Service was subpar. I asked the lady at the counter how she was doing and didn't get a response. I said thank you multiple times while ordering and didn't get a response. Girlfriend asked a few questions about coffee and her responses were very vague and not helpful. Prices were also not transparent. Menu at front counter said breakfast sandwich for $6 with any bread and any toppings. That $6 is for just eggs... I got bacon and cheddar cheese on my sandwich and it came out to $9. Girlfriend's breakfast tacos said 2 for $8. She got sausage, American cheese, and peppers/onions. Those ended up coming to $12. Coffee was nothing special. We both asked for cream and sugar and both got black cold brews instead. Had to add our own cream and sugar (cream was empty on the side counter). There were a lot of people in there making it seem busy, but as we looked around we noticed most were on laptops working with just a coffee. Only a few people had food. One lady ordered a green drink, we watched her go back up to the counter and give it back. She stayed there and continued working on her laptop with no food/drink. This is a social media coffee shop. Loud music, seating like you would have in a living room with small tables, and a very California/hipster vibe. Food was ok. The full moon salad comes with a raspberry vinaigrette which is pretty sour and makes the fruit in the salad taste tart. I requested no goat cheese in mine. I prefer when the walnuts are halved, but most of the walnuts came whole. The produce in both salads were fresh and didn't have any wilt on them. I got a medium pistachio latte with oatmilk and was charged $7-8. Which was ridiculous. Will not be buying coffee here again. Service was sub par. They take along time to make coffees and food. We waited for 20+ minutes and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The staff were friendly but standoffish. Water is self served and they don't have ice readily available for your water. The ambiance inside is really cool. Every thing is new and updated. Kind of gives industrial/factory vibes. Food and coffee were def over priced. I used to really enjoy Stonetower but seems it has gone downhill. The last few times I have gone, the drinks have been hit or miss. Then I went for brunch during a somewhat slow time for how busy Stonetower usually is. I waited 30 minutes for a breakfast bowl that had a hair in it, onion skins, and gave me a few tiny avocado cubes and 3 half strips of bacon for essentially an up charge of $5-6 dollars. My husbands quesadilla had a chicken bone in it too. For two people to get a small latte, coke, quesadilla and breakfast bowl, it was about $45 dollars. Unfortunately, I am not willing to pay this price for lack luster customer service and poor quality food. I will say my apple butter oat latte was good. read more

Some of the best lattes in Morgantown! They always have an amazing seasonal menu of flavors. Spacious place, but always crowded! It can be impossible to get a spot at times. Staff is always very kind. This place deserves 5 stars for its drinks, but 3 for the food. Food is overpriced for the quality, and EVERYTHING is an add on. Here's the thing. I love the atmosphere of Stonetower Brews and supporting my local coffee shops but I think I have ran out of chances to give them. Honestly, their prices are so terribly expensive for the customer service you receive here. The baristas are honestly kinda rude and I even overheard a barista critiquing someone for what they had ordered after they left. I ordered a cold brew from here earlier this year and it tasted like it hadn't been diluted correctly? Their taco Tuesday is a good deal but you might as well block off your whole evening when you do order it because the kitchen is bound to mess your order up or just simply not have whatever you ordered. I think I have ordered their taco Tuesday maybe 4 times now and they have messed it up every time. Their service used to be so much better 2 years ago but these past experiences have made me not want to visit this place again. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Where to begin? The space is well-decorated and there is plenty of parking and seating. Beyond that, I really don't see the draw. We came on a Sunday evening and ordered 2 beers and 2 of the food specials on the menu board. The beers were fine, but the cashier asked three times which one we wanted. They did not seem familiar with the wording or numbers on the beer menu, which was odd for a place with so much on draft. We paid, left a high percentage tip at checkout before we actually received any service, because that's what you do, right? I get that it's a counter service place, but we always give the benefit of doubt. Could not have been more wrong. We sat at the bar and sipped beers and waited for food. The staff pointedly kept their backs to us and there was zero attempt to do anything besides drop our food off and leave. No, "how's your beer?" "Do you need anything else?" NOTHING. It was the strangest vibe, like we were annoying them by being there. Fine, whatever. The food arrives: pesto chicken lasagne and pulled pork tacos. The lasagne was lukewarm and cool in some places. The chicken in it was insanely dry. There was no cheese besides a meager amount of ricotta. The worst part was that it was very, very bland. Some salt and a little pepper would have made it edible. Was there any to be found? No. Could I make eye contact and politely ask a staff member for anything? Again, no. The tacos were very basic with dry, unmelted cheddar cheese on top and a handful of grocery store tortilla chips and cold cheese sauce on the side. It was pitiful. The worst part? This "dinner food" cost more than lunch at a sit-down restaurant earlier in the day that was delicious. The proverbial icing on the cake was deciding I wanted a latte to go before leaving. Since the staff was giving off super weird, avoidant vibes, I downloaded the app and figured I'd just order and pay that way and wait for it to be made while finishing my beer. This was at 6:14, and the pickup time for my order was 6:42. They were not busy. It was over an hour before closing. There was no reason it should take that long. I didn't complete the app order and figured I'd suck it up and go to the counter. Nope: denied! They have a super strange system where people can stand at the ONE checkout spot and sample tiny beer before they order. Effectively blocking anyone else from actually ordering and paying for things. Meanwhile, cleared my own dishes and silverware to the waste bins. A Super weird place with below average food, high prices, and very bad service. Will not ever go back. read more

