The teachers are pretty decent, and have been relatively willing to work with my wife and I about a number of specificities we had around potential allergens and religious requirements. We're not a big fan of the sleeping area sitting in direct sunlight, and right next to the play area and loud doors. It means naps are even worse at Mountainside than home, but compromise is key. They also have clear ideas as to when children should be doing what (ie - My kid's the only one with a sleep sack) but once again, compromise. It's hard to rate a place, because they do everything different than I would. They're competent, and five stars would be me taking care of the kid, and of course it's not reasonable to expect Mountainside to do everything as I would. It's just hard to nail down a rating.

We found the school to be very bright, lively and clean. There is a big gymnasium / open play room that the children get to play in during the day and when they can't go out to the beautiful playground. My son learned how to play and socially interact with the other children, as well as age appropriate autonomy and self-help skills. He was happy to go to school every morning and during vacations would ask "when do I get to go back to school". We are very pleased with our decision. The teachers provided a weekly newsletter and video of what the children learned and it was a peek into their daily school activities and the fun that he had at school. I would highly recommend St. Paul's WNS to anyone who is looking for a preschool that offers a family like feel and has warm and caring teachers and staff.

Our child has grown in confidence and learned to make new friends and is completely comfortable with them. The teachers are warm and loving, and our child always hugs them goodbye. The school encourages children to explore, take risks while staying safe, and solve problems to learn together. The school is thoughtful about activities and grouping children of different ages together. Our own child has benefited from friendships with children who are older and younger. While Kesher includes teaching about Jewish holidays and some Hebrew words, the school is welcoming toward people of all backgrounds and traditions. Above all, we love how Kesher promotes the development of relationships to build community; the connection between home and school is recognized and valued. Not only have we observed children help one another, but families communicate and come together to recognize the hard work and loving care that the teachers provide to their children. I did not want to write this review, in fact 4 months ago I contacted Primrose corporate to provide…read morethis feedback and all they did was forward it to the center with zero intention of actually helping them. They were was nice and responsive when we were first signing up. We could not see the place due to Covid, which was not a huge deal. However, as soon as we signed up and they had my deposit, it seemed as though every question I had annoyed them. Once we started, it got worse. While they were always very responsive, I felt like I was talked to like a moron. I do have a traumatic brain injury and I don't remember things as well as others but the way they spoke to me was not acceptable. I became afraid of asking questions, something that no parent should ever be. Certainly not the kindness that Primrose preaches for its students. A few weeks in, I was ready to cut my losses and run. However, my daughter was doing OK and we decided to stick out the year. I do want to point out that safety and Covid protocol was AWESOME. The teachers were also great but the turnover was insane. While I understand some turnover my daughter had 5-6 different assistant teachers in her 9 months there. I could not even tell you how many teachers she had since we were not always kept up to date on who the teacher was/when teachers left etc. While we were always required to (and did) follow the rules it seems as though the center itself didn't need to follow their own rules and keep us up to date on changes to teachers. This year my daughter is constantly afraid when new teachers come in her new school's classroom, she seems to literally traumatized by the revolving door of teachers from last year. In the time we were there I received zero calls about my daughter having a behavior or sickness issue, we are not a problematic family. However, I never received her evaluations on time and I had to wait months and escalate before I got them. One evaluation they sent her home with some other kid's report and I sent it back and asked for ours, which I got 3 months later. To top it all off, you are not allowed to speak to teachers or other parents. You can't have their contact info (even with permission) and the app they use goes right to the main office and teachers aren't allowed to respond. It wasn't until they realized that we were going to leave as soon as the school year was over that they started being nice again. But honestly, I could not do another year at the school as a parent even though the Private K program was perfect for us. I know this school is still pretty new to the area and I think eventually the way parents (and my guess is teachers given the turnover) are treated is going to catch up with it. It's a shame because the education and program that Primrose has is awesome.

