However, the experience inside left a bad impression. When my partner and I walked in, there were two people inside. It wasn't clear if they both worked there or just one of them, but neither acknowledged us at all. They continued talking to each other while we walked around, which made things feel pretty awkward. Customer service is really important to me, especially that first impression when you walk in. A simple "hello" goes a long way. Unfortunately, the lack of any acknowledgment made me feel disregarded, and that really took away from the experience. We ended up leaving without buying anything. I'm on the fence about recommending this place. The plant selection is great, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. P.s. we were visiting from out of town on my birthday didn't feel so welcomed.

I do think some of the instructions might be overwhelming/confusing to someone if it's busy or you're in a hurry and just skim over them, but I get why they have their process and it probably helps with efficiency, avoiding damage/contamination, and keeping costs to a minimum, which benefits the customer because their prices are phenomenal. I will happily follow some hand written directions when the result is I can fill my entire garden bed for less than a hundred dollars, yes please. I love the selection of native plants. As a first-time customer, we had no means of knowing that the outdoor plants shouldn't be brought inside for purchase. There was no clear signage or anything on the door that would help guide us to where we needed to go or the process to check out. We didn't appreciate how snappy Angie got with us when we made the mistake of bringing the items indoors for purchase. I had also grabbed a few items that were reserved for other customers (again no clear signage or roping was used to differentiate the areas where reserved items and up for sale items were). Again, we got a bit of a scolding from the owner because of this honest mistake. I believe with more clear signage and directions for new customers, a lot of this confusion can be avoided to help make it a better shopping experience for all. Ultimately though sales is not only about what you have to sell, but how you sell it.

I thought a plant would be a good idea and looked at their drop down menu of plants, finding the Monstera plant I had wanted. It was exactly like the plant I recently bought at Trader Joe's for $29, but the price from Comal is $269.95. My eyes just about bugged out of my head. I did a cross check on the Home Depot website and you can buy the same plant for under $50 and have it delivered. I was absolutely flabbergasted. I found a different florist that had really nice plants to choose from and at a much more realistic price point.
