This review is looong overdue. I had a really bad pending DUI that I had pending. So, I was told by wise man never go to court without a professional by your side. So, after hours of looking around pricing and reading multiple reviews I came across H Law Group. I liked the fact that Nima was an Ex Prosecutor. Why not hire someone that's been on the other side? I called in and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I told them my situation and they gave me a quote. The nice thing is that at the time of having to take care of the court case, I did not have the money to pay the retainer fee upfront. Luckily for me I was able to make payments in order to retain their services. Once I retained H Law everything was done through a customer portal that keeps you updated on what is going on with your case. I was a very low touch customer. I followed their instructions and answered all their questions. They showed up to court for me, which was HUGE since I work full time. This whole-time communication was done through their customer portal. A few months later I get to meet with Nima. Needless to say that my DUI situation that would have been a really bad. Nima, made the DA reduce all the charges. Nima is well respected in the court system and will absolutely get you the best results. From my experience, they are just a subcontracting firm. Basically, you pay them an X amount and they hire someone else outside the firm to represent you. They expect you to communicate through an email portal. You can never contact your attorney directly. That is their system. You end talking to an email portal about your case. You end up talking to a case manager who is NOT an attorney and without a law degree. Imagine talking about your case to some receptionist. That's how it felt like. Why was I even in that position? Who knows. I've spoken with other intake secretaries and they would tell me upfront, they are not qualified to advise me about my case and to talk to the attorney. H Law does not do this at all. They try to answer questions they are not qualified to answer. And, there's more. They do not brief you about your upcoming hearings. They do not reach out to you all unless it's just to tell you a court date. Unfortunately, I've spoken to other law offices and they told me without even explaining my own experience that H Law is very unhelpful. Another law office told me they're just good at marketing because he's never seen any of these people in court. I don't normally write reviews but I feel personally scammed from $5,000 from this law firm. I got a DUI in 2019, moved out of state during covid so I let the lawyers go to every court date without me. They pawned me off to several different people within the firm and everyone had something different to say to me, wrong dates/times, having to ask to be updated after a court date, calling with no responses. In the end I could have used a public defender and got the same result. I thought based on the reviews on yelp that they were a good firm, but once your case drags out and they have their money they really don't care after that. read more

Almost 4 years ago I made the stupid decision to get behind the wheel of my car and drive. To say I was stressed was an understatement. The shock of the accident (crashed my car into a building, genius right), the whole ordeal of everything that happened during and after the field sobriety test, definitely not something I would want to relive or go through again. First thing I did after being released from jail was look up an attorney. After a bit of research and making a list of potential attorneys to contact, I realized that the first firm I found was the one that sounded the most reliable and I was right on going with Nima and his associates. They were all godsends, I'm not even exaggerating. They were on top of every single thing on the portal they use to communicate with. I had a feeling that I was gonna get convicted with a DUI one way or another with the way things happened for me that night, but Nima and the firm got my time reduced for the AA meetings and DUI classes I had to take as well as getting no time served. After finishing 3 years of probation, they helped me process my paperwork to file to the court to petition for an expungement and that alone was such an easy thing to do because they helped with all of that too. I am currently a client and it's the worst decision I ever made. I would give a negative star if I could. I had a dmv hearing last month and the lawyer called me 3 minutes before the hearing after I called the office to tell them I wanted to be present at the hearing. I've told them I wanted to be present at EVERY hearing, court appearances...etc from the start. They don't attempt to brief you at all!!! I've never had a conversation with an attorney still. I've only talked to the one paralegal in which Chloe haven't been helpful at all. She sends documents and when I call in for advice she asks what don't you understand or we don't know your financial situation for us to tell you what to do. Keep in mind she's NOT an attorney!!! I have asked for them to suspend work for my case and a refund me but no one has responded as of yet. It was explained to me that I'm in titled to a refund for malpractice due to the fact that they didn't submit information to the dmv that I gave them regarding my medical conditions along with subpoena the arresting officer which would've helped my dmv hearing. I'm trying to work with another lawyer to fix this mess. When I was looking to retain a lawyer the H Law group came off super concerned and helpful but they are not at all concerned about you after you start paying them. The best lawyers and paralegal team you could imagine having when facing a DUI charge. My story is pretty much the same, went out had a some drinks nothing crazy, ended up getting stopped after driving one block because of my headlights. I opted for blood and got a BAC level of .12%. Aside from that, let's talk about the firm and if I can offer a peace of mind. First off, Nima called me after 20 minutes of me asking for a lawyer. Every other lawyer wanted $500 to just have a 15 minute conversation. Nima simply asked about my story, told me his rate (VERY REASONABLE AND AFFORDABLE) and I got this comforting sense once I finished my conversation. Shortly after the paperwork, you get set up on this client portal that is simple, effective and user friendly. I was given two staff members, two paralegals and Nima. i had always been afraid of getting arrested and I never thought a minor rear ending on the freeway is what would lead to it. I had around 3 beers and I decided that driving