We were so happy to find this spot! We intended to spend a day a in NYC between flights in Manhattan, but shock...subway system went down and couldn't get over there. We wandered in the heat until coming across this quaint cafe. Many breakfast options and delicious coffees as well as fruit drinks. The nondairy chia pudding was phenomenal, they add berries and granola. Kids loved their bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. Oat milk latte hit the spot. And since we had to wander the city more before our flight we tried their slushies, which tasted like all real fruit without added sugar. Staff were super friendly as well. This place is ADORABLE. But blink and you'll miss it as the outside decor doesn't stand out too much. Make it inside and you've stepped into a funky cafe with a super fun menu that makes it hard to choose from. Three words: iced-sunset-tea Saw it on the menu with no description underneath. I must have been feeling lucky because I didn't even ask about it. I just ordered and and when I got what I actually ordered I was in awe. Not only was this iced tea stunning with a unique display of ombré purple into orange, it just tasted like a summer sunset. It was stunning. Sweet, but not too sweet. There are several seats where people can sit to work or chill with a friend, but it's not ginormous. The vibe is super chill and this was such a great find in LIC. The first time i got lentil soup when i opened the cup it looked a little bland . Do not let your eyes deceive you. That soup was delicious very flavorful. This time i ordered chicken noodle. Omg!! It felt like my Puerto Rican grandma made it lol the flavor, they use tri color pasta and wow it's amazing. The sandwich i ordered i forgot the fill name but it's the chicken with pesto. I love love this place for lunch and breakfast!!! They have really great prices at this location. Its pretty small so it more of a grab and go place. The coffee prices on specialty items are priced good. $5.25 for a pumpkin off menu spiced latte. I tried an item called the Thanksgiving sandwich. Make sure you ask for extra cranberry. I definitely will when I order them again. The sandwich has turkey, bacon, onions, cranberry, cheese, lettuce and tomato. So much flavor but it was a little dry due to a small amount of cranberry sauce. My go to for breakfast is their Sunnyside up eggs with cheese, bread, potatoes and tomatoes. I always ask for the cheese on the side so its not thrown on the eggs. Dipping the bread in eggs is so delicious. Pickup is super easy and everything is done in fifteen minutes or less. When I order for delivery its under 30 minutes. I order from them a lot so its nice knowing I will not bite into a shell, unlike other places in the area. read more

I ordered the Overnight Chia Seed with Mixed Berries which had a fresh and delish vanilla flavor topped with thinly chopped strawberries and blueberries. Had a doc appointment in the area and needed a quick bite and some caffeine. Found this place right outside the train station so major plus. The menu is pretty impressive for a spot this quaint. There were 2 other people dining in - bar stools and counter tops. The cashier asked for my vaxx status when i asked if I could dine in. I ordered an almond milk latte with an extra shot of espresso and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. It was a cold day but the shop was warm and the latte piping hot. They brought my food over and i enjoyed a quiet meal people watching a few days after Christmas. The shop was very clean and the coffee and bagel were great. Nice spot and great location! read more

Great cafe spot! Got a Bacon Cobb Salad for takeout from this place and thought it was pretty good. Also ordered the Chagaccino Latte from here once and thought it was good as well. I have been ordering (delivery) group work lunches from this cafe about twice a month for over a year now. I rarely write reviews on Yelp but I felt I had to for Beanstalk Cafe because the food has been so consistently great. All of their food is super fresh, tasty, and feels healthy. I especially like their salads (which have huge portions) and sandwiches - also their smoothies! My go to is the falafel burger or an avocado egg sandwich, although lately I've also been ordering their beet and pear salad. Often I have to order from here for clients who come in and they always mention how they are surprised by the food being so tasty and filling. Very rarely if the cafe has run out of a particular ingredient for a sandwich, they always include an extra pastry as an apology. The cafe is a treasure in the neighborhood and I'll be more than happy to continue to order from them in the future. read more

It can get a bit messy with the spicy Mayo leakage but worth it-I also love that there is SO much cilantro, something I love. I have lived in the neighborhood for 14 years, and this cafe is a great addition. I'm a huge fan of LIC's other amazing cafes, and I wondered what Beanstalk could offer me coffee-wise. Well their rose and lavender lattes are incredible. Perfect balance of floral and sweet so they don't go too far either way. And their blue lemonade is a lovely treat; I've only found Butterfly Pea Flower Tea at one other tea house. Eventually I will try other drinks, but I'm so hooked on those floral lattes, it will be awhile. My husband says they make a really nice breakfast sandwich. My only request - please add more gluten free options so I can try more of your menu. Also they are doing a great job keeping things safe during COVID19, with a large plexiglass barrier, staff in mask and gloves, hand sanitizer by the card machine, and separate bench where they bring your orders. Wow. I wasn't expecting such amazing food from this little cafe. They have a huge menu and I've only tried a few things which are consistently delicious. Most times we eat food like a chore but the sandwiches here make you stop and appreciate what you're eating. I always have the chicken avocado sandwich and it's always fresh, generous proportion and delicious!! One of the best grilled chicken sandwiches I've had. The soups are great too.
