Wow. This place is amazing! I took my little guy here for the first time today. He is a poodle Pom and he has issues with matting and looks scraggly most of the time. Not today!! I hardly recognized him when I went to pick him up. He looked like a new dog. The haircut was so perfect. I never knew he could look or smell so good. He knew he looked good too. I'd highly recommend the Gold Clipper Pet Resort. They've groomed my boxer since I got him over eight years ago. He gets excited the minute we pull in the parking lot! I recently boarded him there for eight days. He didn't want to eat after the second day. Kris followed up with me and then went the extra mile to warm up and add chicken to his dry food to tempt his appetite. Worked like a charm and he loved it! OMG. We finally found a good, PROFESSIONAL groomer! We have a Bichon Frise and it seems like everywhere we took him they could never give us what we asked for with the style we wanted. The staff here were SUPER kind to us and to our boy. The reception area was clean and nicely decorated. The hours here are much more flexible than any groomer we have been to too! When our old groomer went out of business, we decided to try the Golden Clipper because they worked with the shelters. We've been taking three of our six dogs there for a few years. They did an okay job. They had a clipper card where we get a free grooming after 10 visits. Of course we kept forgetting our card, bring the wrong one, etc. A couple of times we would have to start a new card with the understanding that we could combine them. About six months ago we noticed a big cut under our one dogs belly after had been at Golden Clipper a couple of days before. I called asking if something had happened. They called back to say they watched a video of the grooming and there was not incident but it was our fault for wanting him cut so short and that he had mats. I made sure he had NO mats before we brought him in but decided not to make a fuss because we were close to having a free groom. A couple of days ago my husband picked up one of our other dogs after being groomed. Once again, okay job, but nothing to get excited about. We were not able to find this dogs cards but had two cards from our other dog who passed away in April. Both cards were more than half way punched. The girl just took the cards and said "Nope, they are non transferable" and tossed them in the garbage and proceeded to charge us. Not even any sympathy like "Sorry you lost your dog"!!!! My husband was dumbfounded and just paid. I contacted them since and they pretty much said the same thing only finally said sorry for the passing (since I complained) but not sorry that we could not use the punches. NEVER using them again! Horrible customer service and only care about making money!!!! I now also believe that they were the ones who cut my dog. Save your money and beloved pet and go elsewhere! read more

I would rate it lower if I could. They might clip dogs well but the boarding is a disaster. The "Pet Vacation" is a trip to a metal kennel. My dog and my wallet had a terrible experience. Seek other options to board your pet. read more

This place is by far the best groomer in the area in my opinion! My dog has been going here for close to six years and he always gets excited to go! The staff is absolutely amazing and you can really see their love for animals and their jobs.
