They loaded it up for me and even held the rest for me for a few hours when it wouldn't all fit. It's been over a month since we installed the grass and it's doing really great. While there, I couldn't help noticing all the great plants in their nursery. They had everything I usually see in all the beautiful landscaping around town, but can never seem to find. Bonus, they were also at a great price, so I picked up three that the owner suggested for shady gardens. They too are in great shape a month later and really thriving. The gentleman we initially met at their yard gave a tour of all the trees in his golf cart, asked us several questions about what we were replacing, and what we thought we would like to replace it with. He stopped frequently to identify the different trees, provide all the pros and cons of each variety, whether they were particularly suitable for where we live, etc. We didn't feel rushed, he was exceptionally pleasant, and was happy to answer all our questions. When we decided what type of tree we wanted, we were handed a flag, picked out the exact tree we liked best, and they delivered it in a matter of days. Their crew was friendly and efficient, and for a reasonable fee, cut down and removed the dead tree. They were finished in no time, and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. They only asked for payment when the old tree was gone, the new tree was planted, staked, watered, and we were 100% satisfied with their work. I really didn't think this level of customer service existed anymore. Go see them. You won't regret it.

I checked the Google reviews to make sure that they have options for me before I arrived which they said that they did. Located off of a busy highway/street with plenty of parking on a white gravel path, I found Scoops and Roots. I wasn't immediately greeted upon entering which I thought was a red flag, but I continued to walk inside as I was craving vanilla ice cream. I searched the options high and low looking for anything that was marked, "dairy-free" or "vegan", everything sounded absolutely delicious with the unique flavors that they had to offer, however, I was deeply disappointed when I didn't find anything that caught my eye. I asked and the chick behind the counter suggested a chocolate ice cream that was the only vegan option outside of the non-creamed items. I was double disappointed because chocolate is my least favorite flavor. I wasn't expecting this restaurant to be all vegan, but at least some cream options. I ordered the chocolate. It was okay at best. I sat towards the back of the restaurant near the plants. There was a guy who kept walking around the vicinity that I was sitting which made me feel as if I was being studied. He spoke very loudly towards another person. I think he introduced himself as the owner. The plants were beautiful to look at, however, I thought that the pricing was outrageously expensive. I am a gardener and a former houseplant parent (before it was popular) and thought that the pricing of the plants was unreasonable. The owner sparked up a conversation with me and was telling me about how to care for plants. I had told him that I know how to care for plants to keep them alive as I used to work at a garden nursery and previously owned that said plant when I was in college. He continued to tell me about plant care. Even the gardening supplies were pretty pricey. It was a chill vibe, but I won't be back considering they don't have more dairy-free flavors outside of chocolate ice cream.

They have many beautiful plants and they are placed so lovely, it's like walking through a garden. They have a very large parakeet area where they have rescued parakeets. They have a beautiful turtle with pond that is the size of a pool and the turtles are currently having babies! There's herbs, there's perennials, there's annuals. There are Texas native plants. The nursery is surrounded by beautiful large trees. Their shaded plants are shaded under the shade of these beautiful large trees. I truly enjoyed myself. The people who work there are so helpful and kind. I asked lots of questions and they never got tired of answering or smiling. Their prices are medium, you can probably find some herbs and plants for less money, but you get what you pay for here. Their plants are an excellent condition and very well cared for. I bought a Sago palm, a chamomile, and an Italian parsley. I highly recommend you visit!

From the…read moreexterior, I underestimated the scope of the establishment, but soon the realization of just how massive and nicely decorated the place was. Most likely you'll first park your vehicle, then walk in the main entrance with its grand rustic signage. Perhaps you might miss the rope swing to your left, and instead you might be drawn to the rows of plants on your right. You might snake in further to under the tarp covered area. Or perhaps you'll venture inside the building at the front. You might check out their aviary, try to find their two tortoises, turtles, or admire their pottery selection. If you go in far enough, lights string themselves between trees towering above you. If you go all the way back, you'll find a sheltered greenhouse area with some neat displays. In the fountain area, water will be aerated, and alligator heads will float around. You might go around reading signage describing various plants, how they can be used, conditions in which they thrive, or how they drip irrigate their nursery plants. Some signs suggest they can source plants for you if needed. You might encounter the friendly people running the place who'll explain to you how everything works. But other, it's a nice e area to walk around. Across the other side of the parking lot, they have a museum set up inside a large garage. Entry to this nursery is free, but if you're looking to buy a plant, you can grab a cart, find your selection, and then bring it over to one of the checkout stations that they have setup. Otherwise, there is plenty of space to walk around and explore.

Watch out your credit card! After swiping and inserting the card 7 times at the faulty register, my…read morecard got locked due to safety reasons. I have pointed out they have a faulty register, but the cashier IGNORED it and just said "keep swiping". I asked for the store manager, and her reply was "he's over there" as if I was going to meet him. Eventually, I was able to talk to him about the problem, but he didn't seem to be concerned. Luckily I have backup cards and my PAINFUL transaction was finally able to go through. All that for a couple of dollars. What a joke!
