With three locations in the city, The Good Neighbour serves some of the best espresso-based drinks, savoury treats and tempting baked goods (including many gluten-free and vegan options). They also sell their own line of beans so you can make your own espresso or drip coffee at home. The Annette Street location is one of my favourite places to visit in the city with its charming interior decor and large side patio. With Plexiglas shields installed and social distancing measures in place, they're ready to serve up your favourite beverages every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (check their Instagram for changes in hours). The latte art will surely bring a smile to your face, too. I've tried a lot of coffee shops in the city and consider myself a coffee connoisseur -- The Good Neighbour is, hands down, one of the best!

Super sweet barista who knows how to make latte art! I also loved their indoor decor but sadly couldn't sit in! This is a must visit coffee shop if you're in the area! :)

A 15-minute walk from my house, The Good Neighbour is definitely one of my favourite coffee shops close to home. For an independent artisanal coffee shop, it's extremely cost-effective, high-quality and most importantly delicious. I always order a medium or large house brew with steamed milk and there's no crazy added charges. Not to mention, they're extremely accommodating with dairy and sugar alternatives. They also have a selection of treats, some of which are vegan and GF from time to time. They also have a delicious and health-conscious menu if you want to have lunch with a friend. As a self-employed person, this is also a great and vibrant space to get some work done. It's the perfect amount of quiet with table space and wifi to work remotely. The staff are super sweet and helpful as well -- I highly recommend this spot!

This is a cute spot thats far from the trendy downtown stretches of Toronto. I would say this might be one of two Junction spots that can pull a good espresso shot. The spot is a cozy shop that has a lot of old feel and industrial aesthetics. There is a decent amount of chairs but expect to be sharing as it's shared tables or large sofa seating. When I was there, it was really busy. Sure there is a lot of take out orders but most people are just relaxing with a cup and book. There is a number of people with a laptop but they're mostly aware that they shouldnt be hogging up that much space. The barista here was friendly and pretty speedy to explain the different drinks and make your drink. I would say that their flat white is decent but if you like something unique their rose latte was a different twist. Rose latte - this was pretty with it's dusting of a vibrant pink crushed petals on top of the latte. It is very milky so if you're looking for a caffeine hit, this is not the drink for you. it definitely is floral with the use of rose syrup and it borders on the bouquet in your face. I didnt mind it but I'll probably stick to the regular flat whites going forward. 3.5/5 Flat White - a nice flat white where it was a good balance of milk to espresso. It is bordering on the more acidic and tangy but not overly strong where you feel its sour or undrinkable. I would say that this is definitely one of the best two drinks in the Junction for coffee (Alcove is the other one but they're closed on Sundays) 4/5 Overall, a really nice cozy spot for those who don't mind to walk to a neighbourhood spot off the main street (Dundas) in the Junction. YOu could easily spend a few hours here chilling in a good spot.

This is a nice coffee shop. The price are average. The place is spacious. Their coffee and pastries are good qualities. Staff are nice and other customers are nice. They have friendly atmosphere.

This place actually surprised me with the setup and the quality of drinks here. I have never ventured out in this part of town so didn't know what to expect when I was walking here. They are priced very well and all the posted prices are inclusive of taxes. The setup is modern yet cozy (the bar area reminded me of Dark Horse) The Barista is quite friendly and the cups are kept warm the way the it should be. I asked for Cappuccino with an sweetener no problems there. The espresso shot had slightly burnt taste but it mellowed out. Decent Latte art over all 3.5 Stars for the Cappuccino. Surely recommended if you are in this area. P.S. They didn't have the AC and the interior was quite hot on a nice sunny day.

I love The Good Neighbour Espresso Bar the minute I stepped inside!! Where should I sit?? By the big floor to ceiling window?? Or at the Communal table logging on to Yelp? Or at the individual tables enjoying my privacy? or better yet those comfy armchairs? Decisions! Decisions! I used my Indie Coffee Passport for my Americano which was nicely made with a good kick. Barista was cheerful and friendly. I would definitely come back to The Good Neighbour Espresso Bar next time when I am in the area. Every neighbourhood should have a espresso bar just like The Good Neighbour!

I really enjoyed how hip and rustic this place is. Great place to sit and chat while enjoying a good cup of coffee. There's patio seating so you can enjoy your cup with beautiful weather and company. Tried this coffee donut.... Wowza. So good!!!!

The Good Neighbour is an independent gourmet cafe that was established and is being run by a husband and wife team. The place get top marks because it accomplishes what it set out to do: Offer great coffee, provide a comfortable and relaxed neighborhood atmosphere that's like a second home, and plus contribute to the vibrancy of the neighborhood itself. Let's start with the coffee. Every cup is prepared with care--using proper beans and equipment--by expert, unpretentious staff. The beans change based on seasons, so there's nuances to the flavor. It's just simply a good, proper cup of coffee. The cafe itself was a labor of love for the owners. They painstakingly restored the building which recently housed a sketchy corner store. Layers of drywall, do-it-yourself renovation additions were removed to expose brick walls and wooden floors. Almost every piece of furniture, fixture and art was sourced from various local artisans in the Junction neighborhood where the cafe is located - Giant wire spool from the local Hydro company turned into a coffee table; Wood from the lanes of a local bowling alley turned into the counter; Light fixture created by the local electrical guy. The fireplace is a big hit during the colder months. The pastry is tasty. They found a former Parisian pastry chef who moved to Toronto to supply the daily treats. Fresh paninis are in the plans, but not available yet. Finally, here's my favourite feature of the cafe - the front stoop. There are these three steps that lead you up to the cafe that are as wide as the storefront. I love to get my coffee, sit on the stoop and just watch the folks stroll up and down Annette Street. Torontonians love their outdoor patios, but I gotta tell you that I would take a stoop to sit on any summer day. Make sure you bring cash as they don't (yet?) take debit or credit. Overall, the cafe is worth the visit if you like the Junction neighborhood, want an awesome cup of coffee in a beautifully relaxed place without the too familiar hipster attitude.

This is the best americano I have ever had. Ever. The picture says it all. 2 americanos turned out to 6$ after tax and the size is perfect. They have great wifi as well. Will definitely be returning!

The staff here are always super friendly and I'll often see them chatting with regulars. The drink I get most often here is the medium coffee with comes with a huge mug. The best way to start a day. They serve a full range of drinks and I've come to really like their drip coffee, their cappuccinos and their lattes. I've been disappointed by their americanos however and the almond milk latte they serve was too sweet for my tastes. My friends like the almond milk latte on the other hand. They have a big selection of croissants, muffins and pastries which go perfect with a nice black coffee and the two can be enjoyed in a variety of different settings at The Good Neighbour (TGN). The cafe has some bar seats facing Annette Street that look out through the huge front windows, a large common table with many stools all around it, a set of four leather chairs around a small wooden table next to a fireplace, and lastly a set of standard chairs and squats tables lining the middle of the seating area. A new addition to TGN this summer was their summer patio which despite being on a awkward slope, is enjoyable with a nice choice for the tables and chairs. The patio also has generous number of umbrellas to block the sun which shines down on the patio for the morning and afternoon hours.

    Mocha latte

A cozy rustic cafe in a quaint neighborhood. The barista working there was kind and suggested drinks and made me a delicious mocha latte. The cafe had soft jazzy blue music playing in the background which was relaxing and had a great feel for a lazy Sunday evening visit.

The Good Neighbor - Toronto. Cool coffee shop. Wish they had less chocolatey options of pastries. They didn't have lactose free milk. Coffee was ok.

    Amazing cappuccino and blueberry muffin.
