The neatest difference between them and other places is that they are fabricators as well as natural stone providers so you get an upfront price including install the second you pick out your slab. They have some third-party cabinets that was intriguing as well. They even have precut sizes, which another couple of places had that again, the other places do not give you a price right away like these people do. I highly recommend them.

Utterly WOW! I had been running around to every stone warehouse and talking to almost a dozen…read morefabricators over a period of several months, based on Google research and Facebook ads. We had resigned ourselves to pretty basic (ie "UGLY") granite due to our budget. But I drive past this fabricator almost every day near my house, and decided to stop in on a whim to see if they could beat a price that another fabricator had quoted me on a slab I had seen at a warehouse. Isa greeted me cheerily and said she'd do a little research. By the end of the day she had sent me quotes on several slabs, including the one I was interested in. Her quote beat out the other fabricator (and she didn't know the competitor's price!), but she suggested I take a look at another showroom in The Colony called Verona Marble, to see if there was anything there I liked. Pulling up in front of the place, I quickly realized they would have NOTHING in my price range, but I went in anyway, and fell in love with multiple slabs I knew I could never afford. I sent her the ones I liked, and to my shock, one was square in my budget range, and the other 2 I could have pulled off. However, my favorite slab was the one that she quoted within my budget, and that's the one we picked. It's a new type of finish called "iced," which is a combination of the new, trendy "leathered" finish (which offers a coarse, almost pebbly surface) with a final polish that only shines up the larger, highest patches of the stone. It's utterly breathtaking to look at, AND touch. Visually and texturally stunning. Their quote on this slab was lower than quotes for even the basic, cheap slabs I was getting from other contractors, I could not believe it. (The base granite in the slab was an otherwise drab, basic, grey granite you see everywhere, but the finish transforms it into something that looks super high-end and perfectly matched the look in my new kitchen. This is why it was in my price range, the granite itself is cheap, it's the finish that elevates it.) They scheduled measurements/templates for the day after my contractor was supposed to finish installing my cabinets. Unfortunately, he had to come back that morning for a couple of hours to finish, so he was present when Granite Fabricators came to template. This meant I had to reschedule templating for later in the day, incurring an extra fee. (My cabinet contractor's fault.) However, they measured at 2pm, and the countertops were installed THE NEXT DAY. (Keep in mind, this was in January, which is the slowest month for countertop fabricators.) As a chef, not having a kitchen means not having income, so I was SO impressed with this turnaround time. Something to note is that their people showed up early for EVERY appointment at my house, so if you have a 2pm appointment time, please be ready to expect them up to an hour early. As someone who works from home, this was not a big deal for me, but if they had arrived at their stated time (or a bit later, as most contractors do), I might not have had to pay for a reschedule when they showed up while my cabinet guy was finishing up. Overall, I am utterly thrilled by Granite Fabricators of Dallas. Their prices can't be beat, Isa and Elva in the office are super friendly and follow up quickly, and our new countertops have astounded everyone who has seen them. They look ultra-luxe, far beyond what we expected to get with our budget.

Both times were to fix and repair the previous installer's errros. It is one thing to be able to do exceptional works from the beginning, but it is another feat to be able to go in and fix another installer's mistakes. David is very punctual and will show up when for an estimate when he said he would and his team/crew will show up to complete the job on the schedule date on time. David lives about 1.5 hours away from my house and both times he came to meet me and give me an estimate, not knowing whether we were going to go with him on the job or not. David is a straight-shooter and will tell you what he can and cannot do. Overall, David and his crewmate Francisco did amazing jobs for the two repairs, and most importantly, gave me a peace of mind. A wainscoting in the dining room, a accent wall in the master bedroom and a total transformation of the look around our sealed propane fired fireplace. Taking it from a 20 year old look (large beige ceramic tiles) to the Austin Stone and a flat limestone appearance on the floor level hearth. Estimate was reasonable and we scheduled it for a few weeks later. When they arrived to do the work and began to prepare the house for the work, I had concerns. Not that they were doing a bad job - rather that they sealed off and protected stuff more than 10ft from the surface they were working on. So .. I thought - wow - I sure hope they can control the process better than that. Well they did control it well and they were just being cautious of my house/belongings. I fully appreciated it when they finished the process and they were out of there quickly. They spent one day prepping and came the next day to spray and carve. Amazing process and GREAT folks. I am very impressed, as is EVERYONE I show the before and after photographs to. For a reasonable cost, they likely added back to the resale of the house 2x or 3x the cost. Of course, since I never plan to move ... that doesn't matter to much to me. But the house looks GREAT. These guys rock. Alfredo is the estimator and works with the crew as well (as needed I'm sure), he is very personable and he "talked the talk and walked the walk". Would recommend these folks to anyone.

When it comes to ProCal Stone, our best advice is: BUYER BEWARE. In September 2018, we contracted…read morewith ProCal Stone to install a limestone overlay on our brick fireplace. Alfredo, one of the owners, did a great job selling the solution and due to a cancellation by another customer offered us a discounted price to do the work. Alfredo is very good at what he does both as a salesman and as a contractor. Unfortunately, what became painfully obvious to us throughout our dealings with ProCal Stone was that unless Alfredo was personally involved, the work was not done properly. What also became apparent was that since we were a relatively small customer (~$2,500), Alfredo could not be bothered with us once we got past the initial installation. Their "warranty service" was a joke. I've never before had a vendor ask me to "pay my guys a little something" on warranty work to correct things that their company did incorrectly! The fireplace initially looked pretty good but there were some issues with the color, which were ultimately corrected after about three visits and with the sealer, which to this day has not been adequately addressed. In fact, ProCal's last attempt to address the sealant (June 2019) was a total failure. Not only did they seal the fireplace to the point where months later, it's still sticky to the touch. They damaged our walls (used the wrong type of tape that pulled paint off the walls) and our flooring (overspray from the color was left on our floors around the base of the fireplace). The worst part was that they left the house in that condition and refused to come back out to address it. In fact, Alfredo (and his manager Irma) refused to return numerous phone calls we made to try to get them to come back out to fix the damage they caused. After speaking to irma on Friday afternoon, June 28, she committed to call me back on Monday with a resolution and I'm still waiting to hear back from anyone at ProCal. (And I have the phone records to prove it.) We suspect that part of this refusal to engage was designed to let the 1 year warranty expire so that they could get paid for any additional work. We went ahead and addressed the paint and flooring damage ourselves. The limestone itself has not proven to be a good solution. It does not wear well (chips and crumbles easily) and the sticky sealant is a nuisance. We will eventually have to find another solution for our fireplace. We wish we had never heard of ProCal Stone and would strongly urge anyone considering them for an interior residential solution to BEWARE. #Untrustworthy #MoneyGrab #VeryUnprofessional
