He then went through their other classes - 2-year old, 3-day, and PreK. He is now doing great in Kindergarten and loves school and I feel that the Co-Op is a big reason why. My three-year old now goes to the Tuesday/Thursday class from 9 to 11 am and his teachers are wonderful - patient and caring and they are so dedicated to helping the kids participate in a lot of fun and educational activities. My 15-month old will start soon with the parent-tot class also. It is so fun to watch the little ones interact with each other and explore the activities and toys in the room. Since it is a Co-Op, you have the opportunity to participate in your child's education by being the third grown-up in the classroom once every 6 to 8 weeks. (Except for parent-tot where you stay each week.) If you work or otherwise are not able to be in the classroom, there is an option that the school can provide an aide. (Just costs a little bit more.) All of the staff are very special and so great with the kids! (And they often have good parenting advice too!)

The teachers there are wonderful and so caring and it really shows with the kids. I came in at lunch to nurse my son for a while when he first went back and I would see him before he could see me and he was SO happy. The teachers there spend lots of time with the kids and really encourage a lot of activities. We looked at a lot of places and what stood out to us is that this place really encourages kids to be kids and to learn through play. A lot of the other places were structured and while that can be a good thing in small doses, I was the one going back to work and not my son. I also LOVE the fact that there isn't much technology there. If you check it out you will see that the teachers are playing with the kids or interacting with them, not on an iPad to send the hourly updates. Kids are encouraged to play and imagine for activities and it really shows when you walk around because the kids are all having fun and playing but all are very respectful. Even my parents mentioned how happy the kids all were and how much fun they were having when they picked up my son. I also like how it is independent. Decisions can be made without red tape. Miss Jeannine and Miss Nancy have always been so responsive and encouraging. I love that I can talk to them and they are always warm and welcoming. They also know every single child and parent there. I've gone to them for advice or to ask how things are going and they always have time for me. You just can't get that at many other places. It also works well for the bigger kids because they can organize fun activities for the kids and don't have to clear it with corporate in NJ or TX or wherever. The activities they do are so fun for the kids and so rewarding. To anyone looking for a daycare I cannot recommend this place enough. Take a tour and pay attention to the teachers and how much they care. Watch them as they play and interact with the kids. That's what sold us when I looked at it and they have exceeded my expectations. It is scary to think about sending your baby to daycare, but it makes it a lot easier to know you are handing him over to people that care for your guy or girl and they will be having fun with friends.

Our son was one of the very first students at TGS Yorktown nearly one year ago and started in the infant classroom. The staff has always been extremely communicative, caring and understanding. The updates and photos throughout the day allow us to rest assured knowing our child is in a wonderful and fun learning environment. As he transitioned to eating solids, gained more independence in his motor skills, and began talking, the teaching staff has consistently provided incredible care and paid close attention to his developmental milestones. However, we were not notified of any injury at the time it occurred or when we picked him up. To this day (weeks later) MAGE has been unable to tell us how or when our son was injured that day. Due to our son's age, he was unable to articulate what happened, but it is obviously unlikely he did this to himself. Due to the lack of information provided by MAGE, the pediatric doctor requested x-rays to eliminate the possibility of a broken bone. After x-rays revealed no broken bones, his arm was adjusted back into place. We were asking for 100% reimbursement of the $530 for the x-rays which was our out-of-pocket after insurance, and MAGE denied our request. We are very dissatisfied with how this was handled.

It stinks that I can't be with my son all day, every day, but I never question his safety and security when he is in KA's care. Highly recomend KA of OBT!

The group is fabulous and takes advantage of their location to downtown Lombard. My little one just started school with her older siblings and was so well prepared and eager to be off to a "big school" after her year at Creative Day.
