saw administration there after 4pm when I came for pick up. One day while I was at work, out of the blue, I received a message via the school's app, which they typically used for communicating quick information like event reminders, saying that because my 2 year old son doesn't make eye contact and can't sit still during activities, they would not allow him to move to preschool or stay in his current day care program at Skribbles and told me his last day would be August 25th giving me little notice before he would be unenrolled leaving me scrambling to find a new childcare facility. This should have been an in person conversation, not an emotionally disruptive instant message in the middle of my work day. I also had an issue with a teacher who felt it was appropriate to make a comment about my son, who is autistic, saying: "It's too bad you didn't name him Dennis so we could call him Dennis the Menace." If you're not trained or equipped to support a child with special needs then maybe you should have a serious conversation about your concerns with the parents. I consistently communicated with the school about his developmental delays and how to best support him. Every day I would pick him up and his teachers would tell me he had a great day and how impressed they were with his progress. No concerns were ever expressed to me about their ability to handle my sons needs. There's so much more I could say about the terrible experience my family had with this place. At a certain point I just stopped bringing any concerns to the administration because I was constantly gaslit and it was clear they didn't want to take ownership of anything. We've found a much better environment elsewhere and now my son actually gets excited to go to school instead of crying every drop off like he did with Skribbles. After starting at his new school, I've meet a number of people who had less than pleasant things to say about Skribbles. This establishment needs to learn some empathy and compassion and needs a serious lesson is communication.

That flexibility and care really stood out to us. Now that Kai is attending, we can truly see the difference eBridge is making. He's become so much more independent, confident, and socially engaged -- and he absolutely adores his teachers and classmates. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and seem to intuitively understand what each child needs to thrive. We also love how they involve us as parents, offering guidance and resources to help us bring Montessori principles into our home as well. The teachers and staff are warm and very caring. The school treats staff well, and so they stay on for years. My son still sees a teacher he had as an infant on a regular basis. The staff and program focus on what's best for the kids, and ask for a level of engagement from parents that may be greater than a regular daycare or preschool. Nothing is mandatory, but it does encourage a level of interaction that has truly bred a nice community. I'm so happy we found eBridge and can be a part of this special place.

While we were simply picking up a net to prepare for our time slot--without even entering the room yet--the Pilates instructor shouted at us, claiming she had the room reserved until 12:30 PM. Actually her class was done and she already packed to leave the front door. The room was completely empty. As long-term members, we were not interfering with her class or disobeying any regulations. Being yelled at in public for no reason was humiliating and unprofessional. This level of disrespect is not what I expect from YMCA staff, and it truly ruined our day. I hope management addresses this behavior, as instructors should maintain a basic level of courtesy toward members."

Nevertheless, the staff doesn't seem to understand the meaning of LAP SWIM. They allow people to linger and stand around in the lanes while people wait to swim.
