Halo laser had a week or so down time which while seeking medical care was not possible at the time. Time to time I inquired about my package from staff and was never once told about the expiration policy. When I went to schedule my first appointment, I was told my package had expired six months after purchase -- and they given me an extension period, again which I was never informed about. Not once during my visits was I ever informed that there was an expiration, nor was this policy clearly explained when I purchased the package. These treatments are not cheap, and I would have never spent that kind of money had I known the sessions would expire. It's extremely disappointing that they won't honor what was clearly a communication mistake on their end. I have given multiple details and documents and a doctor letter stating I was advised by my physician to hold off on lasers but the company isn't taking responsibility -- very unprofessional and not what I expected from a business in this industry. **Disagreeing with my review does not change the fact that payment was taken and services were not delivered WITH NO CLEAR COMMUNICATION ABOUT EXPIRATION. There r other similar reviews.

Here was my experience: I came in for a gel manicure and asked for a French tip design. I will say that the design looked nice, and it was the design that I requested. However, within 1.5 hours of leaving the salon, I noticed that the polish on one of my pinkies had chipped! Normally, I would go right back to the salon, so they could fix it. However, I was catching a flight. Thus, I was rushing around a bit afterwards to get to the airport on time, but I have gotten gel manicures many times before, and this is the first time it chipped so quickly. I came in with someone else, and she had even said she was concerned about her nails chipping because they only put one coat of polish. I guess I was case in point. I called and spoke with them; they requested pictures and took down my number. I did talk to a manager the next day about my experience. However, the manager reiterated multiple times that they do not offer any refunds. Normally, this would be fine, and I would go back in to get them fixed. However, I was only visiting Washington and visit sporadically (not even once per year). All she could offer was a discount or to work something out the next time I visit. I am certainly not hoping that anything will come of this, but I do hope they address this issue in the future so that other people's nails don't chip so quickly, especially because this salon is not cheap. With other nail salon options in the area and given my experience, I will likely not be back. I did give them 3 stars because they at least tried to address the issue (though not satisfactorily) and I did like my nail design. However, given the cost, I would rather go elsewhere in the future.

When I arrived on time for my appointment, I waited almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged or greeted me. I waited another few minutes to be taken to the pedicure chair. The nail technician did not tell me her name and she was not wearing a name tag. She was not very friendly and did not seem to want to talk to me. She did talk with a co-worker, so I know she was not mute. The salon needs to do a better job in training their employees on customer service. Otherwise, the service was good and I was satisfied with the pedicure. I will not be going back to this salon.

My wife recently came to Cultivate for all her hair needs including extensions and everything always came out looking extraordinary so when I learned that they did men's hair as well I scheduled an appointment with Stephanie. This was far and away the best experience I've had. Not only did my hair cut and beard trim look better than any other time I've had it professionally done, the experience as a whole was well worth it. Stephanie was very professional and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The studio is gorgeous and very accommodating. I will for sure be booking again and again in the future. Can't recommend Cultivate enough!

I had in-depth discussion on phone about my situation and was adamant I could not use any extensions that were sewn or taped due to pressure on my hair. I specifically asked about Halos. I was advised they did not do halos but they had many options to help that would not aggravate my hair loss and they scheduled me a consult to meet with the owner, Shaddrica, who would assess and put me with an appropriate specialist. When I arrived I met with someone else (not the owner) and was advised they only did 2 kinds of extensions...taped and sewn in! I told her I didn't think I should have to pay the $50 consult fee since I specifically told the scheduler I could not do those kind and was assured they had many other kinds. She apologized for the misinformation indicating they had a lot of new girls who are still learning. She went and talked to the owner who came out and talked with me for about 10 minutes, explained why halos wouldn't work and said they had some super lightweight, small tape ins that she was sure would not cause more hair loss and if they did, they would tell me right away. She said she'd do a color match and get pricing together for me while I thought about it as it would take a bit to do the pricing. She did not do the color match but did collect the $50 consult fee that she assured me could be applied to service. After not hearing from her about pricing and talking with my dermatologist, I messaged her to tell her I decided against taking a risk with any extensions until we figure out the hair loss cause and asked if she would apply the $50 to a deep conditioning treatment. No response. So, I'm out $50 and received nothing. They are $50 richer and get this review. Can't believe anyone these days
