We went there Saturday with my adult kids. Live band, I don't know Latina music, but it was great. It's a byob, so another big plus for that. Had valet parking, and it was raining, another plus. Food was really good. Had four apps and 4 entrees. My wife did the ordering, I just did the eating. What I remember was an Empanada, coconut shrimp were super big and 2 other apps. For dinner the wife and I shared pork chop dish and some beef entree, not skirt steak. Looking forward to going back soon. By the way they have a nice bar area too.

Immediately placed a resy after learning about a new Cuban spot in Englewood. The aesthetics is top notch. You can tell a lot of thought has been considered on the design and layout. Food wise for the Appetizer we started with the Grilled octopus, Pulpo A la Parilla. A little chewy but paired well with the vinaigrette. For our mains we got Ropa Vieja, recommended by the owner and Lechon Asado. They mixed up the entrees and the sides combination we ordered, but no harm since we were all sharing but it's something to work on. These two entrees come with a choice of two sides. It's a shame they ran out of the Maduros. I expected a grand opening month to have things stocked correctly. Instead we opted for the sides of yuca fries, roasted corn, and tostones. We also ordered the Grand Cubano sandwich. Another thing to note was that they didn't bring you the green sauce if you ordered yuca fries with the traditional Cuban dishes but did so for the sandwich. It goes well like fries with ketchup so i wish the sides of the traditional came with the sauce as well. Overall worth checking out and seeing for yourself. I personally would come back for the atmosphere.

The Grand Cubano was a pleasant visit. They've done a good job with their decor and their dish presentation is also commendable. I enjoyed, that they gave us a carafe of water and provided plenty of extra napkins. My drink selection was the guava shake, with milk. It was served in a large glass, enjoyably sweet, and came with an appreciated whipped cream topping. We started with one of my favorite appetizers...the Tostones Rellenos (Fried green plantain cups, stuffed with ropa vieja-shredded beef). This appetizer was amazing! The shredded beef was exquisitely seasoned, the juice from the beef deliciously infused into the cups, and every bite was delectable. Both entrees were delightful. Picadillo (Cuban style ground beef, simmered with tomatoes, potatoes, spanish olives, peppers, and onions). Not only was the ground beef flavorful, but the side selections were INCREDIBLE. The Yuca con Mojo (Traditional cassava in garlic mojo. Served with onions) was delightful. Each forkful was scrumptious and the Sweet Plantains were.....well, my favorite side on this planet. The Cuban Sandwich was large enough to ask for a to-go box and the accompanying Yuca Fries nicely complemented the entree. We capped off the meal with Cortaditos (The cortadito is a traditional Cuban coffee drink made with espresso and steamed milk). Not only were the drinks enjoyable, but they were presented in beautiful cups. I will definitely return to The Grand Cubano and share meals with friends and family. Oh, and Yelpers, I recommend you do the same.

There's street and valet parking. Beautiful decor but if your seated in the back private room there is no decor at all. Cubano nachos were delicious, we all loved it. Order yuca frita that came with little bit of garlic sauce so we ordered more sauce for the appetizer and for the entree. The food needed more seasoning. A big cup with just a bit of garlic sauce and than we noticed they charged us for extra sauce $1.50. If your going to charge us so much might else well fill the cup up. So the website says live music but doesn't mention you will be charged for the live music. $10 each person which is way too much. We were a table of 5people. They mention the charge two Hours before the reservation via text. Which we were celebrating a birthday on a Friday so we obviously couldn't change locations last minute. When we asked if the band could sing happy birthday the manager said no they don't do any requests and theres too many celebrations. Since the band took awhile to set up when we were there than took breaks, we told the manager How was he going to charge us for live music when they barely performed during the duration we were there. I'm assuming thats why we weren't charged for the live band. Cute restaurant but i would not come back.

Solid food, we mostly order takeout and really like the pollo ala plancha. Only complaint is they don't give enough green sauce, even when you ask for extra in the notes :(

First time trying this restaurant and it was good! The portions were decent for the price and the service was great. We had a reservation for 5:30 but arrived early and were able to be seated at 5:15. On Saturday's there is apparently an additional cover of $10/person at 7pm for the live music but luckily we were able to leave before that because it was already a bit loud in there. The rice and beans seemed to be the best side with the yuca coming in second. Tostones were a bit dry and I have no idea why my brother would order fries. Empanadas were also just okay and the sauce it came with seemed lazily thrown together (for REALLY good chicken empanadas with a chimichuri I recommend Jose Tejas' pastelitos). Being a BYOB restaurant was great too, so overall, I would maybe visit again but only if I was already in the area.

After getting a fresh cut at @barberanatomy I was able to meet up with my friend the Range Rover expert @consultchris at @thegrandcubano during their soft opening week. This new small restaurant seamlessly blends modern industrial elements with a touch of nature, creating a unique ambiance that is both inviting and trendy. The interior features sleek metal accents, exposed brick walls, and wooden finishes, giving it an industrial charm. The combination creates a cozy yet contemporary atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing dining experience. The food is exceptional, offering a delightful fusion of flavors that cater to diverse palates. I had a Cubano and absolutely no complaints. The staff, warm and attentive, enhance the overall dining experience with their excellent service, making visit memorable. It is a BYOB establishment so come prepared to take their already great mocktails up a notch. Stop by and say hi to the wonderful waitress Virginia and one of the partners Romulo. Great people. Definitely worth a re-visit.

