My kind of comics through and through. Yards of long boxes, fair prices, and cool finds. I got 2 variants from my list barely above cover price, including bags and boards. I always find something for a friend and today was no different. Robocop POP at below eBay prices in mint condition. Even had two to choose from, by coincidence. Seems like a different person behind the counter every time but I always end up hanging around for conversations that I could stay all day for. Nice people here.

But what I enjoyed, and where I found something cool, was in the long boxes under the back issues that had the new releases, chronological by week, for the last 16 months or so. Each box was labeled by the calendar date. I grabbed a #1 from Oct '24 & a missed subscription indie from Feb '24. I passed on but also found a missed variant from last week that my LCS didn't pull for me. Down side was the dude at the counter sat there and had a casual conversation with a customer while I stood there waiting to check out for a good 3 solid minutes before someone else showed up and rang me up where the guy was seated. I WAS greeted when I arrived and found some decent options, but I also felt like I wasn't necessarily noticed.

They told me they had no idea about this order and blamed it on the Shopify app which is weird because I ordered it directly from their website which listed as available and in stock. As a former manager I find this work ethic to be deplorable and I will never do business with this company again, they don't even know what they have in stock, but they take your money anyway. Drawers are push to open, it took me forever to figure out but it's a clever mechanic! And of course, what comic store would be complete without a MTG section? They've got benches and card mats in the back :) so get your Black Lotus on. There's something here for everyone and if you're having trouble the staff will gladly assist! A bit too cool for downtown Blue Ridge, honestly, but I'm really glad it's here. Hopefully it becomes a permanent fixture to the area as the town expands and generates more tourism, it would suck to see a place as cool as this go out of business because of a lack of traffic, which I'm afraid of!
