Açaí bowls seem to be the trend nowadays, so I said, let me hop on the wagon too. I think this is a…read morechain & I've had their bayside location, which was good, so I am glad they have one in Astoria too. My go-to is the açaí bowl (original - classic size) just the way it is, no customization. I haven't tried their other bowls but the UBE & coconut sounds very good too! Oh yea, if you don't feel like chewing, they have all their açaí bowls in smoothie form too. Refreshing, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The açaí is smooth and slightly tart, balanced by sweet fruits and a satisfying crunch from granola. They also say their granola is "home made" which definitely adds that extra crunch. A light yet energizing treat that makes you feel as good as it tastes. Perfect for those hot NYC days...(and cold when winter comes).

I grabbed a Green Bowl (pictured; blended spinach, banana, mango, kale, and almond milk, granola,…read morestrawberries, mangoes, blueberries) for breakfast, subbing the coconut and honey for peanut butter and hemp seeds. The person behind the counter made my bowl quickly and got the substitutions correct. I got a classic size, and it was quite large, though expensive. The fruit was all very fresh, and the green mixture tasted great. I would definitely eat this again. The SoBol space was nice, though it was deserted while I was there. The space is designed for ones and twos, or small groups at most to eat their bowls or drink their smoothies, and then leave.

This place actually saves my life during summer…read more #8 (mango lychee smoothie) and #9 (watermelon lychee smoothie) are absolutely delicious, and so so so delicious! I also love their Kale Monster drink, but I forget the number for it on their menu. The staff is super friendly. If they're not related, they act like they are, which makes the relatively small operation seem really nice and intimate. They are so nice, and very fast. The drinks are a little expensive, but you can see the entire assembly process and it is clear that only real fruit is used, and no sweeteners. For that quality, I'm happy to pay, and it's still less expensive than other drink spots in the area. There are no chairs, and the standing area is quite small, but I actually love that because it means I don't have to stay in there with my kids while they drink their smoothies. If I did, they would surely be constantly asking for more kinds of smoothie instead of just enjoying the one they have. For that reason, I don't mind the small space being inconvenient for dining in. In the end, delicious, fresh, smoothies at a great price, with friendly staff :)

The item was on a new handwritten menu with "Vitamin Smoothies." The smoothie consisted of fresh turmeric, mango, peach, cucumber, and they were able to substitute kale instead of spinach. The $8 medium was a generous portion. It didn't look like much, but it tasted fabulous! A tiny bit medicinal/gritty/kick from the turmeric, lightly sweet peach flavor. And the ultimate compliment Not-Too-Sweet. The small to-go shop smells amazing and very healthy upon entering, like any space blending fruit, herbs, ginger, wheatgrass and veggies. Going to mention that they have an A grade on their window. There's a good amount of space to wait for your drink, I think a little ledge on the front window, but otherwise it's more of a to-go place and they're definitely busy! Five people that came in during my short wait (early afternoon). The 2 ladies were super nice, quick, fluent in at least Mandarin & English. It seems like they have a lot of regulars, from workers in the area, students, and of all different backgrounds. The shop is easy to miss and unassuming as it looks like any other generic smoothie or bubble tea shop, but I'm glad to discover it. Customers ordered almond butter smoothies, "Crunchy" (peanut butter, banana, granola, milk), Original Banana & Berries. The options are endless. They have ginger, turmeric, and wheatgrass shots also. A great find and I hope they're open for a long time, especially a good option for the nearby health workers, patients, families in the neighborhood.
