My purpose for writing this review is to highlight Ashley Egg exemplary customer service skills. I'm in the processes of having work done in my home and was asked by my contractor to purchase the materials he'll be needing to do the work. So unfortunately this has resulted in me having to make multiple trips and inaccurate purchases. Ashley was able to correct a misunderstanding which lead to a mistake on her colleague part which was starting to frustrate me at best. Ashley's knowledge of the store and it policy help to ensure my experience at Floor and Decor was pleasant and ensuring my return when the need calls for it. I was returning an item I purchased 20 days ago (New in packaging with receipt), and was rudely and aggressively rebuffed by the CountrySide Store assistant Scott and the manager Carl. The COUNTRYSIDE store, where aggressive nastiness is a norm and where the MANAGER decides the return policy, should be avoided. The online Customer service and Corporate Customer service elements of Floor & Decor are helpful and responsive. The Aurora store was exemplary. I strongly discourage shopping in this store: The management practices and dismissal of corporate policy exposes customers to a potentially untrustworthy and unreliable business experience. read more

Horrible customer service. They say they will return unused overage - there are signs all over the store and online. Over 3 months store you should get store credit. Then when you drag it in, they say manager discretion and won't return it! (Mine was 4 months, was just looking for store credit). I spent over $2500 and this was a $25 store credit. Will never shop there again. Super rude people. Go to Lombard location instead - people way nicer and follow store policies! read more

Great experience, we always come here for tile & our remodels. Everyone is very friendly, however we had a NOT SO GREAT experience today with Diego. If you are going to have an employee at the cash register you should have someone with customer service experience and personable. Everyone is human & has their own life things going on, but that is never an excuse to be rude to a customer. I purchased tile and grout for our bathroom remodel back in November 2021 and like most home projects, it was delayed quite a bit. The tiling was finally done this past week so I went to return my excess tile/grout (about $450 worth) and was refused since the receipts were past the 90 days. They told me to call The Retail Equation if I want to dispute their denial, which I did and was then told that I had to submit a dispute via US mail to have them reconsider (why wouldn't they want an email is beyond me). I could understand if the tile or grout was dated, on clearance, in low quantities, etc. but it is not. As a matter of fact, there are 190 pieces available just at this store PLUS the price increased by $1/piece over what I paid. There are 70 boxes of the wall tile in stock at the same price. The grout is available in the same colors at the store as well as other home improvement stores so it is not a discontinued item. All these hoops to jump thru for products that they have in stock... their receipt even states that "returns over 90 days from purchase or without an original sales receipt will be processed to merchandise credit." While I understand that they have the "right to limit or deny returns", these items were still in their unopened boxes. They claim to empower their store managers to create a local shopping experience... if this experience is what you desire, visit the Countryside, IL location. While I liked their tile and selection, it will be the first and last time I shop at Floor & Décor. read more

I rarely give 5 stars but I'll explain: When I go to Home Deport or Menards and this also includes Lowes, I tend to find flooring but the problem is it is very expensive. I usually just get a headache and walk away with nothing. This time around my contractor told me about this location, and I knew it opened recently but I would never set foot here as I thought it was going to be way over my budget. Guess what? I found flooring that was beyond reasonable and I quickly grabbed it! The results are amazing! (*see photos) I was inside and one of the employees asked me if I needed help and of course I had questions. He answered them to a tee and I was able to speak to another employee who gave me the run down on how to install flooring, although this time I was going to use a contractor. Regardless, I was given enough pointers now to feel comfortable next time I decide to do a home event which of course is within the next few months! The amount of money spent on what I purchased was incredible and as the photos will show, it came out beyond beautiful. My bathroom and living room look super high end now and no one could ever realize that I didn't pay thousands of dollars for the look. Well, the installation cost a bit but the cost of tiles was not expensive at all. I will say that if you can, ask the staff to let you know when the next DIY of tiles will be, as they do it weekly and you will be able to save thousands on cost just with that. The employees at this location are wonderful. They are so helpful, courteous and do business with integrity. We purchased laminate flooring that was defective from another Floor and Decor location. When we went to return it, they refused to refund the money paid for the opened packages. This was infuriating because they were selling a faulty product and sticking the customer with the defective materials. Thank goodness we decided to come to this location. Lloyd was amazing. When he heard what happened, he refunded us the full amount and helped to find another floor at an even better price. Thanks Lloyd! You saved the day! read more

Good thing that we stumbled unto Don Johnson (DJ) who went above and beyond. He showed us our different options, got samples, set up a small demo right there in the aisle and guided us to the right choices just from our hurried description. This place is highly recommended! Had a great experience here today. Danny helped me out. I told him what I needed- new floors for the entire house. He showed me my options based on my needs and I picked out samples of flooring to bring back to the new house. I appreciated that he helped me locate what I needed, but then left me to browse without hovering. Returned an hour later with my choice and he walked with me writing everything down I told him the contractor wanted me to get. Very easy purchase. I will be returning when I do my kitchen and bath. I had already visited Menards, Home Depot and Lumber Liquidators and this was by far the best choice. Another exceptional shopping experience. Cynthia helped me today pick out all the tile I needed for my bathroom remodel. I had already chosen my tile, but needed help picking it up and getting grout/sealer/etc. I walked in and I was done in less than 20 minutes with everything I needed. I'm a property mgr for more than 3 decades. I bought some of F&D's Vinyl Waterproof Flooring, in excess of $600. My installer had trouble cutting the flooring and I decided to return the flooring. I had it refunded to the Credit Card I used for the purchase. 2 days ago I returned $534 of flooring and the refund has still not been deposited into my Chase Acct. I called F&D and they advised that It is normal for this process to take 3 to 5 days. When I probed as to why this is the case, the response was "It's just the way it is." While the store is beautiful and the selection above average, I'm moving F&D way down on my supplier list. read more

This was quite a wonderful experience. First we found such a huge selection of possibilities. Next we found help was a few feet away but we were left alone until we asked for help. The help given far exceeded our expectations. We had a lady named Karen who went over and above to help. She offered suggestions, told us where to search for additional how-to support and also offered some interior design suggestions as well. Went in looking for a lot of tile for a renovated guest bathroom. Found great selections and extremely friendly and helpful employees. DJ was outstanding and helped us with not only tile and grout but also a vanity top and went as far as helping us load a car-full of materials. A lot of associates asked if we needed help. There product selection is o.k. Prices a bit high. When we did decide what we liked and gave measurements, the sales associate kept adding items we found didn't need. Seem to me she must be on a commission scale. Commission scales are not good for customers or customer relationships to have them come back. We ended up returning more than half the products we never used. They purported they were professionals. I would have been better going to Home Depot or Menards. There, the products are as good if not better and way less expensive. I wanted to support a small and new business in the area. Best advice, save money, there are better floor and tile stores around who want customers to return. read more

Completely incompetent. Don't rely on the floor staff to have any knowledge base. They guess. Do not trust the inventory status between the other stores. Make them CALL the other store if you need to travel for a sold out product. I got burned on this one. Menard's had what I wanted, same product at 20% less, AND the staff knew what they were doing. Someone had suggested Floor & Decor to me for broad selection of tile and store displays providing helpful visuals. I went online and saw that they offered free design consultations. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. It was well worth my time. My design consultant, Maribel was amazing. I went in and showed her the room layouts, cabinets, fixtures and wall colors. My appointment was scheduled for 1 hour. Going in, I only expected to complete tile selection for only one or two of the three rooms I'm working on. Within 45 minutes Maribel, was able to assist me in selecting tile (floors, showers, backsplash) for all 3 rooms (2-bathrooms and kitchen).
