I had a great experience. Bike was tuned and ready to go. It was nice to have the ability to ride out straight from the rental shop.

A friend of mine and myself rented bikes from this place and wish that I hadn't. The bikes were dirty when we picked them up and that should have been an indication of things to come but we were excited to hit the trails. We paid extra for premium e-bikes and they were trash, the first day the front chainring came off my friends bike and that caused the chain to break, we had to wait for the shop to come out and fix it. Both bikes had bald tires that made riding very sketchy and dangerous. On the second day I got a flat and I am glad we had a spare tube with us because all the sealant was dried up. Also the motors kept overheating and we had to constantly stop. And don't even ask about the noise the bikes made, lube and check the bearings, it was absolutely a horrible riding experience. When we returned the bikes I was supposedly given a $160 refund that never showed back up on my card. When I told them about the tires they didn't care and just put the bikes back for the next sucker to rent, people are going to get hurt from these heaps. Do yourself a favor and find another company to rent from! read more

I stopped in to ask for a bike tire repair and general bike maintenance. He said I would have to make an appointment. I get it. I asked if I could just leave the bike until they could get to it because it was in my vehicle. Instead of saying no his reply was " Not my problem " there was no reason for a response like that. I'm sure he saw the look on my face. Then he tried to explain. Man I understand the why. I don't understand such a dickhead response to a simple question. Screw them. UODATE. I recently rented an IBIS OSO and GIANT Trance from Mojo Bikes. I reserved an IBIS OSO Medium in August. I recently flew in to meet friends for a week of riding in Bentonville! I arrived on a Wednesday and was informed that the Medium IBIS Oso had been broken for a while and was unavailable, but I could rent a Large. The large was too big, but I really had no choice, so I rented and rode it anyway. We had a good ride, but I was "chasing the bike" all day as it was really way too big. It came with a flat tire too. I managed to rent a TREK Rail from Phat Tire bikes for Thursday and Friday, which was incredibly fun! I really enjoyed the TREK Rail. The TREK Rail was not available for Saturday and Sunday, so I rented a GIANT Trance from Mojo Bikes for Saturday and Sunday. The GIANT Trance was complete garbage to ride. Super harsh suspension, very limited range, didn't like the motor. Actually absolutely hated riding the bike. It was so bad, I quit early. I took it back Saturday and didn't ride Sunday. Mojo bike personal were nice and said they would pro-rate refund to my Visa for the days I didn't ride. I asked them to please consider giving me some sort of credit on the wrong size IBIS OSO and the awful GIANT Trance. I also suggested they should have really called the customers who had scheduled to rent the medium IBIS Oso once they knew it was terminally broken, as they'd known it was broken for quite a long time, so the people who had scheduled and paid could make other arrangements. He said he would talk to his boss. I waited the 10 days to see if the refund cleared my Visa? It had not, so I called to check. They didn't issue a refund. He said he would do a refund right then though. But again he didn't. I contacted Mojo Bike's management. What I got was a snotty email back indicating they were not going to give me any refund at all. So, they promised to give me a prorated refund, but did not. Then they promised again and did not. The bikes were terrible. The management are assholes. Don't rent from this shop! Rent from Phat Tire, in Bentonville, those guys are great! read more

We traveled from our own mtn bike paradise in Colorado to ride bikes in Bentonville. All of us very competent mtn bike riders. We were unable to bring our own bikes this time so thought rentals would be fun. We picked up our bikes and headed to the trails which the guys said would be mostly open after the recent tornados. Pulled the bikes out of the truck to find one had a rear flat and the front was poorly inflated. Back to the shop where they did no inspection but inflated the tires and sent us back out. Back to the trails we pulled all the bikes off the truck to find one of them had no water bottle cage. It's 88 degrees outside! Ok we figured it out. Not 10 minutes into the ride the top bolt of water bottle falls off a different bike, luckily at slow speed, and gets caught in the riders crank. Saved it! No crash. Now 2 of 4 bikes have no water bottle cage. We figure it out. Trails open? Not really. Packed up and found different trails for day 2 try. 2 hours into our ride guess what? Same rear tire goes flat. We pull it off and surprise! No sealant in there. It's completely dried up. Come on fellas. We came to ride and had both days cut short due to carelessness. We kindly let them know our experience upon return and was told the manager would call. Nope. No word. So here is your 1 star review. Shoot. read more

