Frustrating Checkout Experience at a New, Clean ALDI…read more I really wanted to love this new ALDI location. The store itself is spotless, well-organized, and actually enjoyable to shop in. The layout makes sense, the aisles are easy to navigate, and the product selection is great. From the moment you walk in, it feels like the kind of place that should become a regular stop. But the moment you're ready to check out, everything falls apart. The checkout lines here are consistently long and slow-moving, no matter the time of day. What makes it even more disappointing is the fact that ALDI removed their self-checkout options without putting any effective process in place to keep things flowing. If the goal was to ensure items in the cart match what's being scanned, you'd think there would be a smarter and more efficient way to do that -- but instead, customers are left waiting with no clear system or support. It's frustrating because ALDI's nearby competitors, like Lidl, do offer self-checkout at their busier locations, and it makes a huge difference in convenience and speed. Here, it feels like the store took a big step backward. As much as I appreciate how clean and modern the store looks, the checkout experience completely overshadows it. Until they fix the long lines or bring back self-checkout, I really don't see myself returning regularly. This location had so much potential, but checkout makes it more stressful than it's worth.

Of course they had other dry items more then gourmet Glatt but bottom line, what goes in your mouth is what affects your health. These days you cannot be too careful. So kudos for gourmet Glatt ! So they have two stores in five towns, Nassau county. Hewelett and Woodmere. Both are excellent. We got 4 packs of sumols, Portuguese candies, and my son got random candies/snacks he wanted! Yosh, the owner was so kind, friendly, accommodating, and respectful. He also put out his sisters work on display and to sell - a book she wrote and cards she illustrated. As an older sister, that meant so much and was so good to see. I definitely will be back. The vibes are great, i see kids going in and out of the store all the time and that just shows what a welcoming, friendly environment Yosh provides to the community. I have been going to this little market since they opened…read more The owner keeps his mask on his chin and normally I stay away and it's usually quiet when I go in there On September 15th that was not the case...The store was packed and there was a friend of the owners on line to check out...I told him to put his mask on his face covering his nose which he did for all of a few seconds I wasn't near him but there was an older woman on top of him chatting and her mask was off too ...When the owner came to help at the register and didn't have his mask on that made me even more uncomfortable ..He checked out his friend and they both had no masks on in this very tiny store ...I put my stuff down and walked out...PROTOCOL HAS TO BE for all and this man clearly doesn't understand or respect that

The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaging, which made the whole experience even better. And if you visit, you MUST ask for a Frappe!
