HIGHLANDS: under new ownership for the last couple of years and newly remodeled, The Groom Room is located in the business district of town. Brie had a nice appointment with long-time groomer, Chris. We warned Chris about Brie's sassiness when it comes to grooming and Chris handled her like a champ. Brie came out perfectly soft and fluffy, smelling amazing from their high-end products, and her problem areas taken care of [overgrown fur on face (especially near the eyes), paws, and tushy]. Heather is also available for grooming appointments and groomed a Brie-look-alike just the other day! Something we have never heard of, but this place does, is cat grooming! So, if they can handle Brie's sassiness, they can handle a cat's sassiness too. :) We also liked that Brie wasn't waiting around for hours in a cage. You make an appointment and then drop off at your scheduled time, and pick them up in under 60-90 minutes (depending on breed). This is just enough time to grab a meal or walk to the water and enjoy the beautiful bay views! Let The Groom Room know we recommended you! They do a wonderful job grooming my Cavalier. Christine is the best groomer. All the dogs love her.

Do not take your pets here! I took my dogs for a bath, hair cut, and nail trim. I wound up with a hack job. He is a Pomeranian husky and typically has a beautiful long coat. His cut is so uneven you can still see lines from the buzzer, not to mention they cut him. I asked they leave his tail, and he wound up a lion. You can see this poor boys pink skin, his fur is so short and we're in below freezing temps. read more

AMAZING experience yesterday with our dog Joie at the Groom Room. The staff was extremely helpful in calming our nervous dog and in talking through what we could do with her fur for her grooming session. the employee we spoke with sat on the floor with my husband and I to describe what she suggests for Joie's summer cut based on her fur type. might I add that Joie is a complete mutt (probably sheltie and Aussie mix) so her honesty in explaining that trimming Joie's fur on her back might cause the fur to not grow in the same and that she thought the best option to keep her fur lush and keep her comfortable for the summer is a belly fur trim, trim around the face and arms, and sanitary trim, but keep everything else pretty long. Joie came out looking beautiful with her summer cut. we really appreciated the knowledgeable and extremely caring staff at the Groom Room. THANKS AGAIN!! read more

Tried this place out twice now due to my usual groomer getting too busy and feeling staff were hurrying and not listening. I'm happy with the service. It's amazing - they get my Yorkie in and out within a hour. They grind his nails which they say he is better with than the clipper. Good job! read more