Not SAFE! Do not rent from here if you can avoid it. Absolutely worst bike rental experience our group has ever had. Here are the problems: 1. Upon arrival they could not find our reservation in the system, and our group (not the shop) found our bikes by wandering around the shop and looking at the tickets. 2. This is when we found out that one of the bikes we reserved had been broken by the previous renter. Since we were traveling in from out of state I was not checking my email, and they did not leave a voicemail when they tried to reach us the day before so we had no knowledge of this until we showed up. Good customer service would have been to arrange a rental for us at a different shop or to let us use a bike from your sales shop. The response was apathy, and that it was our problem to solve. 3. Terrible customer service. They did not check the sag on the other 3 bikes and didn't offer any guidance on where to trail or trail conditions. 4. One tire was flat, and the others were over pressurized (~40 psi.) 5. We had to return to the shop because we were not given chargers for the e-bikes. 6. SAFETY ISSUE #1 - the brake pads fell out on one of the bikes as soon as we started riding. So back to the shop we went again. 7. SAFETY ISSUE #2 - the batteries on the e-bikes did not last for 20 miles on setting 3. Luckily we were not at a point in the ride where we needed to push the bike far to the road. 8. Upon return the shop personnel gave us the same apathetic attitude about the battery not lasting, and said "that is a known problem that those batteries just kind of die." That was not shared with us prior to the ride and those bikes should not be rented if they have a known problem. read more

Twice now I've been to Bentonville and had some minor mechanical issues with my bike. They were able to get right to me both times and back on the trails which means a lot having limited time there. Great shop, excellent service, and good selection of anything you might need. read more

Walk-in rental policy is a joke. Book on line or be prepared for the staff to force a 90 minute wait on you. No leniency or grey space within the policy. Bike was good to go, but because I might keep it longer rather than just being honest with the borrowed timeline. Rental staff are unkind and untrained in empathic retail practices. Best bike shop in Bentonville! We checked out a lot of them while enjoying all the biking in the area. They had a great selection of clothes, gear, and accessories that we couldn't find at other shops. Helpful staff and we even had a part that we needed to return. Rented a Canfield full suspension mtb for $130/day. Seemed a bit pricey but was well maintained and came with a tube, which I needed. Bentonville trails don't have much elevation so an eMTB may be a good option for the sprints between jumps. Unless of course you are a great young sprinter - which I am not. Its an enormous bike park!! Fun for everyone and all levels all riding together. read more

Rental staff was friendly but bikes were full of issues. First bike I rented had a dropper post that wouldn't stay up within the first 2 miles of riding. Later that morning, I hit a small (12-14") drop and the frame cracked at the seat tube. When I brought the bike back to the shop, the rental staff assured me that this was likely something that would be covered by Giant if not a crash replacement. I did not get the crash protection coverage with my rental, definitely something I will be doing in the future. They set me up with a second bike which also had a broken dropper post when I left the shop so they had to replace the cable and housing before I even made it out of the parking lot. The shop then called me in the afternoon stating that my cracked frame was going to cost me $2,600. I was pretty surprised at this fact considering the rental staff had told me earlier that I would not be paying for a new frame. Farren, the maintenance supervisor, was very courteous to me over the phone and apologetic for the miscommunication, however, that did not change the fact that I was told two different stories and was now on the hook for almost $3k for the front triangle of a bike that retails for $3k completely built. When I was offered the opportunity to speak to the owner, Dave, I took it so that he could have the chance to explain to me why I was spending so much on an aluminum front triangle. I was blown away at how aggressive and unprofessionally Dave conducted himself. After I was told to come in and talk to him before he left at 5pm on a Friday (when his shop is open until 6), I walked in and asked for him and his employee told me he wasn't there. After laughing, the employee pointed to him as he walked past me and sat down on his wooden couch and put his feet up on the coffee table. When I asked why we wouldn't pursue a crash replacement from Giant (which was suggested by his rental staff earlier) he started by raising his voice at me and shouting that this is "how he feeds his family!" After since doing some research, I believe Giant does not do crash replacements for non-carbon frames but he didn't bring any of that up, nor did he show me any quotes or paperwork for how much the frame was. He clearly has some issues and feels it appropriate to take it out on paying customers. Long story short, I ended up walking out $3600 later with the whole bike and the hopes of parting it out to recoup some of my costs. Blown away with the lack of respect for paying customers by the owner and disappointed that he would represent his business in such a negative way. With so many bike shops popping up in Bentonville, it will be an easy choice to avoid them in the future for rentals or sales read more

I first called on the phone to see what they would charge for a bike check over, on the phone the service writer was friendly and let me know that he could do it on the spot and free of charge. I ended up bringing my bike in and he got to the bike right away, it took him a short amount of time to check over the bike. Rental staff were friendly but it didn't make up for the fact that my e bike quit working 4 miles into the ride. We had to ride it back uphill and it was very difficult. When we got there they were closed for an hour from 1-2pm so we waited in the parking lot for their return. Upon returning from their lunch there was along line of ppl waiting to return bikes. It took another hour to check our bikes back in! Not only were they un empathetic to the fact that the e bike malfunction ended our 4 hour rental 2 hours early, but they also charged us for the wire that was "kinked" causing the device to malfunction, an additional $90 on top of the 4 hour rental rate of $80! We were also given a hose with no pressure to go out back and wash off our bikes or be charged $30 additional to clean them. They clearly don't care about the guest experience, only how much extra money they can get out if you and how much time they can waste if yours. Won't ever rent here again. read more

