This place is very close to my office and one of their perks is that they open up at 7:30am everyday. During summers, they have their patio open other times, there are a couple of tables inside, if you want to dine in or work from here. The staff are very fringe and helpful. I ordered a "Pumpkin Spice Latte" and "Pistachio Croissant". The pastries are fresh and they get refilled every morning. read more

Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment was not that good. I base my experience on how I was rudely rushed to order and the coffee itself. The shop was relatively empty at the time. Latte 3 of 5 Tasted only the milk, meaning the espresso was very weak and I couldn't tell it was there. For me blending the milk and espresso to compliment both is necessary for enjoyment. When I can't taste the main element then it's unpleasant. It wasn't the worst drink I have had so I will stop at 3 stars. The interior is nice and I'm sure there are some who do enjoy these drinks. The experience while ordering does take away another star however. read more

Dineen Coffee is one of my go-to spots in Toronto! The vibe inside is cozy and stylish, with plenty of seating if you want to hang out or get some work done, however it does get pretty busy most days. Even when it's busy, the staff is super friendly and efficient. The coffee is always amazing, the espresso is smooth. Also, their pastries? So good. Definitely a great place to stop by if you're in the area and need a solid coffee or a chill spot to relax! read more

Whenever I pass Dineen it has a ton of people outside with a completely packed interior, and this time wasn't short of that. Let me get this straight, the interior is just stunning. Chic, instagrammable, majestic. Absolutely cafe vibes for sure. The coffee, not so much. I got a cappuccino and it just tasted like milk. Service was pretty rude, which I totally get for a busy day, but they were annoyed that I took 0.5 seconds to choose what I wanted. I also got a lemon raspberry muffin which was actually really good. Tasted like a lemon drizzle cake with raspberry pieces. Super yum. However I don't think I'll be coming back. Way too busy for me, the coffee is sub standard and I don't understand why they are keeping old school hip hop blasting from the speakers. I love Sean da Paul, but not in a cafe. read more

Great coffee shop to get some work done! Located in downtown, this is a pretty convenient stop with seating and free wi-fi for you to study or work. They have a decent menu with your classic drinks, some seasonal drinks, as well as some pastries to enjoy as you are at the cafe. Staff here was very friendly when I went. I got the matcha latte and it was good, but I just wish that the matcha was a bit stronger. My friend got a seasonal drink and also thought that it was pretty good. Overall, not a bad spot to study/work and I just love the interior. I think it would be even better once the weather gets nice and the you can sit outside on the patio! read more

Great spot! Coffee is good and pastries are great, I tried their plain croissant and loved it, flaky and flavorful. They also have oat and almond milk options. I've never seen such a RUDE STAFF!!! I ordered 2 latte and asked mug for art, the girl saying we close in 50 mins, I asked politely that if you do an exception I would appreciate and come back as it is my first time. "It's okay, we don't need your business" was the answer to me, and the dude next to her was judging me being rude, I tried to give some advice to the manager, but I got curious how that manager got hired to that position as she couldn't even talk. If you close at 5pm, take an extra hour for cleaning and give a decent service, without customers you don't have a business! read more

Am usually skeptical of overpriced coffee places but tried the Iced Mocha ($5ish) and it was really good! Love the decor and chill vibes of the place and staff seemed pretty nice. There's indoor and patio seating as well. Overall, a bit pricey but I was satisfied with the place! Probably would come back just to chill and have a drink! Ambiance is alright, nice space, very tight seating but the widows all around make it feel open. Good selection of snacks and light foods. Staff are miserable, one guy was glaring at customers as they ordered. The girl serving me didn't smile and acted annoyed serving me, just bad attitudes all around. I counted 5 staff members and only 1 was making coffee. I waited 15 minutes for an americano that tasted like dirty water, I couldn't even drink it and ended up throwing it out. My first pitstop as soon as checked into my hotel, which was just a few blocks away. The staff were super nice and moved the line quickly. Later in the afternoon they may be out of a lot of things. I ended up getting a sandwich, but they didn't have many options to choose from. It was a mozzerella and basil, and it was good. The bread was a bit hard, and it wasn't warmed up at all....which probably would have made it much better. My oatmilk latte was great. Overall a nice little pick-me-up. read more

Aesthetic, quaint and elegant. If you want a vibe, coffee and a place to people watch - this cafe on the corner of Yonge St. is the place to be. I love a good cup of coffee and they do it well. Good selection of drinks, plant-based milk options, delicious baked goods, and wifi of course. The only thing is that they have seating available, but it can get quite packed during busy times, especially on the weekend. Try to come early or hopefully you get lucky. read more

The long wait time for subpar coffee is a complete joke. Maybe if i was still in university or conducting interviews at coffee shops that this place would make sense. The decorations are nice and the place is jam packed with people chatting on octaves louder than the next person beside them. Ample space? Sure if you arrive an hr before opening time to grab a chair. The order taker, nice to bits. Order makers, not so much. I've tried it and that's that. Not a keen place to return to. read more

The order was incorrect, putting the wrong milk in one of the coffees. The coffee was tepid and very weak. When I explained as I was leaving that the coffee wasn't hot enough, I was treated very rudely and dismissively. I have this same specialty coffee daily at different coffee shops, but I was told the other coffee shops make it wrong. On the positive side, the croissants are delicious. read more

Unpleasant experience morning of Tuesday April 30 2024. It is unusual for Dineen's on Yonge, I agree, to piss me off but it happen: the young lady who served me was unfriendly, she talked more to her friend at the other cash register than to me, she gave me the wrong answers and the wrong change, there was no smile, there was a permanent frown. Did NOT like it a bit. I will still go, as I usually do, once or so to Dineen's on Yonge, as anybody can have an off day, but please somebody talk to this young lady about customer service, yeah? read more

The banana coffee tasted exactly how the Korean banana milk tastes! It was so good and they even decorated with a mini piece of banana on top. The Thai iced tea was also very good. The highlight for me was the macarons! I love macarons and they had so many cool flavours. We got Vietnamese coffee, matcha yuzu, hazelnut chocolate, mango, strawberry, and Hong Kong tea. My favourite was the Hong Kong tea and my partners was the strawberry. Great place, would definitely go again, the only thing I'd say is the service was a bit slow.

The one on Gerrard and Bay Street is my favorite. It's in a multilevel historical building and has a lot of chairs and tables to sit at inside the building and even outside in the courtyard. They they have various syrups like pumpkin and different flavors to add, but I just get lattes with little cinnamon in the cup and lactose free milk. If you wanna buy a bag of beans, they have several different flavor profiles all named after different historical Jimmy's.
