I hired this firm to represent me in my divorce matter and, unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. To date, I have paid this firm over $30,000 in legal fees, yet I cannot recall a single point during my case when I felt satisfied with the service I received. The experience was frustrating from start to till date . My biggest concern was billing transparency. After receiving a significant invoice following mediation, I conducted a detailed review of all invoices issued throughout my case. Prior to that review, I trusted that I was being billed only for work that was actually performed and accurately described. However, after carefully reviewing the invoices, I found multiple entries that appeared repetitive, described similar work using different billing descriptions, referenced work product that I could not locate, or raised questions about whether the work had actually been completed. I was also concerned by charges that appeared unrelated to advancing my case. For example, I was billed for matters involving meeting rescheduling and attorney changes within the firm. In my view, internal staffing decisions, scheduling changes, and administrative matters are firm-management issues and should not result in additional costs to the client. Throughout my representation, I observed multiple charges that appeared administrative in nature rather than substantive legal work. Another frustration was the lack of visibility into work that was supposedly completed. Billing entries referenced account updates, reviews, audits, and other activities, yet I was unable to identify corresponding updates or work product in my client portal. When I requested clarification, I often received additional emails that generated further billable charges instead of clear answers to my questions. Communication was another challenge. I requested in-person meetings to discuss my concerns, but much of the communication occurred through email, resulting in additional charges while many of my questions remained unresolved. As a client, I felt that my concerns about billing, transparency, and case management were not adequately addressed. we hire them so we can get the best result, yet they disappoint you all the time. I understand that legal matters are expensive and that attorneys deserve to be compensated for their time and expertise. However, clients should be able to clearly understand what work was performed, why it was necessary, and how charges were calculated. In my case, I did not feel that level of transparency was provided. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage prospective clients to carefully review every invoice, request detailed explanations of billing entries, and closely monitor costs throughout their representation.
