I had a fantastic experience with Soares Plumbing & HVAC Services and wanted to give a shoutout to…read moreJohn, who went above and beyond. I originally called to get a hot water recirculation line installed so I could finally have instant hot water at my kitchen sink. During his inspection, John noticed corrosion on my cast iron pipes that was causing a leak whenever I flushed the first floor toilet. What impressed me most is that several plumbers had looked at my place before and none of them caught it. He flagged it right away and explained everything clearly. He then quoted me a very fair price for the labor, a new toilet, and installation, and was able to schedule everything within the week. When the toilet arrived, he noticed a small blemish and told me he wouldn't install it because it didn't meet his standards and he told me not to pay until it was done right. That level of integrity is rare. When he came back with the replacement, he discovered the previous homeowner had done some questionable work with the flooring and the toilet had been sitting at an angle. Instead of just reinstalling it the same way, John took the extra time to properly level and seat it flush with the floor, which clearly took extra effort and skill. John is a true perfectionist, incredibly personable, and you can tell this is a family business that really cares about doing things the right way. The pricing was very fair and the quality of work was outstanding. Highly recommend.

** Do not use this company **…read more Installation was a complete failure and not to code. He does not carry professional or workers insurance, which is required by many towns for the work to be performed. Both brand new AC units and condensers need to be removed and completely replaced by a licensed, insured, HVAC company. See photo where the drain is not connected, the insulation is falling off of the plenum, and the return hose is damaged due to installation. Everything is duck (not duct) taped together and holding the plenum on to the air handler on one unit (shown in photos) In order to get the units running, I spent $1800 with an electrician under the direction of Ductless Master, only to find out after the fact that the modifications were unnecessary. After filing claims with Yelp and my credit card company, my deposit was refunded. Not including the refund for my deposit, I spent $7800 out-of-pocket (this has not been refunded).

Short moment later my tenants called complaining of leaks coming from one of the wall units and progresses all the 3 wall units start leaking. After 2 visits and 2 no call no show Patrick failed to fix leaking issues and gotten worse. I called and hired a reputable contractor and found multiple issues with Patrick and his crews installation. They had 3 pumps in the attic, one for every wall unit and 3 smaller pumps each inside wall unit, total of 6. The reputable contractor suggested 3 stronger pumps and not small pumps. Pumps in the attic were not sufficient and smaller pumps inside the wall unit were inactive. Copper tubes were poorly insulated, Flarenut exposed, and other contractor had to reroute all drainage. Patrick became mouthy when requested he reimbursed me for money I spent to fix his negligence. I paid Patrick over $11,000 for faulty job, and paid addition $1,271 to other contractor fix all issues stated above. I requested Patrick to reimburse me the $1,271. Patrick is only trying reimburse me for one of his pumps and one hour of labor which to me is an insult and a slap in the face, I will file a complaint.
