There's no chance I'd be able to do this on a regular bike. 2.5 months ago, I decided to buy an e-bike. The hills around here were just killing me on my regular bike. I don't really know anything about bikes, and I don't care to know. I'm happy to just ride them and not know how they work. But for such a large purchase, I decided to do a deep-dive analysis. I made a spreadsheet, researched what features would be important, and ranked all bikes against these categories. When I went into Phat Tire, though, I'm sure it was clear I had no clue what I was talking about. I had 100 questions about why certain features were important and what about this and what about that? They were so patient, friendly, and helpful. They took the time to explain the answers to all my crazy questions. They even walked me over to the map on the wall and showed me better routes I could take. They up-sold me on a mirror and a saddle bag. I didn't even know I needed these things, but I really treasure having them now that I've used them. I'm sure me spending a lot of money helped, but they also seem to get very busy here. I get the sense that some of the negative reviews here are hitting this issue. You may go in sometimes, and they'll have a line of people. But they don't rush through people and do a poor job just because others are waiting. They make sure everyone is happy before they move on. They spend time with people, and they take the time to do a good job. I appreciate that, and I appreciate Phat Tire.
