Another fantastic Morgantown coffee shop, I got a sausage egg and cheese from their build a sandwich board. The dark roast coffee was excellent, the service was spot on, and the inside had tons of unique West Virginia flair.

Food and drink choices are all made fresh! Great spot for studying or meeting up for conversation. Service is always quick!

Solid coffee shop in downtown. Maple latte is absolutely delicious. Love that for their lattes they give you the option of dark or light roast espresso.

We accidentally found this place when the other four places on our list we could not get into. The Grind was perfect for us. We ordered sandwiches and some drinks and everything was cooked great and tasted even better. I had an egg and bacon sandwich on a tomato basil bagel. My husband got a chicken salad sandwich. The food came out really fast too! It looked like the place to grab a drink sandwich and read on the weekend

5 stars all around. The coffee and the sandwiches. Came here for the reviews and the place did not disappoint. For coffee you have a choice between light and dark roast, in addition to hot or cold. Not only that but with how busy they were the even had the time to do some art with the frothed milk. The maple latte was BOMB. We got breakfast sandwiches on bagels and they were stacked and perfect cooked eggs with melted cheese right when you pull it apart. Not only that but they are affordable. Price to delight ratio is solid. Would absolutely be back here. This place is here to stay in Morgantown and is a must go for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday.

I highly recommend The Grind. Best vegan breakfast sandwich I've ever had. My wife had the Turkey Club and said it was the best too! The ambiance is eclectic and cool. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

I came here with my mama on the last day of my visit in Morgantown. One of my sisters said The Grind was her favorite place for coffee/espresso in town and she suggested the maple latte. I ordered an iced maple latte, half sweet and my mom ordered a coffee. The maple latte was amazing. I loved the flavors and I want to come back for another! To eat we each ordered something different, one on the Kaiser roll and the other on a bagel, and shared since they cut them in half. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Plus you can enjoy while you sit at the window and people watch. I used the bathroom and was pleasantly surprised by a "confessions box". My confession is that I looked at confessions in the box haha The Grind is great and I will be back.

The Grind, daily! This place is hidden in plain sight and of all the times I've been in WVU I've never been here or even seen it. Goes to show some of the best places are right in front of you...who knew! The grind has an amazing selection of coffee and great sandwiches for everyone taste. Me and my friend had gone here for a morning meeting and both has made our sandwiches (mine is below). I had an egg, ham, cheese, peppers between an everything bagel . It was so filling despite what seemed small (I like to eat). The Russian was the coffee that I had, which was a cold mixture of coffee and a maple syrup (literally best cold coffee I've ever flipping had!) This place is awesome and definitely a must go if you're in the area and want to grab some fire coffee and a great snack with friends. They have mask requirement and social distant seating so you can sit in! This place really impressed me and my friend and they've been around for over 20 years!!!! GOOOOO HERE

Was in town for New Student Orientation. Read the reviews and wanted to check this place out because it seemed like a legit coffee house. I ordered a cappuccino and bacon, egg and cheese bagel on a jalapeño bagel. My wife ordered a vanilla latte and a bacon, egg and cheese on a regular bagel. The coffee's were OUTSTANDING!!!! We like dark roast and boy did they nail it! In addition, the froth on the cappuccino was thick and creamy. Both my wife and I gave the coffee 10 stars! The bagels came out fresh and hot, I cannot say enough about how good the jalapeño bagel was. We stopped in later and asked the staff to make some frozen Frappuccino style drinks since it was hot out. While not on the menu, the young man behind the counter was more then accommodating. Once again, the coffee was excellent. This is hands down the best small coffee shop I've encountered from Maryland to WV! If you're in Morgantown, do yourself a favor a skip the chain coffee joint and go get you some coffee from The Grind!

Very good egg and cheese bagels. Friendly staff as well. For out-of-towers, you can get away with parking at WVU lots for a short time. :)

We visited Nonno Carlo tonight (4/24) with a group of six, and WOW - what an absolute gem!…read more Every single thing we ordered was incredible. The two wood-fired pizzas were perfection - crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also shared the meatball hoagie, meatballs with ricotta, antipasto salad, caprese salad, cucumber-tomato salad, Italian chicken salad sandwich, and the Italiano... and then there was the porchetta sandwich - hands down my new favorite sandwich in the universe. I'm still thinking about it. As if that wasn't enough, we finished with imported gelato (strawberry and caramel), and it was the perfect sweet ending. Beyond the amazing food, the two young ladies working the front were so kind, welcoming, and helpful - it really made the whole experience even better. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this amazing little market & café. We will 100% be back!

The group was mostly Italian-Americans, and Italian food is their "go-to" comfort food, especially during such a stressful period. Nonno Carlo, while a bit on the pricey side, did not disappoint with its high quality, abundant, and authentic Italian food. We also appreciated that its location was only about a 5-minute drive from the hospital. Food. (4.5/5). We ordered and shared: (1) The Ellis Island ($15.25), which is described by the restaurant as an Italian American classic sub that is a "sandwich so big you got to take a boat to get there!)" It features herbed aioli, provolone cheese, hot ham, pepperoni, vinegar peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic, piled high on a Mancini's hoagie roll. It was served with potato chips. (2) an Italiano sub ($15.50), which features mortadella, salami, soppressata, capocollo, provolone, and Calabrian pepper spread, served on focaccia. (3) an appetizer, Meatballs and Ricotta ($8.95). This was a favorite, with three DeMedici meatballs served over house-made ricotta. It was served with homemade bread, which was perfect for dipping. (4) Caprese Salad ($3) -- cherry tomatoes, house-made mozzarella, and basil, finished with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. (5) Cucumber-Tomato Salad ($2), with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and basil, finished with extra virgin olive oil and vinegar. (6) Dessert: 2 for $7 cannoli. (You could also order a single cannoli for $4). My rating is 4-stars rather than 5-stars for two small reasons -- (1) the subs were somewhat soggy by the time they reached us, from the vinegar/spreads on them, and (2) both salads were sour given the ratio of vinegar to olive oil in the dressings. I can't speak to ambiance or service, as this was take-out and someone else picked it up. I would eat in or order from here again.