home wouldn't be too big of an issue. If you're reading this then you've probably just gotten a DUI. So here, this is my honest and unsolicited review of this place. Bear with me through the TLDR review, it'll be worth it. Background: When I was under 21, I got my first DUI which I got down to a wet reckless. A few years later, I went to sleep in my vehicle (parked perfectly fine, vehicle off, except the keys were in the ignition, making it a DUI). I got that down to a drunk in public, both times with lawyers. Recently, I got hit with my third. The charge was a DUI with refusal. Understand that a repeat DUI with refusal carries some very severe penalties such as large fines - AA's - MAAD's - classes - jail time. It is a PAIN IN THE ASS. After due diligence, I went with Nima here at the H Law Group. He has a great reputation for being extremely aggresive in court, and is very experienced in LA. Just his prescence, makes prosecutors roll their eyes because they know Nima will exploit everything possible, right or wrong. I wanted him to find a chink in their armor, which we could use to get the case dropped completely... avoiding the suspension and everything, even though I committed a crime. They went to the courts for me. I literally didn't do anything. Just having Nima, we were able to get a very good deal, which he strongly recommended me to take. I listened and got hit with that 2 year suspension and DUI. However, Nima was able to get them to drop the refusal (very severe and we were very fortunate), plus avoid all that MAAD/AA classes which are an extreme pain. We only got the minimum for DUI school, and for the fines, I listened to Nima telling me to add some more jail time to negate those fines, as he explained to me how LA prison is extremely overcrowded, so in the end the judge served me with a 19 day jail time sentence, and Nima explained to me that 19 days is actually only about 1 - 2 days maximum in reality. Although I accepted the deal, I was still a little upset that we could not win. Rest assured, Nima did everything he could. His associates and such subpeonaed everything, including all cameras possible and every single detail. Not a stone was left unturned. I was still very upset, but apparently LA is hard and in the end it was the cops word vs mine. Prior to going to jail, I failed to realize that this punishment I had was very good compared to the other potential consequences. NO LAWYER CAN BEAT THIS, but I was still very upset that I had some jail time and couldn't get it dropped. I failed to realize they did all they could, and that this was the best result I would EVER get, with ANY lawyer. I ended up doing that jail time, and what Nima said was 100% correct on the spot. I barely did over a day, but after going to that shithole full of lowlives and scum, it changed my life forever. Nima did an extremely amazing job, and the jail time I actually served, actually changed my life for the better, plus the punishments were very minimal, so there is no one better to go with than Nima. Jail was an extremely horrific experience. By far that was the worst day of my life. 1 day was EXACTLY the right amount to set me straight. In jail you are in an environment where most people are very bad people. Drugs, domestic violence, gun charges, pimping, etc.. you name it, it's there. What really changed me was during processing, I met a guy who was 1 year younger than me. This guy was on the same DUI charge as me, except he actually manslaughtered someone in the process, and had 11 fucking years. 11 fucking years. At that point I was only 12 hours in to my sentence, and I wanted so bad to get the fuck out of there. I could only imagine 11 years. May he find peace. That COULD have been me. That SHOULD have been me. But it WASN'T me. I am so fortunate. I could have EASILY hurt someone or get into an accident. But I didn't. What the judge and Nima did, thank you. After jail, I quit everything. No more weed. No more alcohol. Why do I need beer as a social lubricant, just so I can lose brain cells, make poor decisions, and get unhealthy? Why do I need weed to "relax", when it really fucks me up even more? My life was going down the drain, and it took this incident to fully realize it. I am now a changed man, and as a result, my businesses, my family, my friends, but most importantly; myself... will reap the rewards of this. My life was headed the wrong way, and it took me this punishment to make me see it. I will never forget this, and I have Nima & associates to thank for this. On top of that all other punishments were kept to a minimum. ***In conclusion, whether you want to get the best results possible & change your life; or NOT change your life, go with Nima. You have a great advantage with him going in. But it is up to you to change your life, because both you & I could have easily killed someone and spend a large chunk of life in jail... as a criminal... as a scum... as a lowlife. Nothing but good things too say. Got pulled over with a hefty amount of xanax I didn't have a prescription for. I got charged with DUID, possession of Xanax, and possession with Xanax without a prescription. This happened over 2 years ago and I only found out I had a warrant after I had moved states, and was told there was a warrant for FTA. I looked up some attorneys. They had a flat rate of 4500, and accepts payment plans. So that was perfect considering I had just purchased a house. Being that I was in a different state. I didn't want to fly out to every court appearance, and they made it happen so I didn't have to show up. They went in my behalf. I just completed my book and release process which was the only time I had to fly back out to California. Since I didn't get booked the initial arrest. At the end of it all, they got my DUID and possession charges dropped to a DUI...... but even better. William Trinidad called me back the next day and said he's certain he can get the dui dropped to just a wet reckless. Which constitutes only 1 year of probation instead of 3 years for a dui. Find yourself a better law firm, I regret my decision to select them. My main complaint among a few, was their failure to hire an expert before the pre- trial hearing. It was my understanding that they would, and they never brought one to the pre-trial. The administrative staff and paralegals were pleasant and seemed to be on top of things but that didn't make a difference in my case. In the end, I got the same deal I would have got with a free or low cost public defender. I understand the specifics of my case completely, but I don't think the lawyers did everything they could have done in order for me to get the best results.