There was a snow day recently and she cried because she was so sad she wouldn't see her friends and teachers! The staff are all simply delightful, and they are constantly making improvements to the facility. I actually toured the school when the old director was there and found it way too overcrowded and cluttered. The new director and teachers are fantastic! It feels like the school in Daniel Tiger's neighborhood We could not be happier with our decision to send our daughter here.

People can be really lovely and will let you out and it's certainly easier in the summer months to do the school run. Enough said. Moving on... We moved our 18 month-old here after leaving Knowledge Beginnings in Maynard after they lost him one day on the playground. He then went to another daycare for a transition period but that was shutdown due to a (very expensive) typhoid outbreak. So my son enrolled in NGCC after being at a series of schools with compliance violations from losing kids to unvaccinated staff. As an obsessive researcher of all things, I'm pleased to note that NGCC's state compliance records are gorgeous, suitable for framing. We enrolled our LO in NGCC blindly after a recommendation from another parent who left KinderCare and enrolled their LO at NGCC with great results. We loved the data and information that NGCC shared with us about development and preparation for Kindergarten. (As a mildly obsessive PhD, I love all the data and learning opportunities!) It made us feel confident that we were making a good choice for LO and that he would thrive there. I can say that after about a month at NGCC, LO loves it. I love that it's like a proper school setting with a professional front desk, excellent security, it's set back from the road, leadership is accessible, and staff seem content and loyalty is strong. The cost of care is very reasonable and I feel like I should be paying more for the services we receive as part of tuition! The facilities are wonderful, too. I feel great arriving at 4.55 or 5.00 on the dot to find a parking lot and lobby full of other working parents which was utterly absent from the KinderCare and the transitional school. There's an unspoken camaraderie among working parents which is reassuring. They give him lunch every day which has helped us expand his palate and nutritional options and also given us back some time in the evening as a family. Overall, he's sleeping better, no more mysterious bumps and bruises, if he gets a bump, someone calls me immediately, and he's just overall a happier little guy. They're so hands-on and very in-tune with child development. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NGCC to anyone and it's not surprising there's a high demand for placement there!

It was either me or my daughter that this school did…read morenot like, I took my daughter because i wanted her to have some social interactions with kids her age seeing that every person in our house was above 16. Before we started i was asked what i hoped to gain told them my child was potty training i would love for it if they continued; then i noticed on her reports she had more wet diapers than potty tries. I inquired about this they said i was layering too much! reduce the layers and now she only wore sweatpants still the same, they said the pull up i provided were not the right ones and i need to use the ones that they used. My husband got the ones that they wanted but still the wet diapers were more. when i inquired how frequent she was put on the potty i get a call telling me that my daughter is acting different crying all day and they have kids to attend too since she is not the only one. My baby was 26 months and could not be comforted when she was in distress as if they are providing me free services or they do not know the number of kids in the class. In the morning when i went to drop her off the teacher at the door completely ignored us another teacher had to come to great us. if possible i would give them 0 stars. When i went to pick my child's belonging they didn't even bother to inquiry how she was doing. Just passing by the school gives her truama so much so that she know our entire route to home she will call out the ice cream place her doctor's office mere shopping but pretend when we get to that school

Kristen, along with Gretchen the other teacher and Lynne, the school director, have created the most magical environment for young children to grow, learn, and play in. Our oldest child started as soon as he was old enough at 2.9 and our youngest will be starting next month. But our kids are not the only ones who have benefitted from this rare gem of a school ... we have found a community of incredible parents who have become both friends and a much needed support network during this most challenging phase of parenting. We feel so lucky to have found the PNS community!

They have planted and harvested vegetables, tapped a maple tree and made syrup, and helped cook an entire Thanksgiving feast. These are just a few of the unique and special experiences that children have every year. My two sons have both gained tremendous problem solving and communication skills since starting at this school. Both of my boys have loved going to school here and feel proud of the work they've done! I believe that the early childhood years are formative for future education and development and we are so grateful we found PNS!
