This used to be my go to local liquor store for over 10 years. Recently it went through a management/ownership change. Service has gone from excellent and some times above & beyond to abysmal. They are removing interesting hard to find items with huge stacks of generic ales. They were previously well known for their craft beers and large variety of different stouts, porters and Scotch ales. Not to mention the wine & spirits selection was amazing. I am now much less interested in utilizing their services so much so that even though they are walking distance to my home, I Uber or bus to Shrewsbury or utilize delivery services to get the selection & variety I want. read more

Under new management. Went in yesterday and was wondering why it was so quiet, and where the employees were who had been there the past 15 years. Turns out the store has been sold. I don't have a problem with the new owners, but I have to wonder what they did with the guys who were the heart and soul of this store for so long. Businesses change hands, I get that. But getting rid of all of the long-time employees and only hiring your own race or family encourages stereotyping and is bad business. read more

Good selection of wines and beer. Only reason I'm rating 2 stars is because of the customer service. Usually, this place is pretty good. 2 lines open, stood behind an extremely slow customer for about 4 mins. 3 other customers in the other line had been checked out. I was next and the cashier aborts his station and disappears. How rude. I jump to the other line and finally get checked out after waiting 10 plus minutes. Sort of frustrating I'm like chopped liver bringing my business here. 2 cashiers were so busy talking to the locals. Just based on queue management I'll be going to Austin from now on. read more

I have been giving my business to Mass Liquors for years. Thanks to this Liquor store, I don't buy the same generic drinks you find everywhere else. I can say that Mass Liquors has expanded my wine, beer, and Bourbon knowledge quite a bit. Now my guest can't wait to try my wine & beer selection when they come over. It makes for a great conversation piece. Everyone that works there has a thorough knowledge of what they have to offer. This is my go-to place for booze in Worcester. They consistently have a great selection of beer, wine, and liquor at all points on the quality spectrum but always at good prices. They carry the standards, and then after that you never know what cool stuff you'll find here. Craft beer, small batch bourbon, awesome tequila...and all with snappy service to boot! The people who work there are very knowledgeable about alcohol and will give you a solid recommendation without being pretentious. They're also very into supporting Worcester's economy through small independent businesses, which I think is great. Plus, I don't feel like I'm going through Customs when I'm at checkout here. This smallish store has, for its size, quite an impressive selection of good beer. American corporate, microbrews, and imports. Prices are very good, and a lot of it is kept cold, ready to go. Service is fast, and friendly. They even offered to carry my purchase out to my car. With an ample parking lot, this place has it all. The store is bigger than it looks from outside! Great selection of beers, wine, and liquor - not quite in the NH Liquor Store category, but very decent. Prices were good, the sale prices were awesome. Friendly employees who helped me carry my $70 order out to my car so I didn't have to make multiple trips. I was really impressed by how CLEAN and well-organized it is in here; most Worcester packies are all about college students and lowest prices. This place is about lowest prices and decency. Great store. Good prices. Great selection of Irish Whiskey and craft beer. Kegs are usually in stock. State Liquors, which is nearby makes you feel like a criminal if you try to purchase a keg from them. On the other hand Mass Liquors is very pleasant and will help load it into your car if they have somebody available. What else can you ask for? read more
