They carried a ton of adorable vintage Christmas decor. The shop was crowded and people were walking around with their treasures. The excitement was contagious. I found a little vintage Santa to purchase. The shop is large and separated into booths. Prices are reasonable. The checkout line was long but people were friendly. We found street parking a block north and walked. I'll be back, for sure.

During this event there are participating shops and you are given a card to have stamped at each vendor and then you are entered in a drawing for gift baskets and cards once you have visited 10 shops. This shop has very nice decor items and furniture. They also had some clothing. I did not buy anything from this shop this time but I will still make a future visit to see what new items they come up with.

There is public and street parking close to Blackbird Nest and the other shops I wanted to visit. As I entered Blackbird Nest I received a pleasant greeting. The Blackbird Nest specializes in redesigned modern, antique and vintage furniture along with home decor, lamps, new clothing, bath and body products, prints, florals and wreaths plus holiday decor. The shop has several smaller rooms with various items incorporated throughout but items are organized well and prices are clearly marked. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in. If you're in Franklin make time to visit Blackbird Nest. Terrific location for gifts, clothing and unique furniture.

Walking in to the shop you immediately got the holiday vibe. Most of the shop was dedicated to Christmas and it was do much fun checking out all of the holiday ornaments and the decor. I really loved the tall Christmas trees made out of old doors, people are ingenious. There were snow globes and mittens and so many fun things here.

This…read moreshop may have been the smallest shop I stopped in our this day but it was so clean and well organized. They did not crowd the items in the shop so it was very easy to shop in there. It did seem a little more pricey than some of the others on Jefferson Street but the items all looked too be of good quality. I still found something that I wanted in the shop. I get hot easy and I love the little hand fans that fold down and you can carry on your purse. They are not that easy to find for some reason. At least the good quality metal ones not plastic. They also had a nice wooden one. I look forward to seeing what they have in their shop next year.

I loved it! If you have a mid century modern soul like mine, then you should definitely stop in here. Very organized and everything was clearly marked. I loved all the things! I visited as part of a special Christmas open house sponsored by the downtown merchants. So, of course, the small shop was filled with interesting Christmas items such as vintage blow molds and ornaments. The clerk was friendly in this independently owned shop. The prices were on the high side, so I reluctantly left empty handed. I parked on about a block north and walked as there was no nearby parking.

I picked a nice old 12 pane window in this shop about 2 years ago. I like digging through the treasures to be had here. This is not a huge shop but still fun. This time I found a small bundle of old recipes and newspaper clippings. It was do much fun digging through them when I got home! Some recipes I will try and some there was absolutely no way I would try lol. The gal that runs this shop is always so friendly and seems to get joy from speaking to every person who comes in. I will stop in this shop every year during the holidays.
