Hot Stone Massage Therapy: This type of massage involves the therapist using heated, smoothed, flat Basalt stones which are placed on key points of the body. The stones are also used as the therapist holds them in their hands during the massage itself to help rejuvenate and relax the tissues quicker. The stones are immersed in water and heated in an electric heating device until they are within 127 to 135 degrees. Basalt stones are usually the size of a large egg, and are rich in iron, therefore they can retain the heat for longer periods of time. 3. Myofascial Release Treatment: A safe and highly effective manual therapy that involves applying slow, sustained pressure to help release tension in the fascial layers using little to no lotion.
