Toppings (sausage and mushroom) were few and far between, especially the mushrooms which were almost nonexistent. Toppings, sauce, and cheese came only half-way to the edge, just dough after that. Top was way over-browned to the point where the cheese was disagreeably chewy. And I'm not sure if this was meant to be a thin-crust or a deep-dish pizza because it was both: thin in the middle half and three times thicker in parts of the outer half. Obviously whoever prepared this has no clue to how to do it properly. The ONLY good thing I can say about this mess is the dough itself was fresh and had a good texture. It wasn't just one. We were a group of 5 and ordered 3 pizzas. Everybody agreed they were bad. They should be ashamed to serve these. Didn't anybody notice leaving the kitchen they were unservable? So I would never consider here for take-out. But we were here for trivia night so maybe I'd try again to have something to eat while playing? But next time if they come out like that I'd be refusing delivery and demanding a new one - that's for sure. As far as the trivia, I might not return for that either. The room was very loud from the crowd, and the announcer's microphone never did work properly so it was very hard to hear. And, knowing how many good wines and beers they sell in the general store on the first floor, it is painful to have a choice of just 5 very generic wines upstairs. Why can't they offer all the wines from downstairs, with a reasonable mark-up for restaurant purchase of course?

I grabbed 2 six packs of coors and went to the counter where there are 3 registers to check out. The cashier was clearly busy shuffling back and fourth between the registers acting like he was looking for something under the counter so I took a step back to give him some time until he was ready. Instead, he grabs out a sign that says "CLOSED" and SLAMS it on the counter and stares at me like I have 9 heads. Blank face, no words said. He then continues to give me the silent treatment and shuffles over to the next counter where he then finally decides to speak. He decides to talk extremely condescendingly and says "are you going to check out?" Not "I can help you over here". I then walk over to put my items on the counter and not even 1 second after the items hit the table he's once again talking to a customer like their 6 years old and saying "do you happen to have your ID?" Like maybe give me 5 seconds to get out my wallet. He then scans my ID and while he's doing that I'm grabbing out my card to pay, but that clearly wasn't fast enough for him as after he finishes scanning my ID he decides to wave it all around. He then asks, are you using card to pay? Like no I have my card out and ready to pay because i'm paying with cash Also, I'm not sure if it's because i'm a 24 year old female or if this staff member has always been disgusting towards customers (which from other reviews from a whopping 14 years ago seems likely) but literally every adult male customer behind me also looked just as confused as I did as to why this staff member thought I can read his mind as to what register he'll take me at. I will gladly go around the rotary to Barnum road liquors or down the road to Ayer package store before I ever purchase from here again. I would give it 0 stars if it was an option.

It's been empty for years. This is now a very good beer and wine store. Open and clean and well labeled, they carry a good selection of mid-level wines- nothing over $20 that I could see. Some hard liquor - some brands I'd never seen before which was neat. Excellent beer selection and a number of local places are here too. Medusa from Hudson is here. The sell lotto tickets too. Cashier was very friendly and helpful not only to us but others in the store. It looks like some other business was meant to go in here - I figured a brand new place would be sparking but the floor has had some repairs and there is open space towards the back. I had wore a full face motorcycle helmet into the shop and wears roundly scolded that they, "don't do helmets in the store." Apparently the guy didn't like my clarifying question of surprise, "No, helmets?" His attitude picked up even more and he demanded an ID (I'm almost 40 years old) on an obvious power trip.