I went there to take some photos and do some editing while enjoying a cup or two, well, maybe three, of coffee/tea. The staff were outstanding and friendly, which is sort of refreshing in a college town where "What do you want?" seems to be the norm now. The gentleman who served me was personable and quite helpful, kudos to him! The coffee was very good, although on the pricy side, and it gave me the boost I needed on a Tuesday morning. The place itself was very nice, had a good assortment of seating, and a view of St. Mary's church on the other side of the street. I will be back, as I had a great time and relaxed a bit while doing some work on my hobbies. I recommend it to anyone!!! read more

This place is adequate. In my opinion it's too expensive for the quality of food that you're served. I have gone here and ordered 2 small specialty drinks and it was $16 without tip. I would expect if I am paying that much that they would make some of their syrups in house- but it's only store bought syrup. The queso tastes like Velveeta, the English muffins are just like the ones you'd buy from the store, and their pastries are usually dry or not prepared properly for what they are. Overall, it is an adequate place, but it seems they are really trying to maximize on their margins and not buying quality ingredients for the prices they want people to pay. There are other places in town that are the same price, if not slightly cheaper, that make most things from scratch. read more

Pros: The location is great for this area. The available free parking with an additional gravel lot is also a plus. The comfort and ambiance of this place is great, it's not a "college" vibe, which is great since this town is a "college town" that often forgets there is a large "young working professionals" presence. Service seems to be all young college kids - but they are nice. Cons: I have been here 4 times now and each time my coffees, (I have gotten different ones each time) have tasted bland with no real flavor other than milk. The food is decent, I only get the breakfast sandwich, and the it's a sloppily put together with each ingredient (egg/meat) being a different size which makes holding it awkward. Lastly, they blast the music starting around 4pm. It is way too loud and this is supposed to be a relaxed place to hangout and pull out a computer to do work. Not for those on a schedule. I heard good things and decided to try it for lunch during the week. Arrived just before noon and had trouble finding a seat. After waiting for just a few minutes, one opened up. Regarding the food, I was served two chicken tacos with a side of chips, which tasted great. Even though it wasn't what I ordered, it had taken so long I decided to keep it. The person I was with, was also given the wrong order, has a gluten allergy, and so the entire thing had to be sent back. So they got both orders wrong - although what we ate was good. Seating is a variety - small tables, a few booths, several couches and armchairs, and also some high top tables. I counted 10 tables that had people working or studying at them. One of the tables that was occupied when I first came in, the girl was there an hour and a half later occupying the table still. It took us a really long time to get our food, probably at least 45 minutes, and we did have to clean the table ourselves which was covered in crumbs and food. There was nobody cleaning tables. I did try again on Sunday to return to give it another shot, but even though there wasn't a long line, the chalkboard at the counter said it would take 60 minutes to get your food, so we left. I probably won't be back, just because if I'm going out for a meal, I'm not going to sit and study for several hours. If that is your thing, then this might be OK for you. Not a good choice for a business lunch or a quick bite. read more

I have ordered through the mobile app twice now and both times the order was 20 minutes later than the scheduled time for pick up. The staff members are either extremely busy or have their back turned to you so it's hard to ask anyone on what's going on. This place is so cool! It's like a Starbucks with beer and a relaxed atmosphere! It's very comfortable and the staff is super helpful. The Blonde on Blonde coffee beer is incredible! There's no bad drinks here. Chase it a Nutty Irishman and it's a perfect after dinner stop. I highly recommend this place! I'll definitely be back here. 5 Stars all the way! read more
