A couple of notes that could have made this a 5 star experience for us (but maybe not for every Little Monster): We felt the white paper should have been changed out before each class, or at least daily, giving the kiddos a fresh canvas to witness their "art" coming alive and be part of creating that together. It also would have been great to include a very short intro for littles that had been there for the first time, modeling the painting, and getting them used to the sensory or maybe even color mixing... not taking away from the freedom and independence of the "class", but rather adding 5-10 minutes to dip their toes in the water. The experience was so fun and an adorable photo op, but would have wanted a bit more.

Not only did she refuse to apologize, she actually tried to blame me... This is not just unprofessional -- it's dangerous. If you care about your child's safety, stay far away from this place!!!

She was nice and helpful. They sell some coffee and snacks, but keep in mind is just Keurig coffee. Nothing fancy. They have a sitting area for taking a break and feeding your kids for snack time. That was nice but again, not clean. I don't think we'll be going back, but if you want to try it out, bring some snacks from home and wipes!

Lakeview Park is nestled in the back of the upscale Lakeview neighborhood in Delray Beach. The…read moredesirable neighborhood dates back to the early 1970's and mainly features large, single family homes. Lakeview Park is the neighborhood park for this community. Park amenities include a boat ramp, pavilion which can be rented, picnic pavilion, picnic table, playground, restroom, wand walking path. My favorite part of the park was the gorgeous view of Lake Ida, a popular spot for boating, fishing, and bird watching. The lake was named after the wife of Delray Beach's founder and was once a part of a huge farm. The area was later transformed into a park in the early 1970s. There are two other, much larger parks on Lake Ida, Lake Ida East Park and Lake Ida West Park. An interesting thing I noticed at Lakeview Park is that it had a number of new trees planted. This is the same thing I have been seeing at all of the parks in Delray Beach. The trees are part of the Delray Beach tree planting program which aims to put in 10,000 trees by 2025. To complete the goal the city entered into an agreement with Community Greening in 2022 funded by the Tree Trust Fund. Community Greening is an Urban Forestry nonprofit with the mission to increase South Florida's tree canopy. I love the work they are doing and it is great to learn more about them. If you want to get involved in planting more trees there is a list of events they need volunteers for on their website as well as a list of days they are giving away trees.

There is a big parking area and a boat launch with space for cars with trailers. The park has a big pavilion that can be reserved from the city (see the web page for info). From the lakeside, you can enjoy the birds, perhaps do some fishing, or watch over in the distance as the cars go northbound on I-95. I found it quite peaceful. It's one way in and one way out of the car lot. This park is more concrete than "park", although it is connected to a large open grassy field. The majority of the trees and bushes (greenery) are in the parking lot between the car rows. In addition, the John Trudel Community Center building with various programs is located right next to the park. The park is mainly two basketball courts and four pickleball courts. And they are blue painted pavement -- not green. We observed some kids getting lessons on the pickleball court and one older guy shooting baskets on one of the basketball courts. It's still a nice convenience for the locals in Lighthouse Point as it is located amidst the houses in a residential section of the city. I am glad we found it. But it's not the place you'd wish to go out of your way to visit unless you lived nearby.

I didn't purchase anything from concessions, but they also didn't have any prices listed which was annoying. I also thought the admission prices were kind of expensive. Almost $50 for my family of 4 (non residents).