Beautiful ambiance Saturday night live music. Had a great time, met the owner Tony very nice. Food was delicious. We will definitely be going back soon. I highly recommend

Food was phenomenal! From the apps to the main dishes, everything was well flavored and portioned. We started with the empanadas (chicken and cheese options) which were crispy and savory. Opted for sweet chilli wings and those were well coated and fried. Ended with the great chicken sandwich with fries which I definitely recommend. The sandwich wasn't heavy nor lacked condiments and seasoning, well paired with those fries.

4 stars because the food portions felt more like an appetizer, but so tasty and goooooood. Service is great. Will definitively return but I'll let the chef know to get me a bigger portion

    soggy tostones and terrible yucca
    Daniela Z.

Oh my, I don't know where to start. This place was such a disappointment. We spent almost 40 dollars for just one meal. All the food was definitely made from frozen goods, the flavor was not there. The tostones were extremely soggy, not crispy at all. I have also never had such terrible tasting yucca before, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you want some good cuban food/cuisine I recommend Rumba Cubana!

The food was awesome came out very hot. The service was very, very polite. The ambience awesome great music not too loud and the climate was a little bit cool which I enjoy televisions, enjoyable atmosphere decorated nicely for Halloween.

Consistent service throughout. Our appetizers and entrees came out back to back. Our waiter still checked on us throughout and allowed us to take our time, we did not feel rushed. The chicken flautas and empanadas were perfect to share for appetizers. I ordered the chicken bowl which came with a variety of sauces, rice, beans, guacamole. Basically all the fixings for inside a taco. I really enjoyed it! My friend spoke highly of her chicken tacos as well. We originally wanted to order tres leches for dessert. However, it was frozen according to our waiter. We tried the churros instead, but they didn't taste as fresh. We loved our spicy margaritas and espresso martinis. Very limited Flavors to begin with and except for one, all other flavors were not so great. On top of that, they charge $10 extra to replace the Coals. $10 for COALS..?!?!? I have been to so many Hookah Lounges and this was the 1st we were ever charged for getting the coals changed. That is just atrocious. Switching the complete bowl with new flavor was $20, so obviously we ended up opting for that eventhough the 1st bowl/flavour was still good and just needed new coals.

Choices available in the pre-fix Menu were pretty decent and everything we ordered tasted good. We also ordered some drinks and they weren't bad. Decor of the restaurant was so cute and did live up to the Greek Theme and felt like a good option for quiet Dates or a relaxing meal with friends and family. One pet peeve for me was that most of the Menu options, both food and drinks were more American than Greek and I wish they had more Mediterranean options that matched the Theme. Staff were friendly and the service was quick but there were few mix ups with our drink order despite the fact that it was an early dinner so service might be slow during dinner rush. So, the comfort that I didn't quite find at my hotel? I found it here -- at an Italian restaurant…read more I wasn't so much in the mood for Italian food as I was for patio/al fresco dining and something delicious to drink. The food was an afterthought (initially). At Aumm Aumm, it (the food) became the main story. My rideshare dropped me off and I thought, 'This will do.' A large patio in the late spring sun was just what I needed. I walked in and said I was a party of one and I wanted to eat outside. Done. Soon, a very chatty and kind waiter was taking good care of me and offering a glass bottle of still water.* As I am wont to do, I ate in waves: appetizer and main course (and, if I have the room/interest, dessert). A drink and a solid. A began my meal with the burrata. Rarely can you go wrong with a ball of cheese but this was a silky, milky sphere of mozzarella, served with oranges, toasted walnuts & topped with truffle honey. Truffle honey. I tried to pair every bite with cheese, citrus, nut, and honey and each time I was successful, my mouth sang. To accompany my chews, my waiter suggested Rancoli Vermentino, a dry white with a crisp finish and enough adjacency to the fruit components of the burrata to make it make sense. Lovely. I forgot that I was in Jersey. For my main, I had a GF version of the pennoni alla genovese napoletana - slow-cooked caramelized onions & diced beef pasta. Simple but incredibly flavorful (which, I've learned, is what Italian food is all about). The plate was large and I could smell it before I saw it (a very good thing). To help bring the dish to life, my waiter suggested a warm red blend (earthy, cherry/berry forward). He was correct on the type of wine but I was a bit disappointed in the price point. Believe me, I know the ins and outs of the restaurant biz, but this glass should have been (at least) a couple of dollars cheaper (knowing what I could get a bottle for). This slight faux pas lessened my rating to a 4. Not the end of the world. Just know what you're paying for before committing. I was pleasantly full so I passed on dessert/coffee. Th NJ sales tax was less than I was used to but the dreaded credit card charge fee made an appearance. I probably spent more money on dinner than I would at present but I don't regret the experience. I slept very well that night. *There was a charge. Know before you go.
