Which for curly hair girlies getting your hair washed usually means knots and tangles and fingers stuck in all your hair. There was none of this. And they give a nice little scalp massage. Then when you return to your seat they give you a neck and shoulder massage with essentials to fit your mood. All complimentary! Biz, herself, was easy to communicate my desired look with and she understood it to a "T" and delivered great results. I absolutely loved my transformation. Going from long hair to short hair can be scary and Biz made sure we were both on the same page for expectations. I also loved how she didn't push product or add ons. She gladly told me what products she used when I asked (because my hair looked the most fabulous it ever has, no frizz) but never gave me a sales pitch or pressure to buy or spend money I wasn't wanting to. She cut it dry, but didn't actually cut anything. I wish I was joking, she pulled hair out with her fingers, snapped the scissors, but not on my hair. Then said she wasn't going to wash it.... For 50$ it's included so I kindly asked her to wash it. Huge mistake. Should have just left. Only wet and washed the top cone of my head. The front pieces and around my neck weren't ever touched, product wasn't fully washed out. She proceeded to add 7-8 products to my hair while drying it, I looked like Cameron Diaz on there's something about Mary when I left. It was so oily and greasy and disgusting. I cried in the car after wasting that kind of time and money. The girl was so so nice, but worst hair experience ever. My usual hair girl was on maternity leave, so I was desperate for a cut. I told my usual hair girl about it and she informed me the salon owner tends to bully those that leave poor reviews about the salon on social media pretty hard- she showed me and I was appalled. The salon itself is very "liberal" politically with all the signage and stickers and conversation. I don't really care and respect everyone's right to their opinion and free speech- just a weird environment for a professional salon in my personal opinion. Finally, I've got it narrowed down to one stylist, I've double checked to make sure I don't see anything about closed books/not accepting clients, it all seems to check out, and it looks like they don't use a booking site, just DM or text to book. Perfect, I send the DM and I wait. Don't hear anything for about a week and I think, well, maybe they took some time off, they're super swamped, message got lost, whatever. I'm giving full benefit off the doubt. I decide to give it another go and send a text this time. Now here we are, another week has gone by with radio silence. Look, I'm not even upset that I can't get an appointment. You don't want my business, fine, but I'd rather you tell me to scram than get nothing at all. It's just frustrating to get no response at all, especially when there's posts on social media everyday, which leads me to believe my messages are just being ignored. She said no I got this now, my daughter sits she applies die all over and sets a 25 minute timer. During this time we learn she's getting ready for a concert eating dinner clearly excited for her plans (no harm there). Till my daughter's hair is dyed brown with what was supposed to be a trim looks like a toddler chopped away at the ends of her hair with dull play scissors. I will never ever return to this establishment and I will indefinitely share this expirence with everyone I know. My 14 year old devastated at the beginning of a very important chapter of her life.
