    Brie always kills it at cutting my curly hair!

    I haven't found a new salon since my last one closed and was a bit nervous for my first time here but it went wonderful! I have curls and sometimes its hard to find a hairdresser that understands how they operate. Im so happy I was set up with Brie for my haircut and balayage, she is such a personable and talented hairdresser, I'll definitely be coming back to see her. She really listened to what I was looking for and made me feel super confident in her abilities (she also has gorgeous curls herself which is a bonus). I just let her do her thing and she seriously gave me exactly what I was hoping to achieve. I'm so happy with my hair! Hope you see this Brie 9/26 - I've been seeing Brie about once a year and she kills it! Love getting my curls cut by her and she also does an amazing job cutting my boyfriends long hair

    Alaina Nicole Marshall is the Best!!! I have been seeing her for years. She is the most thoughtful & detail oriented stylist. She is the only person I trust to do my hair, so of course I had to have her color and curl my hair for my wedding day! Highly recommend this gem, book your appointment in advance as she is so popular;)

    I had an appointment with Vicki and she did an incredible job! I showed her three pictures of (sort of) what I wanted and she did even better than I could have hoped. Wanting bangs, even side bangs, is sometimes scary but she delivered and styled it beautifully! Thank you Vicki!

    Icouldn't be more happy with this salon. I am not a newb when it comes to hair. I am extremely picky and precise when it comes to my hair. I will start from the beginning. I arrived at the salon 10mins early. They had all of the Covid PPE precautions. Temp checks, hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc. My stylist Charina was so cheerful, patient, kind, and took her time with me. She could tell right off the bat that I was no novice in the hair world. I sat down with a 6 box progressive photo montage of myself ready in hand to show her so she can see where I started 2yr ago with my hair in the middle of my back, where I have been (pixie 1yr ago) and what I am thinking about. It also gave her a good idea about my range of comfort in length and style. She joked many times that I was "talking her language" or "a dream client" or "she couldn't believe I knew all the hair terminology". I watch far too much youtube, had way too many bad hair cuts, and I listen closely when they do mess up so I know what to ask for when I get a correction. So I know when I things aren't blended correctly, or I have shelving, unbalanced layering, bulky framing, etc. She took her time, worked with me, gave me a FIRE cut, scalp massage, and blow out. I left feeling like a million dollars. What I loved the most were the following things: (first few are stylist focused last on the salon itself) 1. From the very beginning Charina got me. She made me aware that I WAS NOT married to her and that I could change stylists there at any time and I could correct her work if I wasn't liking it. 2. Charina wasn't constantly trying to sell me on something. Herself, a product, a tool, anything... 3. Charina respected that I knew what I was talking about and that I really was a woman who did do their hair daily. I am not a wash and go girl. I am a 1m products in the bathroom girl and I USE THEM. Embarrassing..I know. 4. Charina made suggestions and told me what she liked about the 6 box of photos I showed her of me. Which I respected. Most people shy away from constructive criticism but I loved that she didn't and that made me respect her. 5. Charina was genuine. For that reason alone, I will be back. She has a new client now. ME! 6. The salon over all was clean, neat, organized. Not overly product filled or product pushed. 7. Stan of Stan Parente was walking around talking to people, that felt super neat to me! 8. The entire staff felt approachable 9. Even during Covid, it still felt homey and inviting. Which is hard to achieve. 10. The Touches that each salon station has is very cute. Charina's fireplace chair is my favorite If I could give this salon a 11/10 I WOULD.

I had in-depth discussion on phone about my situation and was adamant I could not use any extensions that were sewn or taped due to pressure on my hair. I specifically asked about Halos. I was advised they did not do halos but they had many options to help that would not aggravate my hair loss and they scheduled me a consult to meet with the owner, Shaddrica, who would assess and put me with an appropriate specialist. When I arrived I met with someone else (not the owner) and was advised they only did 2 kinds of extensions...taped and sewn in! I told her I didn't think I should have to pay the $50 consult fee since I specifically told the scheduler I could not do those kind and was assured they had many other kinds. She apologized for the misinformation indicating they had a lot of new girls who are still learning. She went and talked to the owner who came out and talked with me for about 10 minutes, explained why halos wouldn't work and said they had some super lightweight, small tape ins that she was sure would not cause more hair loss and if they did, they would tell me right away. She said she'd do a color match and get pricing together for me while I thought about it as it would take a bit to do the pricing. She did not do the color match but did collect the $50 consult fee that she assured me could be applied to service. After not hearing from her about pricing and talking with my dermatologist, I messaged her to tell her I decided against taking a risk with any extensions until we figure out the hair loss cause and asked if she would apply the $50 to a deep conditioning treatment. No response. So, I'm out $50 and received nothing. They are $50 richer and get this review. Can't believe anyone these days

When I walked in, a blonde stylist in the back said, "I'll be right with you." I sat down and started checking my work emails. A moment later, she said something I didn't catch, then walked closer and asked, "Can I help you?" I let her know I had a 10 AM appointment. She responded, "Well, if you're late, we usually have to make you wait or reschedule." That seemed reasonable, and I was fine with it, even though there were no other waiting customers--just one person who had just finished their haircut. I replied, "Well, that's just the cost of doing business," intending to acknowledge the situation with understanding. However, she suddenly became defensive, saying, "You do not speak to me that way or mistreat my staff." This took me by surprise, as the entire exchange had lasted less than two minutes, and I had been polite. Not wanting to escalate the situation, I simply left. It was a bizarre encounter, and I hope she approaches future interactions with more positive intent. I would have happily rescheduled or even paid a late fee if that was the policy. I am older client with fine and thinning hair and this stylist had good suggestions on a cut and style that would make it look fuller. Even if I don't have time or money in a particular day to do a full shampoo and style, they usually are polite and helpful. I consider it a good sign that some of the same stylists have been there for years now. It's not a glamour salon but very practical and comfortable enough (I tried another "inexpensive" salon in the area which had terrible lighting and high turnover on stylists, so I appreciate this) I've not tried coloring services here myself, so can't comment on that.
