They were Livingston Vincent Garrity paintings. Attached our two photos of the paintings. I paid Cheryl's husband right away and we drew up a contract and agreed on a 50-50 split . We stayed in contact and Cheryl's husband told me that the paintings were sold for 4000.00and he is waiting for a check or money transfer. This was/20/24 I stopped in right before Christmas to get paid and Cheryl's husband informed me they are still waiting for the money transfer , the paintings were shipped He assured me as soon as the funds were in his bank account, he would Zelle me the money . So I left for Florida. We kept in contact through tax and it was one excuse after another no money was sent. So I get back to Illinois early March 3/13/25 at this point I am calling him and texting him . Finally, he sends me $100. Well, I'm only 1900 short , so I continue calling them and nothing. Now we are getting heated , on 3/25 / 25 they send 500.00. So I called and no answer again., I text no answer, so at this point, I have an Attorney send them a letter. Now I get another 500 making me short 900 At this point, I am getting extremely angry and we start texting some more. Cheryl's husband calls me Avenatti the attorney that went after Donald J Trump. I'm sorry this is all uncalled for all over $2000 so now we can go to court. And I will expect proof of sale, for all I know they could've sold the paintings for $40,000. We decided to have some prints framed here and were shocked when the "70%" price was over $1,550.00…read morefor (4) fairly small prints. We liked the matting and frame selected and figured that it was going to be a nice finished product that we would enjoy and decided to move forward. Two weeks later, we pickup the "finished" prints and get them home to realize one of the textured mattings is running the opposite direction of the others and presented as an entirely different color when in the light. There were also tons of dust/paper particles under the glass. We return them and ask for them to be remade showing the issues. We wait over a week and go to pick them up again. Shockingly, the matting is cut roughly, overcut on the corners and still has tons of debris and dust under the glass. I immediately reject all (4) because they were worse than before. Another week+ goes by and we go to pick them up again. SAME EXACT ISSUES. Mat quality issues (scuffs/rubs), scratches in the acrylic now, debris under glass, etc. We, for the third time, reject them all and ask for a refund and to get our prints back. The woman was incredibly rude, demanded a receipt from us even though they had one on file and was entirely disrespectful to us even though the work was abhorrent. They finally pulled up the receipt and issued the refund but as they were standing 10' away from us removing our prints they were having disgustingly disrespectful and highly unprofessional conversations about us. I am so shocked and appalled to have not only spent that kind of money to receive sub-par work, but to be spoken to and about so disrespectfully for rejecting such embarrassingly bad work. Shameful and would not trust them to do any work and, frankly, the store is filthy and none of the employees are particularly kind or helpful.

I've been to practically…read moreevery Hobby Lobby within 100 miles of where I live, I LOVE shopping there, and I've easily spent thousands of dollars with this company. I have never experienced anything like what happened at this location. I have only been to this location twice, and BOTH times my boyfriend and I were literally followed around the store. I'm not talking about employees simply being nearby or checking if we needed help. They were actively looking for us. I could be all the way in an aisle toward the back of the store, and employees would come looking through the aisles, spot us, stare at us, whisper into their walkies, and then continue following us. It was so obvious that it became extremely uncomfortable. At one point, I literally watched a female employee walk up behind my boyfriend and try to move around him just to get a look at his face. She had her head cocked trying to see him, and the second I turned around and caught her doing it, she looked startled and immediately walked away without saying a single word. That is NOT normal customer service. And what makes this even more disturbing is that we were the only Hispanic customers in the store while the employees and the overwhelming majority of the customers were white. Nobody else appeared to be getting this treatment. If an employee wanted to check whether we needed help, they could have simply asked us. Instead, we were followed, watched, stared at, and monitored throughout the store. I don't casually throw around the word "racist," but after experiencing this TWICE at the same location, it is extremely hard not to believe that we were being singled out because we are Hispanic. We were treated like we had done something wrong simply for walking into the store. I absolutely love Hobby Lobby, which is what makes this experience even more upsetting. But I will never spend another dollar at this location. Management seriously needs to address the way customers are being treated here, because making people feel targeted and unwelcome based on how they look is completely unacceptable.