I've always had a good experience at Mojo. I have brought in my bike a couple of times for repair and they have always been very helpful. They always seem to get you in as quickly as possible given the busy nature of most bike shops around Bentonville. Recently I had an issue with my rear wheel and brought it in and they looked at it and immediately found a loose hub that they were able to tighten on the spot at no charge! I am so very excited to have purchased my newest road bike here yesterday. Shop to shop, there isn't a vast difference on pricing, but there is a vast difference on service. This is one of the only places that, if you go in, you don't feel you are being looked down on if you do not have a $6,000 bike. This is a shop for real people who enjoy riding, clear to the racing enthusiast. Their price range for new road bikes go anywhere from $699 and up. I was able to get a great Felt Road Bike with Carbon Fork and Post for $999 and I love it. I test road it before buying it and fell in love. He did the custom fitting right there without me having to make another appointment. Just like the bigger stores, you get a lifetime guarantee on the frame and lifetime adjustments. I have always been a proponent for supporting the local small business guys that are competing against the "big box stores". This is a great guy and a great store. Previously I had taken my bike to another bike shop in downtown bentonville and after spending over $500 my bike was still not shifting well. Also they left my speedometer off my handler bars. So I brought it mojos and they determined that the front derailleur needed to be replaced also. I don't know why bike shops don't test there work and make sure it's fixed. Well Mojo's, Luke, fixed my bike right the first time and it's better than new!!!! read more

I took my bike here with my brother a few weeks ago for tune ups and really liked the attitude of the people working here. I'm a novice to riding and asked about the trails and good places to get started and was offered some great advice and locations for green trails. I also needed 2 replacement parts for my bike rack and they gave me 5 replacement parts FREE and wouldn't take my money when I offered it. Originally viewed Mojo's rental page on my phone and later completed the reservation on a computer. During the reservation process I saw that they had rental insurance coverage but did not see any details. When my wife picked up the bike, workers did mention the rental policy saying that would be covered fully up to 500 dollars, after which there was more liability involved but that going over the 500 limit essentially never happens so there was nothing to worry about. My wife wrongly assumed I knew this already. Upon returning to mojo cycling we were told we owed them 2000 dollars. They claimed we put a gash in the carbon fiber frame that was too big to safely rent out to future customers. I was confused since I had purchased the insurance policy. They told me it only covered the first 500 dollars and then I was liable for the full value of the bike. They would save me some money by stripping the bike for parts and selling those separately. During my time of renting various products I have never encountered such a rental policy. It was like renting a car with the extra insurance option and then only having 5000 dollar covered and you now owe them 20,000 dollars. It was bizarre. When I stated that charging for an insurance policy that only covers 500 dollar is covering nothing, one worker retorted with "500 dollars isn't nothing." I corrected him by pointing out that covering 500 dollars of a 4000-5000 dollar bike that I now owed 2000 dollars for is not essentially nothing. The workers also suggested that I could buy the bike from them to keep for myself or sell myself to try to recoup the cost. This seemed inappropriate to me. If the bike wasn't safe enough to continue to rent out why were they suggesting that I keep the bike to ride myself, have my wife continue to ride, or sell to someone else to ride? It made me question the severity of the scratch/gash in the frame. Ultimately, I was so confused how I could have missed the rental insurance details if the workers were in fact telling me the truth about them. I considered all of my options in the moment and since I didn't want any legal troubles and my wife was sobbing in the car I decided to pay the 2000 dollars, get out, and try to figure out what happened later. Later on my cell phone I went back to mojo's rental page. There was a mention of an insurance policy with a note to scroll down the page. At the bottom of the page there is a cartoon picture with a man, a bike on a stand, and the words "damage insurance protection". I clicked on it with my finger and nothing happened. I pulled the site up on a computer. Scrolled to the bottom of the page. Still nothing. I moved my mouse over the image to click on it. That's when a mouseover effect showed text and there was the insurance policy. I realized then what happened was I researched the rentals available on mojo's website using my cell phone and wouldn't have been able to see the fine print. Even though I completed the reservation later on a computer I had already done my research using my phone and just needed to complete the transaction. This type of website design is called "Dark Patterns" (web search the term). My initial thought was to blame whatever web design company built this website for mojo cycling, but upon reading through the client-side code of Mojo's website it appears that no web design company took credit for the website and that it was created using Wix's. So, my assumption now is that the owners of Mojo cycling designed the rental page this way, but I do not know that for certain. So, in conclusion I would recommend anyone considering renting from Mojo cycling be sure to read and understand the rental policy that is at the bottom of their rental page and know that you must hover over the picture with your mouse on a pc. read more
