After 10 minutes of looking at work out gear I head to the washroom. As I'm walking up to the gents I hear a "need a key", I look around and see 2 supervisors standing bitching about a customer. The guy looks at me again and says "yeah BUD, you need a KEY!" I respond "thanks where do I find the..." I get completely cut off as he, without looking at me says "pro shop" (clearly very annoyed)! At this point I've already decided that I will NEVER set foot in this retail outlet again. I use the washroom and return the key. As I'm walking out I say to said Snot "have a good day" to which she loudly responds..... "YIP"! Holy Shit!? As I sit in the parking lot writing this I'm still in shock at how I was treated! Only thing I've bought there was a Jays Tshirt. Always shopping in season for gear for hockey soccer and baseball. Needed hockey pucks once, out of stock. Soccer shin guards? Out of stock. Went in today, looking for practice baseballs. Would've accepted any baseball. No staff came to help until I signalled for one, despite having three employees standing around chatting on the floor. Asked if they had baseballs. The woman who was working motioned to a tiny basket of softballs on the floor and said that's all they have. Didn't seen very interested in the customer, even though I was the only customer in the shop. The management is routinely rude to customers, and the staff generally seem to just not care. I'm never wasting my time walking there again. I'll just drive to sport check in London next time.

So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.
